Installers made permanent changes to my dryer vent without my consent, damaging the existing oval dryer vent in the wall. The adapter I had available to meet the oval to round conversion was ignored by the installers and afterward they stated they "always" make these permanent crimping changes to oval dryer vents, damaging them in the process. The damage is unrepairable at this point. The Hagedorn installers have a nasty habit of ignoring the homeowner's concerns through their arrogance and 'installer entitlement' and are backed up in their ignorance by their managers. read more

BEWARE OF THE BAIT AND SWITCH REBATE. We purchased an LG washer and dryer and was told we would get $100 REBATE back for each and we could put toward another year of warranty. In trying to register the set online is was the biggest pain the rear. Then to get the rebate was the biggest pain the rear. Then you forget you have the rebate, which is the biggest pain in the rear, when you receive an email saying activate your rebate. Then when you activate it, another pain in the rear, if you request a physical card they take $20 off each. So your total back is $160 instead of $200; AND, then you have only a select number of places to use it. OF COURSE THEY DON'T TELL YOU ANYTHING ABOUT ANY OF THIS. Biggest pain in the rear. read more

No schedule calls in the morning of service, no call backs from customer service and excuse after excuse as to why I've been stood up for service and why I haven't been called in the first place to time my service call OR why I haven't been called back from the office. And for the record, I'm not asking them to do anything they didn't already promise me they'd do...just actually do that or don't say it. That's where my frustration is. Wanted to shop at a local business instead of the big box stores. Ordered a complete kitchen, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and hood vent. Waited about a month and no contact from the sales person. Called and left a message, no return call. Called again, waited a week, no return call. So, I just went to the store. Finally got the one sales person to help me and found that all the appliances were in except the stove. Asked if they could deliver what was in stock, and they did. Waited about 3 more weeks and called again. No return call again. Called back, got one of the Charlies told me he would go to purchasing and find out about the stove. Never called back. I did call back the following day and found a sales person who was rude, told me it took a long time to get stoves due to the shortages. I order this in Feb, it's now April. Asked if he could find an eta, told me he would call back. Didn't call. Always making excuses and telling me some people wait 2 years for appliances. Really??? what do people think, we are all stupid? I'm warning you before you go and pay for appliances and then can't get them. If you like being treated as if you are stupid, go to Hagedorn's. If you need an appliance, I'd say go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get what you need. read more

I'll never do business with Hagedorn again - they installed a floor model refrigerator/freezer that had a cracked drip pan that leaked and caused significant damage to my kitchen floor. Then they sold be a dishwasher that leaked, and did further damage to the same floor. Hagedorn's salesman sold me a Frigidaire refrigerator/freezer, and the freezer completely failed within 18 months, and cost to repair was estimated at $1,000, so now I'm shopping for a new appliance with their competitor. Their response was "well, we don't manufacture the appliance...". If I could give them a -10 rating, that would be justified. read more

Can I give them zero stars? I realize there is a pandemic and appliances are hard to get. I just didn't expect to be yelled at and lied to by the store employee! I ordered a stove and refrigerator in May 2020 and was told they would both be in by the end of June. The female salesperson told me to call anytime and that she would keep me informed of the status of my order. I called at the end of June, my refrigerator was in but no stove. She did not call me. I asked if I could have the frig delivered sha reluctantly said yes if I really did not want to wait. She said the stove should be in 2 weeks later. I got the frig. I waited another month and called again. This time I was told the stove would be in on Aug 13. Aug 13 came and went, no call, I finally called the sales lady at the end of Aug. Again Never once did she initiate the call. Anyway, now she says it will be October. I told her I was losing confidence in the times I was given and she proceeded to yell at me and dared me to cancel my order because I would never find a stove anywhere else. I had to tell her to calm down and let ME talk for a minute, told her to check again with her distributor and call me back. I AM THE CUSTOMER AND SHE IS YELLING AT ME!! Nastiest salesperson ever! She called the next day, now she says Later this year maybe, do I want to cancel? YES, I most certainly DID cancel. I wouldn't work with Hagedorn's or that nasty salesperson again for anything!!! Bought a new slide in range/oven with a glass top. The glass top had an overhang that I was concerned about with the delivery (scratches, chips). The delivery was flawless because they care about the appliances getting to you in new condition! Josh delivered and installed and it was flawless! He took care to move it up the stairs with extra padding around the glass edge. Josh was knowledgeable and put me at ease that a professional was installing! Same price listed was same as Home Depot sale price. Great experience all around. The store was closed due to COVID-19 but the sales person, Paul, was very helpful and knowledgeable!!! The installer at Hagedorn came out free of charge to check our space and see if they had a model that would fit. They did have one and the installer replaced our range even cutting away part of the cabinet and countertop. He put down mats to protect our floor. I recently had a problem with my refrigerator not cooling properly. When the technician came out he told me that the cooling fan for the compressor was bad. He ordered part and came back and replaced it. Within a couple of weeks the refrigerator again was not cooling properly and in addition the freezer was frosting up. Since it was within a 30 day period they sent the same tech. back, but it took over a week to get him here. When he arrived, I told him what was happening and he proceeded to tell me that what he repaired had nothing to with the current problem and insisted that the freezer frosting could only be caused by a bad seal, although he did not physically check it,but did offer to order a new one. I called Days Appliance Repair and within 5 minutes of arriving, their tech. diagnosed the problem to a bad fan in the freezer compartment. Part ordered and replaced. Problem solved. The previous owner of our house went to this store for all their kitchen appliances. If one of the appliances had a problem I called this store also for service and repair. The people who showed up were always courteous and helpful and very efficient and gave us good service. Over the years we've had to replace some of those same appliances and guess who we went to...Hagedorn. I don't think there's much worse in a household than having an appliance breakdown and You have to fumble around While you wait for help. Hagedorn always comes to the rescue. We had to replace a stove top unit recently and The staff there helped tremendously in finding a new stove top that would fit in the same size Compartment. My wife had recently used our card without telling me, so when I went to pay for it, there wasn't enough in the checking account. I left and went to switch money over but couldn't make it back by closing because I got called back to work. I have never posted a review let alone a negative one. But my recent experience w/ Hagedorn Appliance in Erlanger, KY for a service call was completely unacceptable. I purchased a Bosch dishwasher from Hagedorns 18mos ago. It stopped filling. I first called a plumber who confirmed it was not a supply issue. Next step was to have the dishwasher looked at. So I called Hagedorns as I have for many many years. When the service tech came out last week he checked & said he couldn't find anything wrong. Started the dishwasher through a cycle & said it filled. He was there 20 mins. Last weekend I tried to use the appliance & encountered the same malfunction. I called the store explained my problem & was told that the appliance was working when the service tech left & they recommended that I call Bosch direct. I advised the rep @ the store that I would, but if it couldn't be remedied I wanted a follow up service call. I was told it would be 2 weeks before anything could be scheduled. Hagedorn had no issue scheduling my initial request when they charged $90! I did call Bosch & the customer service rep was very helpful & walked me through resetting the unit. That worked. As a certified Bosch dealer why Hagedorn couldn't or wouldn't help me is very frustrating. My family has bought multiple appliances & used Hagedorn for service for many years. Based on this experience I will NOT be using them again. Money talks & mine will be going else where. read more

I shopped here because I was concerned about the level of service and the quality of installation from a big box store. I found a new stove that was a little more expensive than Lowe's or Home Depot, but thought the extra money would be worth it considering I had used Hagedorn's to service my washer just 2 weeks earlier. They had a good reputation for their service. When the day came for my stove delivery and installation, I was shocked to find out that they were using a contract crew, not their own employees. After 3 phone calls i finally reached someone at the store who confirmed that the people installing my stove were contractors. At no point during sale was it ever disclosed that anyone other than their own people would be installing my stove. I wrote a 3 page letter to the President of the company and he still does not have the temerity to write me back to apologize for the deceptive business practice. I won't use this company again. Horrible customer service! I scheduled a fridge repair with them for a rental house. This morning I called to confirm the time and was told I was not on the schedule. They said they had left a message for my tenant and she had never called back and the earliest they can get me in was next Tuesday! First, if they couldn't get ahold of her, they should have called ME back. I was the one who scheduled it, I was the one paying for it, I am the owner. Second, my renter doesn't have voicemail. So there was NO way they "left a message" for her. Liars. I received no apology, no sympathy no remorse from them at all. (It turns out they also have one of the highest service call rates in town). I woke up to find my 11 year old fridge melting. A friend recommended I call Hagedorn's. So I did. I told Dan, the repair tech. It's an old fridge so we would either replace or fix if possible. Since it was unexpected I was hoping for fix. Lol. And sure enough Dan fixed it. He did a great job. He checked all the components and knew right away that it was a relay switch. He even gave great advice on what to look for when we do need to replace the old fridge. Absolutely worth it! It was like having my Dad come out and fix it which was great. Our LG Washer needed repaired. This was the 3rd time in 10 years and after spending an hour and a half on hold with an authorized LG service provider, we were told it would be over 2 weeks before a repair person could come to our house. This is due to the pandemic and everyone is behind. After reviewing our records, we realized it was 10 years old and this would be the 3rd repair in 10 years. Decided it was time for a new one. I had researched washers during the last repair and discovered Speed Queen would be the way to go. We went to Hagedorn as Speed Queen is only sold through authorized dealers. I am tired of the big box stores and the lack of service. We walked in and were greeted by Erin. She greeted us with kindness and when told her we were in the marked for a new washer she recommended Speed Queen. She was very knowledgeable about all the models and even said she has one at home. The model we chose was the one with the 7 year warranty. I was also happy to discover that Hagedorn will service it if we ever need it. That excites me to know I will have a local company to deal with instead of an 800#. Erin also informed us that Speed Queen is based in Wisconsin so no need to wait on parts (esp during a pandemic). We asked when it could be delivered and she said - how about tomorrow? We decided to have it delivered on a Saturday. The guys called and said they would be at our home bet 10-12 and they arrived around 11:30. Charlie was very professional and took great care in installing our new washer. We are very pleased with our experience with Hagedorn and would highly recommend over any big box store! read more
