It's a YES for me. Simply come inside and fill out a slip of how u want your pizza. Hand it in and wait about 3 mins. Your pizza will be piping hot and ready!! So many toppings, pizza is soooo good and there fast. Plus on Tuesday you get free ice cream (great flavors of ice cream too) Prices is reasonable (similar to &pizza) At this location there is typically a crocs but the line moves fast. For example I only had 22 mins for lunch ordered my pizza and for my food with 14 mins left to eat. read more

Every once in a while I get a craving for pizza and so the search for gluten free (me) and regular (partner) begins! Solid 3.5 stars for DoorDash order (partner would say 4.5). I had the veggie pizza, GF, with pepperoni added. It was good - and fresh! - but nothing special. I prefer a thicker crust and more distinct flavor profile, esp. at that price point! I like the business and would consider ordering from them again and maybe making my own pizza, esp after seeing so many other positive reviews. read more

Great setup, with friendly staff. My pizza was excellent but the crust really stood out! Plus, we came on a Tuesday, where you apparently get a free ice cream. Family of 4 was stuffed and leaving with leftovers -- for under $60! I personally root for places like this! read more

Visited for lunch and enjoyed the pizza. Ordering is done by self selecting your pizza dough, sauce, cheese and toppings on a form then they make and bake right in front of you. Very quick and tasty. Reasonably priced and each pizza could be individual or shareable depending on your appetite. Great place to walk to and carry out or sit and eat. I can't say enough about Rae. We had stopped to buy a bottle of red wine to enjoy with our pizza back at our hotel. On the way to DC Pizza, we realized our pizza would be cold by the time we got back with it, so we called to ask if we could open it at DC Pizza and drink it there at their tables. She said yes. Only problem was we didn't have our wine opener with us. We stopped at two stores on the way to no avail. But Rae decided to run (yes, run) across the street and borrowed one from the hotel. And then she ran it right back as promised. That's wow service!! On to the pizza! Thin crust and we requested well done and it was perfect! Convenient pizza shop near other place that ended up closed. 1/2 the restaurants in DC are closed for Covid. This is a 3 min rapid bake personal type pizza joint. You get a rounded rectangle pie cut into 8 pieces. About 7.50$ for a cheese & 10 for up to 4 toppings. Lotsa toppings options. Few free accompaniments are available too. I got chicken, roasted red pepper, green pepper, onion. Added parm cheese, basil, bbq sauce on the side. The crust was thin and crunchy. Toppings were a fair portion. Coulda used a tad more sauce. Service was fast and ladies were mostly understandable & nice. There was some seating against wall like a bar. Hungry guy like me could eat whole thing, my girls about half. read more

The pizza here did not disappoint! I'm not a huge thick crust person so I really love the fact that they have thin, perfectly cooked crust on their pizza. I love the concept behind coming, grabbing a paper, highlighting your choices and taking it up when your ready with the pizza being made right there! I gave four stars instead of five because I believe they should have a few more choices when it comes to their options such as a garlic sauce, and a few more proteins. I believe that this will take it up a notch and is a small addition. I love that they recycle their boxes, the dough is knead here and the prices are pretty decent for what you're getting. My partner and I shared a pizza, which was perfect. I also wish that they had a few more drink options but that's not huge since there is a Wawa next door. Overall, great pizza. Our first here! We chose it because of the good reviews on THIN crust pizza. First off, all the employees were really friendly, which was nice. Secondly, the pizzas were both fabulous! 1. personals with 4 free toppings (including meat, which is nice!): diced ham, spinach, sliced tomatoes, and mushrooms, reg. sauce. 2. sausage, red onion, diced green pepper, tomatoes. Cheese blend: mozz/provolone (you don't see provolone offered much and in my opinion it is the BEST for pizza). Sauce (we had reg. tomato sauce and spicy tomato sauce). The tomato sauce had a wonderful FRESH texture (like it came from fresh tomatoes or from Italy, nice bright light red color). Pizzas were really good (and better than & Pizza, in my opinion). Crust was especially good (thinnish, but with a nice puffy texture, too). We saw several people coming in to order while we ate outside (tables with umbrellas). The delivery guy tells me "this is the best pizza in DC". He wasn't kidding! Although being a tourist, I have nothing to compare it to lol but I was very satisfied and really loved this pizza! I got 2 personal pies. Which were actually quite large and are shareable in my opinion. Unless you're really hungry or have a large appetite. Seeing as I have an early start tomorrow I'll likely have my leftovers for breakfast (yum! Cold pizza for breakfast!). Having walked all day in the hot sun I chose delivery because my feet just couldn't take the walking anymore. They quoted 45-55 minutes but it was in my hands within 30 minutes. Pretty standard if you ask me. And it was hot and didn't taste like it had been sitting in someone's car for an hour while they made multiple delivery stops. Order, go, eat, whatever you do, but trust the delivery guy. This likely could be the best pizza in DC! It definitely hit the spot for me and my kids! read more

It's a crime that I haven't reviewed this place yet, considering we order from here on an average of once a week. As some background, I don't like mozzarella cheese. That makes pizza pretty much a non-starter for me, but DC Pizza lets me customize a pizza without cheese. They get a ton of credit just for that, but even my normal-pizza-loving-wife agrees that the pizzas are great. In addition, the owners are incredibly friendly, and for close local delivery they use bike messengers who are some of the nicest people I've ever interacted with. When we eventually leave DC, DC Pizza will be one of the key things I miss. In the meantime, we'll just keep our order cadence high. read more

If you've been following me you know I love pizza in all shapes and sizes. This was my second time going to this place and I feel like a pro (The first time I wasn't sure how to order and the guy behind the counter came and explained how things worked). Pizza is great! Lots of cheese! Quickest pizza place I've ever been to and super friendly and helpful staff. Pizza's are around $10 for up to 4 toppings. You can't beat the price either. Store set up causes some congestion but nothing to keep you away from trying this spot out. read more

As you walk up to order, you'll see the huge variety of tasty, local ingredients that we will use to create your pizza. There's three steps to an amazing pizza. First, customize your pie by choosing from six options: Pick your crust (gluten free available), one of six savory sauces including classic tomato, Basil pesto, Creamy Alfredo, fresh cheeses, all the traditional proteins like pepperoni and sausage, tons of veggies, and then add a final finishing touch like fresh basil or our marvelous parmesan garlic & rosemary olive oil. Once you've designed your masterpiece, you're 2 minutes away from pizza paradise as we bake it in our ovens. For the last step, we'll throw on your chosen cold toppings (free finishes) and voila -- your own personal pie is done. Fountain soda or big variety of bottled drinks. Meet the Business Owner: Lisa L.

DC Pizza is the dream made reality for owners Bob Daly and Lisa Lakin. Bob and Lisa have been friends and business partners for over 30 years. Together, they've run successful restaurants, and hope to add DC Pizza to that list with your help! After selling the California Tortilla in Chinatown and then taking back the ownership of the California Tortilla in Rockville, MD they wanted to expand into something of their own. They decided that their shared love of pizza would be the perfect fit for them. After settling on a location, 1103 19th street NW DC, Bob and Lisa set to work on creating the menu. Never the "less is more" type of people, they put together a menu full of only the best variety, wanting their customers to have the freedom to mix and match. We know everyone has a favorite pizza. That month I had started Uber driving, was in this area of DC, had heard good things about Wiseguy, and decided to eat here. Although I don't like paying to park just to simply eat a meal, I sometimes will make an exception for convenience and/or if it's a place I really want to go. But for the most part, I'll go to restaurant where they have free parking or at least I can find free parking near the restaurant. I remembered getting a parking spot very close and feel like I feed the meter like 50 cents in 2014 parking prices for a quick 30 minute meal. They have all kinds of varieties of slices from the standard toppings or just cheese to fancy ones. Although the pizza is fairly thin, but average for New York style pizza. I tried Andy's Pizza 11 years later in 2025, and while it was solid although not as good as Wiseguy, my real complaint with Andy's was that the pizza is very thin, where I was hungry very soon later; so a much worse value as pricing is comparable to Wiseguy. Wiseguy slices are big, and the pizza is top notch New York style. I went to this location a couple of more times after my initial August 2014 visit as I loved the pizza. Then, they opened up other locations. I went to Navy Yard one at least twice, once after a Nationals baseball game after a disappointing loss for my 4th favorite baseball team, Texas Rangers. Sorry Nats fans, but Nats are in my bottom 10 teams. I also went to Rosslyn & Pentagon City location, where parking isn't quite as bad. They even had a Wheaton Mall food court location, which I got to experience once, but they sadly closed. Every experience with Wiseguy has been positive.

We arrived 20 minutes to closing, not realizing their hours, but they were open & it's pizza & cooks fast. Yet it was abundantly clear they were hoping no one walked in & we were told they were closing so we asked if we could order and they hesitated. We were about to leave when they said yes. We were a party of three & ordered three pizzas to share & try. They were decent and the other two really liked the dough but I actually did not care for it. They staff cleaned around us including at our table & had their music going. Then they sat on the counter and watched us, lol. Not a fun experience & we would not have bothered them had we known. If you are open then you are open, otherwise close up early. No real desire to go back!

We were astonished to see him welcome people through the door as well. Overall, this was a very uncomfortable experience. There is fantastic playlist with a mix of different genres going at all times of the day. The disco ball window seats are my favorite because you can't possibly have a bad day after eating a slice under disco ball lights LOL. Protest is very popular but even when packed you can get a slices easily because they have pies pre-sliced and ready to go at the pizza bar. A whole pie order takes about 15 minutes. Their vegetarian choices are great and often named after something local. Today, I had a "Green Line" slice which had a pesto sauce instead of a tomato sauce, red pepper and spinach. The salads are tasty and made from fresh ingredients. These are not premade so you may get your salad after your slices are finished being heated up. Drinks and FroYo- this is a great combo and especially fun to have on a lazy weekend afternoon. I haven't tried their happy hour yet, but with summer on its way, I am sure I'll be back at Protest Pizza soon!
