This is hands down the best Kia dealership I've been to. I've purchased and serviced cars at both the Ventura and Glendale locations, and neither comes close to the exceptional service at First Kia. Every interaction I've had with them has been wonderful, starting from the moment I called to schedule my service appointment. I had my service and recall completed here today, and the experience was outstanding. I recently moved to Simi, just a few blocks from the dealership, so this was my first time visiting this location. Brian Fox was my service advisor, and he was fantastic. He was incredibly kind, helpful, and communicative throughout the entire process. He kept me updated on my vehicle and clearly explained everything that needed to be done. One of my coworkers also brings her car here and always speaks highly of Brian, and now I completely understand why. This was probably the best experience I've ever had at a Kia dealership. They definitely have a lifelong customer in me now, and when I'm ready to purchase a new vehicle, I will absolutely be buying it here. Horrifically run KIA dealership by simply an incompetent GM who calls himself, Johnny KIA. Not sure if he's trying to be comical or if that's really and coincidentally his name! It's sad as it kind of ruins good car buying experience on a good car. I called his dealership about an issue with our new KIA and this upfront person called Brian or Brandon keeps telling me that "well, you didn't buy the car from us"!!!! Really?? And I keep trying to tell him that the car is under manufacturer's warranty, and he keeps repeating the same idiotic response that he'd been thought like a broken record. Went for a walk while I waited, took a nap in their customers lounge, and my car was ready. Only had oil change, tire rotation, and fluid check. Car wash was added for free. The cost was $100. So I went to first Kia of Simi Valley to purchase a brand new 2026 Kia EV. I asked the dealer if Kia would buy out the remaining five months of my lease. They agreed to do so and I purchased a 2026 Kia EV. I did not lease the vehicle. Paid cash. A few months later I get a bill for 400 dollars saying I owe a disposition fee. Which is a turn in fee. I called Kia finance and they told me I owe the 400. Tried to explain to no avail that First Kia bought out my lease. I called First Kia and they refused to work with me. So I owe the 400. It was NEVER explained to me about that I would owe the disposition fee. If it was explained to me we might have worked out some sort of deal. I will NOT ever do business again with this dealership. read more

If I could rate zero stars for the service center at this Kia I would. I am furious at the customer service. I went because they sold me a car that was certified preowned and one of my tires went flat and there was nothing wrong with the tire so when I went there, they said I needed an alignment. They told me to wait two hours and it would be ready. After waiting two hours, I went to one of the Brian's and he told me that I need to buy two new tires before they can do the alignment on my car. So I waited two hours for nothing wasting my entire day and then you just sold me this car and I've only driven 2000 miles and I already need an alignment. Which is ridiculous because it should've already had an alignment when I bought it. I don't drive like a race car driver. I should not need an alignment already. Ryan Brown was there and offered his phone. first i had to find phone numbers on the internet and he let me use his computer. then i noticed i lost a bag i had. he went to the customer lounge to retrieve it, though i offered to go. he just did everything to help me. he is the very definition of "customer service". No one came out to help me. The place was deserted. I got back in my car and was driving away. A man came out talking on his phone. Thought he might acknowledge me, but no, he was just going to his car. I stopped and said "I wanted to buy a new Sorento, but I guess I will just go to the Ventura Kia Dealer." This will be the fourth automobile I have bought on my own. My credit is excellent. Women are not treated seriously at car dealerships and it really is annoying. My husband and I went to First Kia this evening to look at the Kia Telluride. Jesus the sales consultant was kind and patient with us as we are navigating which car will be best for our family. After Jesus brought us a quote for a car I was extremely interested in ( it was my top choice), my husband was curious about how they came up with this number and was asking multiple questions about it. We decided to think about it and come back another day. As we were walking out, the finance manager said something negative about my husband, stating "this is why you don't deal with people that think they know what they are talking about". We are trying to find a car that is suitable and safe for our family that is in our budget and we are being belittled because my husband asked questions about the quote. The Kia Telluride is one of our top contenders to purchase for our family but we will not be buying it from the Simi Valley Kia. Terrible service and disgraceful management On 2/19 I took my K5 in for 2 recall services to be completed. After getting into my car, I look up to drive off and I immediately notice a 5" long crack in the middle of the windshield. I get out showed the service advisor. He says it was there when I dropped the car off and that he penciled in a x mark on his paper notating the crack in that area. Conveniently, it was on his copy but not on mine that I was given after the recall service was completed. It definitely was not cracked when I brought my car in so I asked to talk to the manager. I showed Greg Thoma, the "service manager" the crack and he said it was there when I brought it in. On the inspection paper it doesn't show any notation of a crack on the windshield or any of the dents or marks around my car (left blank) that Greg tried using to defend his position, so how can the inspection be trusted? The inspection they claimed to have done is a joke. How can they inspect a car for damage without me there to check and sign off on it? After I told him the crack was not there when I dropped it off. Greg suggested I didn't see the scratch because of the rain. I told him would've seen it despite the rain and I reiterated it was not there when I dropped the car off. He then goes all defensive by walking around my car pointing out small dents and and scratches saying did we do these too? I said no, I know how those dents got there and what does that have to do with my windshield? He said that's a $700 windshield and we're not paying it. I told him again my windshield was not like that this morning. Greg shrugged and said don't come back here anymore. That is a wild approach. Not only rude and disrespectful but his behavior is unacceptable. He literally tells me to not come back to the dealership before I even told him to fix the damaged windshield. He had no intention of calmly explaining and proving that KIA is not at fault, he just wanted me gone. I tried to get Greg's last name and info from the advisor and GM both declined and said to find it online. After that I just got into my car and left because I ran out of time and had leave since they had my car for 6 hours. Greg Thoma has no business working at any company, let alone a manager position. His actions will cost KIA a lot of future business. I will definitely take his advice and not come back and buy another car from this dealership or company! I'm certain after Greg reads this, he won't care but I expect nothing less based on his aggressive behavior and unprofessionalism. *Update* Instead of apologizing for Greg's behavior and fixing the problem, the owner attempts to go on the defensive by straight up lying. At no point was an inspection done in the beginning when I was there. Only when they brought my car back, I mentioned the crack. I literally said to Greg how can you guys do an inspection when I wasn't present for it? Greg responded by saying that I don't have to be present while they did the inspection The advisor said he needed my signature to confirm the two recalls were completed. I was NOT signing that the condition of my car is good. You guys didn't even bring me my car to inspect before having me sign off... This dealership is an absolute sh*t show. Called for over an hour to try to get my car in under warranty as gas was showing no gas in car (likely electrical) drove it first thing in the morning the manager was there said I have no appointment I can not help you explained my issue and he said sorry I don't smell gas so it's likely electrical and that the soonest appointment was May to help me address the issue. This is specifically for the service/ maintenance department - the reason I'm not giving 1 star is my Kia purchase with First Kia went great & I felt confident with my purchase. For maintenance - trying to get a hold of them is brain numbing, it should not be this hard. I called a few different times over a 45 minute period with no one answering. I ended up calling the operator with no luck and eventually sales as they actually answered the phone. Over the past 3-5 times I've been there for maintenance they will quote around 2-3 hours but will take closer to 6 hours. If you choose to get maintenance here, do not wait or need your car that day, get an uber or have someone pick you up. I have never had a better experience buying a car than the one I just had with 1st Kia of Simi this past weekend. I made the switch from Nissan and fell in love with the Kia Telluride. After 1 test drive I knew I had to have it. My whole experience with the buying process was so easy and pleasant. I cannot say enough good things about this dealership and staff. We did not have an appointment and walked in on a Sunday afternoon. We were promptly attended to by Joe with no wait at all. Everything was done on his phone so we did not have to step foot inside the offices and were in our test drive with in minutes of arriving. Joe was extremely knowledgeable and took time to explain all the features etc. Joe took us to check out other models like the sorento and EV but I knew I wanted the Telluride and loved the one we test drove. About a week prior Cody helped my husband look at cars as well but he was with another family when we arrived Sunday so Joe stepped in. Once Cody was finished and found out we were back he immediately came over and greeted us and went over everything while Joe worked on applications etc. Talk about amazing service! I looked in owner manual and learned it was likely a catalytic converter problem - yikes. my first call to the dealer service department was at approx 10:15AM, my second call at about 1:30PM. I received a return call at about 2:30, and was told First Kia of Simi Valley was unable to address my situation until June! JUNE?!?! of course now I have to find a good private mechanic, but .....I advise you to avoid First Kia of Simi Valley if you can't plan your emergency 2 months in advance. One of many bad reviews on their Service Department. I haven't had a good experience at the Service Department. I worked at a fleet vehicle maintenance shop and worked with dozens of dealerships for warranty work or parts and by far this has been the worst experience. 1st visit: Advisor was hesitant to look at possible warranty work and wanted me to take it to the original dealership I bought it from. Why would the Kia app suggest this dealer if they're not going to want to work on it. Had the first maintenance per manufacturer recommendation. Service advisor kind of chuckled and was like "well it's an EV so all we do is rotate the tires what else are we supposed to look at" I don't know if he was being sarcastic or being honest. If all they did was rotate the tires I would've gone down the street to get it done for free. Like come on, way to try to make a customer feel like they just threw away their money or dumb for having it worked on here. 2nd visit: Well attempt, I tried reaching out due to screen randomly not turning on. Couldn't see our speed, battery level, etc. Because it was back to normal they said it would be kind of pointless. So I decided to write down how many times the screen did so if they couldn't recreate, I could at least explain it had happened 7 times that we at least wrote it down. 3rd visit: I was finally ready to take it in for the screen and to my surprise, there was finally a recall notice for the same screen issue I was experiencing. I called and they said I had to wait about 6 weeks because they had to order a screen to fix the issue. They said there were other recalls and informed me it would more than likely take more than one day. I informed that we require the third row because of family size and asked if there was a loaner or rental I could get, it being warranty work and every other car I've owned that had warranty work offered a loaner or rental. They said they normally don't do rentals but they would figure out something to make sure I had vehicle. Fast forward to service date. When I asked about the rental or loaner they gave a quick we don't do that, I told them about my conversation from 6 week prior and quickly he responded with "Kia doesn't do that and it's a software update, we don't replace the screen" Had to take time off of work so my wife could use my car. On top of that when I asked about a shuttle, they said I lived too far. So not only was I lied to about having to wait 6 weeks for a screen, I was also misinformed about getting a vehicle to get my family around which caused us both to miss work, cancel a medical appointment because now my wife had to pick me up from the dealership. Even with my car, if they don't have a rental or loaner, they at least offered me Uber credits to get around and will add more if needed. But nope not here. When I got my car they tried upselling how they "detailed" the interior on the house even though it was just a quick vacuum and quick wipe down on the dash and arm rest. They didn't bring up the fact that now my arm rest rattles as I drive, the obvious spots the techs used to take the headliner out from either small tear indents, the falling rubber seal on one of the doors, loose headliner pins, or the dirty spots they left around the headliner. They even reached out to make sure I gave them an amazing review or to let them know if I had any issues. Yeap I told them there was issues and of course... no reply. Just another automated message the day asking to leave them an excellent review. I was hesitant in buying a Kia in the first place but after my buying experience (different dealership) bugs with my wife's car and app, and experience at this service department, I think this is the only Kia we'll ever buy and definitely the last time we take to get work on it done here. read more

We have have had some great sales service there in the past but today was by far the BEST! We are an older couple and when my wife's car was totaled, we were not looking forward to getting a new but this is the first place we went. I was sold the service contract when I bought my daughters car. I was told it would act just like the warranty and cover everything except I was told that I have to pay a $300 diagnostic fee for them to just look at it. I'm holding off on this because it's still under warranty for a couple more years and she hardly drives to Car due to being in college but I would never recommend buying a car from First Kia First Honda or First Nissan . How are having bad experience I do recommend a Hyundai from Thousand Oaks. I'm looking on the market right now and this is just turning me away from going back to First kia. read more

I gave them a weeks notice and when I arrived at my appointment they said they didn't have the parts with a "whatever" attitude like they couldn't care less. If this dealership was my only Kia option, I would not own a Kia. In summary, compared to other dealerships their inventory is very limited and rarely have access to inter-dealership trades. They are unwilling to go through the efforts of inter-dealership inventory trades, they do not answer or return calls, their service department is always unavailable. Every time I try to make an appointment, it is offered for several months later (no exaggeration). If I did not know better, I would think this dealership is going out of business. read more

A horrible experience. We received 5 update notices from Kia for our EV6. We made 6 attempts for service appt to get the update/ recalls done. All this time getting further reminders from Kia. Unless we paid for a cabin filter and tire rotation, we were rudely told First Kia would not take the car into service by all service writers. We had already changed the cabin filter and had the tires rotated on the road when we recently had a flat fixed. We tried phone appointments, online appointments and in person appointments and were rudely shut out all 6 times. We remained polite. If you are disrespected always respond with respect. I ventured into the First Kia building open door to a hallway to find and talk a manager and was accused of entering the managers office of which I did not. I will be more than happy to sit with management and review the security tape. They know who I am. An enraged man was sitting in an office and screamed out into the hallway to leave. He later entered the service drive and threatened me, toe to toe screaming at me. We've bought many new vehicles from First Auto Group, had outside of business and good relationships with managers and will never do business here again. We took our EV6 to another Kia dealer who was glad to serve us. They gave us a new loaner car, Stanley coolers and collapsible cooler bag. All free and covered by warranty, our EV6 detailed and charged when we picked it up. Rather than help customers and fix issues, First Kia contacts Yelp and gets bad reviews removed. Beware! Yelp contacted me and said just the facts of what happened and this is what I have posted. It was a lot worse than what you read here. read more
