Hubs and I went with our daughter and her wife to Oxnard Mitsubishi hoping to help them lease a new Outlander hybrid. We were promptly greeted by James, a kind man who wasn't pushy at all. He showed us the options and allowed us to choose the pace and decide which way to move forward. Once a car had been decided on, he ran the numbers and of course the monthly payments weren't acceptable at first, but after some easy and low key negotiations they all agreed on all terms and went to sign the papers with Ramon, also a kind and helpful man. He explained that several employees were out sick, and to please be patient. No problem. And that being said, we were in/out in less than 3 hours! We have purchased and/or leased a couple dozen cars and must say this was the easiest, low pressure, friendly process we've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. My daughter and daughter-in-law leased the most beautiful Outlander on the lot, all the bells and whistles included. Kudos to James and Ramon for never pressuring us, and making us feel like they really wanted to help us make a deal. Update: 7k later, after purchasing a Rebuilt 3.8L V6 from Frasier. I highly recommend their builds. Quality material and professional staff. Along with them is Gibson's Garage, top notch honest service and though they are a small business, they are among the best there is. As for Oxnard Mitsubishi, The vehicle I bought was said to belong to one of the managers wives. I find it quite impossible that there wasn't prior knowledge that the bottom end had been into and crankshaft bearings were replaced. The gaskets/ material was not a match either. Upon inspection it was revealed there were 3 different sized bearings used putting it back together. It was a only a matter of time until the bearings would fail. Dealership of course denied any knowledge of it. Reported to the B.A.R. Dealership not interested in hearing about it at any level. Decided to do an update and let it be known once again for buyers. Be sure at the time of sale they actually do the DMV paperwork of ownership. Not only on the car you are buying but definitely if you are trading in. I traded in a car over 2 months ago and as of today I have received not one but tollroads tickets. I was told by a worker that they will send me the proof of who they sold it to. Wow so not only did you not do it right the first time but now you sold it again and did no DMV paperwork on it. So unprofessional and a bit shady if you ask me. Good luck with this dealership. Here's my honest review. So I spoke to the salesman struck a deal via phone, everything seemed great. Went there today and the salesman was one of those old school cat oil merchant. Be careful shopping here. They ignored the agreed upon deal even though I literally have it via text. When shopping for the electric bmw they have, it says 110 total miles range on their website. When I test drive it I noticed differently on the screen. When asked the salesman an older out of shape gentlemen suffering from sleep apnea quickly changes the screen from the center council. After requesting him to put it back after he acted like he didn't speak English m, he returned to the previous screen which indicated the car was only capable of 80 miles. I bought a used 2019 outlander phev off carvana and was told it needed a new auxiliary battery. Made an appointment and brought it in. I was there about 45 minutes early, and they got me started right away. They ran a test first, and my battery passed with everything. They checked to make sure it wasn't close to expiring. Closed up my outlander, and all done. I just had to pay for the diagnostic, which was not that bad. I also needed an EV charging cable as the car i bought didn't come with one. This was a little more complicated, as it was covered by the carvana defect warranty, so the parts guy had to call into them for payment. He was able to get everything resolved with them and the payment approved, and EV charging cable ordered. All i have to do is go back and pick it up. Overall, all of the staff i interacted with were very polite and courteous. Their mechanic even made sure to ask if i wanted a coffee or anything. I would highly recommend them. read more

Whoo bud. I sure so hate having to make this but I cannot express this enough: BUYER BEWARE. This is my first time going to a car dealership like this and I knew I should expect them to try to take advantage of me but I guess at 36 years old I'm not as good at spotting grifters as I thought. I went down from Lompoc to the dealership because they showed the Mirage I wanted was available, but when I got there they said it wasn't ready and I bought a different one that was just slightly worse. A little older, a bit more mileage. At a glance it seemed alright, but of course that wasn't the case and I should have looked a bit more closely. I paid for the car through bank financing and they delivered it the next day. When it was delivered one of the blinkers on the side had popped off and the front bumper had come loose. They guy who delivered it said they would be contacting me about fixing it as the vehicle didn't look like that when I bought it. Of course no one has, but now I wave worse problems to deal with. I took it down to have everything checked and when they scanned my tires they let me know that 3 out of 4 had to be replaced. My fault that I didn't check the tread depth but I think it's a bad business practice to sell a vehicle on tires that aren't safe to drive. I've recently been getting letters from my bank as it's almost been ninety days and they still haven't received the title. It's been almost ninety days and they haven't bothered to send it. Now my bank is going to raise my interest rate to 20% because this dealership has dropped the ball. I've been calling for the past two weeks and they keep telling me the person in charge of that "isn't in" and will "get back" to me. Which of course hasn't happened. I called today and whoever picked up the phone refused to let me talk to a supervisor, told me there isn't anything they could do, and once again that they will get back to me. Of course I expect nothing. First time in years having to contact the BBB but I've been left with absolutely no choice. TL:DR- this dealership is the stereotypical group of criminals you would expect. Bait and switch, vehicle showed up damaged, refuses to send the title to the dmv, and they just brush you off when you try to get them to help. They have my money so they're done with me. read more

I bought a truck here had problems since day 2, they haven't been able to fix it after 3 tries, refuse to refund me, and loaned me a car with exactly the same issue and said we can't sell it like this so we're able to loan it to you, on top of that I was promised the new tags were part of the price but I still received the bill and a check that doesn't even cover half. Oh yeah and we're waiting on a part that's not supposed to be here till about the time my warranty expires. I don't have money for another car to take me to work. Literally NO ONE even spoke to me about purchasing/leasing/financing another vehicle. There was not a single word mentioned to me about buying a car during the span of an hour. And I asked. Afterwards, when I was on the curb calling an Uber to leave, a salesperson ran up to me and asked me how I planned on getting home. I said Uber. I bought a car elsewhere a few days later and I love it. My credit score is 800+ and my leased vehicle was returned with all payments made on time and in mint condition. I'm still puzzled as to why this dealership overlooked a customer with a strong credit history and a cash down payment. UPDATE: These scam artists finally came out to "apparently" fix my trailer. Twenty minutes after they left. My A/C dumped water all inside my trailer AGAIN! I've now been without A/C in my trailer for almost a week. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. I filed a claim with the BBB. In retaliation, either the GM or the technicians called animal control services and claimed my dog attacked them. My dog was on a leash and jumped on them because he's still a puppy and has no manners. That's the way it went down! The incident created a big spectacle and many people gathered around to watch, as the animal control officer interviewed me. My children were terrified that the officer was going to take away our family dog. THIS IS HOW THESE THUGS OPERATE. I will not stand for their bullying tactics. Game on! read more

I bought parts and the " part manager " told me I could return them any day without no problem and no charge. He also is trying to lie and say that they lease their body shop to someone else. Yet it says Oxnard Mitsubishi on the wall. They are crooks. I don't recommend anyone buying a car, getting service or body work there. They apparently have a new staff since their last set of staff was a bunch of crooks. And this was told to me by the new manager. I think it is shameful that the owner would have someone that didn't work there at the time and had no knowledge apparently handling this matter. This is the second bad experience I've had with Oxnard Mitsubishi. The first event was when I waited 2+ hours for an oil change to be done on my car when I had an appointment and there was absolutely no other customer present. I was the last appointment of the day and the young man who was supposed to be helping me avoided me each time I tried to ask when my car would be done. I finally got my car and although they give a free car wash, it was barely clean and wasn't even dried and it felt as if he was rushing me so he could get off of work since I was the last customer. I didn't wish to return after the first experience, but since I am looking to sell my car I wanted to make sure that everything in my car is looking good. I called to make an appointment and explained the first bad experience and how hesitant I was on coming back. The man I spoke with seemed to be understanding. I told him all I needed was a new battery for my key (which only takes a minute) and for them to look at my car and make sure brakes, belts, etc. are looking good. When I showed up I noticed a couple of the workers were NOT wearing masks, so I went to the man I spoke with over the phone and told him that whoever is driving my or other people's cars should be wearing one. He quickly told me that the man not wearing one worked on used cars and not to worry. When my car arrived, the man behind the wheel was NOT wearing a mask. I want other customers to know this is unacceptable! I went to pay and the woman behind the counter told me they were charging me for an oil change (which I did not order). Worst car buying experience ever and I am only a friend. Rude, Disorganized, Unapologetic. We drove 1 1/2 hour for a listed used all electric Fiat. She told them when she would be there but still waited over 3 hours before being helped. Ready to leave and discovered car not fully charged and charging cable MIA. Finally found cable that would work but not the correct one. There a total of 5 hours. WTF! We had planned on driving part way home stopping to recharge over dinner and then driving the rest of the way. Since car was only 60% charged when we left we couldn't dive as far as planned, finally ended up calling AA to get it the rest of the way. Also discovered head light out and windows illegally tinted. They did finally bring her the correct charging cable 3 days later. read more

Where can I even begin with this place.... I bought a used 2014 Fiat from them about 3 months ago now from a man who admitted didn't usually handle car sales (first red flag). It seemed to go smoothly, and overall I was just starstruck at buying my first car. Well, some days go buy and its immediately obvious the car had some issues. The AC was not blowing cold air, the windshield was chipped in two places, the car charger port was disconnected and didnt work, the window control panel on the drivers side was also disconnected (still worked but the whole unit was able to be pulled out of the door), both sun visors were haphazardly placed in their designated spots and literally fell on me AS I WAS DRIVING, and the cherry on top, the transmission of the car is MESSED up. I know for a fact they were aware of the AC and the windshield but I was not made aware of any of this before purchasing the car. I was under the impression it was in perfect working conditions. Thank GOD I got a warranty, otherwise I would have already spent hundreds if not thousands getting it fixed with the amount of times I've had to bring it in to be serviced. Multiple times for the AC (it breaks every time they "fix" it), once for the windshield, a few times for the transmission, probably 6 or 7 times on total. Keeping in mind I live in the valley and this is not a convenient drive whatsoever. The service department is ridiculously hard to reach and they never listen to voicemails, and the service department manager is an idiot who doesn't know how to do his job. The transmission has finally given up on me and after calling TEN TIMES I finally got ahold of them and they told me they wouldn't be able to get me into their garage until the next month, even when I told them it was an emergency. Not to mention the service manager literally accused me of not knowing how to turn my own car on after I told him it was not starting. At this point, I want nothing to do with this borderline lemon they sold me or these CRIMINALS. Do yourself a favor and NEVER COME HERE. read more

I live next to this location and I just want to express the lack of concern they have for their neighboring community. Mitsubishi has a parking lot where they have recreation vehicles, in this parking area there is a homeless man living in one of the vehicles. I called Mitsubishi to let them know that this man is urinating in front of kids and that he has made a mess in one of their vehicles. They said they would take care of it but a month later and this man is still there. My neighbors and I have called Mitsubishi many times explaining the concern for our neighborhood children but it has not been taken seriously. read more

My husband and I bought an Outlander PHEV in 2018 from Oxnard Mitsubishi. We loved the car and the service was great. Yesterday, (New Year's Eve) we went back there to look at the 2023 Outlander PHEV. The same salesman that sold us our first PHEV in 2018 was still there and took care of us again. We knew they had a new PHEV available because Larry, a manager there, contacted us since we had spoken to him previously and had expressed an interest in buying one of the 2023 PHEVs when they came in. Again, we received stellar customer service from everyone, especially Larry and James. Larry gave us a fair offer for our 2019 PHEV which he said was in great condition. We needed to buy the car that day so we could get the tax credit on our 2022 tax return. They were supposed to close at 1 pm but everyone necessary to close our deal stayed even though it was past their intended closing time. We were so appreciative and we love our new car. We drive from Westlake Village all the way to Oxnard to get our car serviced because their service department is great also. No hassle or pressure to buy. Just stellar customer service. Tito and Victor were incredibly helpful with my 2004 Mitsubishi Diamante! We all thought it was an issue with the valve cover gaskets that they had fixed back in September but it ended up being a hose clamp that was not visible until they took off the intake! Tito noticed this and gave me a good price on the part that he had ordered and installed the next day, during this time I was given a loaner car for two days that he absorbed into the price of the repair! Both Tito and Victor kept in good contact with me during the whole process of getting the parts ordered which takes some time. It seems all the bad reviews were from previous employer's that did not live up the the expectations a dealership is known for.
