We were seeking bids from various contractors to do the job and that's when we met Virgil. He was professional, yet-easy going, and made us feel relaxed and comfortable with the process. Where other contractors were more of a salesperson, Virgil's help and ideas made you feel like he truly cared about the project whether we used Urbane or not. He presented ideas and made suggestions that we, or other contractors, had not thought of and his prices were very reasonable! The installers did a great job, and did not muck about! They got down to business and paid attention to details. Their cuts were precise, nothing wasted and they completed the project in 2 1/2 days. Virgil had solid leadership with the crew and great communication with us throughout the project. He came by to check on the finished project and sent the crew back for some minor touch-up details. The payment process was easy with digital invoices and we couldn't be happier! If you are seeking a company to complete your project that is trustworthy, customer satisfaction and quality-of-work focused, professional and reasonably priced, look no further!

We've used three different tile/granite co's in the past and were very disappointed with demo, tile work and poor cleanup, and housekeeping. We immediately liked Moudy and read reviews on Google and Yelp. It was quick for scheduling maybe a week or so lead time. We were only going to do one bathroom countertop at a time, but Moudy pointed out we would use and waste half a slab. The demo team was so gentle in dismantling our countertops. They papered off the cabinet facing and the mirror frame. They made a great effort to be clean and gentle, and always nice and tidy at the end of the dau. We've had some very rough demos in the past where they knocked giant holes in the drywall. The result was that we had to replace all the drywall where they removed tile. With Giza, we didn't have to repair any drywall. As it turns out, the demo team is the installer as well. They were such nice guys. They asked questions on my preferences for things such as caulking, etc. Very, very nice job. They even did the first sealing for me. I highly recommend Giza and will only call them for my future work.

Front start to finish, Mike Gast and Juan Navarro worked with me to translate my vision into the bright open studio I have been dreaming of... As the project manager, Mike Gast was extremely patient and accommodating, and provided lots of feedback to solve various issues. This was a large project that involved removing the garage door, retrofitting 3 sets of doors, framing and finishing for a custom look, inside and out. They even installed special thresholds so we could be assured of being able to roll equipment in and out of the space easily. After each stage of the job, the crew cleaned up the area and removed all debris. The price quoted us initially was in line with competitors, better than several, who failed to follow up with us. There was no cost-creep, and we finished at the price quoted us. Progress and payment was tracked on their online job project site, which was an added benefit and inspired confidence. I can highly recommend Mastercraft and hope to use them in the near future for several other home improvement projects. (A special thanks to the team, Victor and Tony for their cleanliness and work ethic).

READ THIS BEFORE HIRING THEM AND LOOK AT ATTACHED PHOTOS. IF…read moreI COULD GIVE THEM ZER0 STARS I WOULD. It starts from the top and rolls down hill. We hired KC Floors Feb. 19 to install flooring and baseboard in our 1,760 sqft home. It is now April 6th and all of the corrections are just being finalized. Where to begin... Dave, the sales guy, was a nice guy but measured the flooring wrong and a few days into the job the sub-contractor, MIGUEL & SONS, had to drive to L.A. to grab 300 sqft. MIGUEL & SONS are complete hacks. If KC Floors tries to send them to your house refuse entry. They had a crew of roughly five guys that were terrible. They broke the supports under our bed when moving it and did not tell us, they tried to repair baseboards with drywall mud and it had to be ripped out, they did not remove the underlayment and the floors were uneven in many of the rooms and they had to come back and remove two of the bedrooms and reinstall the flooring. When Miguel came back to do they repairs he was mad and uncooperative. When KC floors tried to send Miguel a third time I refused to let him in. He, and his company are not capable of completing the job the correct way. (see photos) The owner refused to take my calls and requested that all correspondence be via email. This was actually better because the information the office was providing me and the information the owner provided contradicted each other. The owner also was requesting final payment, which I refused because the job as of now has still not been completed. I could go on but at this point it's not worth it. If you are looking for a cheap price, bad work, terrible communication and a job that should be completed in 7 business days taking 2 months you are in the right place. Your search is over. Call them today! If you want a job done right pay the extra money and go somewhere else. Checkout the photos below and I would love to hear what you think! *** Walking the house with the painter right now I just found another area where the floors don't even make it to the baseboard! His workers tiled the fireplace wall. This year, I hired Jimmy to install cabinet trim and toekicks for an unfinished kitchen remodel. The previous contractor never got the job done. I had contacted other cabinet people and woodworkers to do this, and they either declined saying it was too small of a job, or they quoted me outrages prices--prices that I would expect to pay to install ALL the cabinets in the kitchen, not just the trim pieces. Jimmy came to the rescue and completed the work in a couple hours for a reasonable price. Some people turn down "small jobs" because they feel too important or that the jobs aren't worth their time. But not Jimmy. I appreciate that he showed up when he said he would and worked very efficiently. Of all the contractors I've worked with, Jimmy has been the most personable. He's professional yet friendly, and really kind-hearted!! A lot of the neighbors in my cul-de-sac have also hired him for various jobs and have great things to say about him.

Long story short, when we found out I was already 2 months pregnant in February of this year, we knew we had to get a jump start on the bathroom remodeling projects we so desperately needed to complete before baby's arrival. Through a series of unfortunate events, we were screwed over by TWO contractors. We found out one of them was completely fraudulent and operating under a license that was not even his. Then the second contractor backed out of our contract after he was offered a much higher paying / larger scale job that was going to pay wayyyy more than our smaller job would have... so he made up some BS in order to cancel our contractor and pull his workers from our job so he could put them on the bigger job... That contractor did that to us 3 WEEKS BEFORE I WAS SET TO GIVE BIRTH. and yes, he was aware... clearly no empathy, compassion or remorse. That brings us to the point where we met Jimmy and his company, Pacific Surface. After my husband scrambled to line up about 5 contractors to see who could possibly finish this impossible task in time, we ended up going with Jimmy for several reasons. He was up front and honest, his prices were extremely competitive, he was kind and sympathetic to our situation, and treated us like actual people and not just another job on his list he was trying to check off. We felt extremely confident with Jimmy and team, and honestly wished we had found him in the before trying those other two buffoons. He was able to start relatively quickly, with a time frame and plan in place to be done before baby was due so we would have at least a week or so to get the rest of our affairs in order before his arrival. Every step of the way, Jimmy was present, took the time to really understand our vision AND respected our choices. If there were suggestions for improvement along the way, he always filled us in so we could be sure the job was getting done right the first time (a lot of things we feel contractors these days couldn't care less about). He was available whenever we needed him. When a couple of issues arose throughout the process, he was there next day to address AND resolve to our complete satisfaction. Jimmy and team were All of the above, while remaining one of the nicest and most friendly and understanding group of people we have ever worked with in ANY field... let alone construction, as it's almost unheard of. Not saying there are not still good construction companies out there, but up until Jimmy and his team with Pacific Stone, we were not having any luck. We want to thank Jimmy and team from the bottom of our hearts for the outstanding work they did on our guest bathroom, and for always going the extra mile when needed. If we happen to need any additional projects done in the future, he will be our first point of contact. We'd even sit on a waiting list for him! Jimmy and team, thank you for putting up with our crazy situation and thank you for coming in to save our butts! We could not love our bathroom any more! (Guess that did end up being a little longer than I had anticipated HAHA) :)
