DO NOT RECOMMEND -- BILLING, SECURITY & CUSTOMER SERVICE NIGHTMARE…read more I have only had Xfinity Internet for two months since relocating to Upper Marlboro, and although it was cheaper than Verizon, it has been one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. On July 14, we received what appeared to be a legitimate Xfinity call to pay our bill. The caller had our information, and we even received an Xfinity verification text. We paid, received an email saying the bill was paid, and later discovered serious concerns that our payment and account information had been compromised. When I called Xfinity, I was told my account would be credited by July 20. Instead, I was charged another late fee. I called again on July 27 and was passed around to representatives who gave conflicting information, read scripts, and continued asking me to pay an incorrect balance instead of fixing the problem. Even my installation experience was terrible. The technician asked personal questions unrelated to the installation and made me so uncomfortable that I asked my husband to hurry home. Two months in, I've dealt with security concerns, incorrect billing, late fees, broken promises, and terrible customer service. I will be canceling as soon as Xfinity corrects and zeros out my account. I would not recommend Xfinity to anyone. The cheaper price is NOT worth the frustration.

Appalling service. We have no reliable internet which means that I cannot work. I have spent a…read moretotal of some 12 hours on the phone and negotiating with a visiting tech over the last 4 days and we are no nearer to resolving the problem. Customer service is a horror story - non-technical staff spend a long time bluffing their way around, repeating the same questions with no knowledge of or interest in previous attempts to fix the problem. A company with the slightest concern for their customers would have escalated this problem some time ago.

Sign me up for life! *** I don't know which is there main Yelp! Page so posting the same review here just in case*** The Details: Just another reason why I need to leave Manhattan... I hate my current internet and cable company-- Layer3 come to NYC please!! My brother had Layer3 installed one morning while I was visiting. I complained and expected the worst, but it was literally the easiest experience ever. This nice install rep (hi Chris!) came perfectly on time and did the entire setup for us in a few minutes - he was very pleasant and funny. I had no idea what this new cable was, so he spent time explaining and showing us a few pointers to make sure we understood the software. It's like a no contract, no fee, amazing cable company that has even higher quality imaging. Plus virtually unlimited DVR space (Hello binge watching!) Oh and it's less expensive than what I'm paying for UGHHHHH. The Damage: I believe the price is different depending where you are, so worth calling to see. I'll be signing up a soon as they come to Manhattan

The basic plan channels are excellent! everything for what I was paying extra with Direct TV here is on the basic plan. Absolutely love it!! Customer service is great, polite and knowledgeable. The people that comes to do the installation are very professional as well. I am saving $50 a month with layer 3. Don't hesitate, you can't go wrong with them.

They're also providing a return pre paid postage box for the current equipment. Hopefully this is on the up and up and only extended my contract by four months. I've used them for about ten years and have had it. They use every trick to sell. To keep my business this time they offered a free box. I agreed to two more years. The box will not handle their high definition channels but the crooks never mentioned it. They are also sneaky on their app. It works on mobile devices but NOT ON A SMART TV. THEIR COMPETITION HAS IT FOR SMART TV. After this contract I'm done with Verizon. They get one star because on rare occasion you get a tech on the phone that knows what they are doing. Customer Service sucks. I've had better service at fast food joints

It is hard to find a starting point on how bad the "Customer Service" and "Tech Support" really is…read more I've been using the Verizon FiOS Internet service (started at 1Gbps and now at 2.5Gbps) for over 4 years now. While it is working, it is great. But the minute something stops working, your phone service vanishes, you can't connect to the Internet to get your Customer Account Number. When I call in to get Customer Support, the AI asks me for my phone number. When I type it in and verify it is my number, the AI is unable to find my account. I have to wind up going through the menu to talk to a live person. The accent of most of the Tech Support people makes it hard to understand them. I have been around the world and I know some accents are harder to understand than others. 99% of the time, the "techs" you speak to sound like they are reading from a script. Especially the Tier I techs. When you have to go further up the chain, techs tend to work on your level. I try to advise whomever picks up my call that I am an IT Specialist and I prefer to have things explained to me as a fellow technical guru. Most of the time you get a Tier I tech, their goal is to get through as many calls as they can in a day. They have to stick to a Service Level Agreement that isn't very efficient, as they more often than not wind up having to get a more Senior tech on the call to troubleshoot further. Most Call Centers' Tier I staff have an SLA of at least 4 calls per hour, averaging between 32-40 calls a day. They don't get a whole lot of time to dig into a problem, as they need to worry about their time to move on to the next call. This is why they tend to work from a script. I know this from personal experience. When I was working at a Call Center, I averaged 125 calls per day at my prime. So I know the pressure. But when I have to go from call to call and reapeat what I stated to the previous person over and over, without the new person having notes available from the previous person at their fingertips. This is very inefficient. This is why I refuse to have Verizon as my mobile carrier. If there was another Fiber Optic provider in my area, I'd use them over Verizon. If I could give Verizon negative stars, I would. They always wind up leaving a really bad taste in my mouth.

HelloTech - The whole thing. Is bad.

BROKE MY TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…read more Olivier N ( AVOID HIM) came out to my apartment to mount my TV. He was able to place the mount onto the wall with no issue, however as he was about to mount the TV, it slipped from his hands and fell to the floor and shattered. We plugged the TV in and it no longer works because it's so damaged. There are glass shards everywhere and on top of that he caused damage to my apartment as well. There are pieces of TV lodged onto the wall that I can't get out. I had indicated on the form that I cannot help to lift the TV. I am not capable of lifting something this heavy. However you guys did not read the form and you sent only one person to do this job!! And clearly he wasn't able to do the job because the TV fell because apparently it was too heavy for him and my TV got damaged. My TV no longer works! This is so unacceptable, he didn't even apologize. He instead tried to blame it on me. I had told him that my TV was mounted at my last apartment for 5 years. This is 1,000% his fault. And HelloTech is taking FOREVER to refund the broken TV and damaged floors! AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!!
