The soup dumplings and fried shrimp udon were not only spectacular but the best I've ever had.

The soup dumplings here are out of this world. Food as a whole is excellent quality. Really like it here. Strongly recommend it.

Promptly and courteously seated for a six o'clock reservation, was very busy. Soup dumplings thin skinned freshly made and tasty. Could use a tad more soup but very savory. Stir fried cabbage was cooked nicely with good heat and sauced well.Moo Shoo pork was generously portioned and tasty. Looking around portions for all dishes looked the same. Liked the tablet menu. The order status showed as 'ordered,' but about 10 minutes later, the waitress informed us that she had just received our order and would only now be sending it to the kitchen. I was so hopeful walking in. Place is very clean and modern. You order on an iPad, which was great, but odd that you can't pay on it. Prices are very reasonable. The service was friendly but slow. So yummy one of the best chinese foods out there. i've been here a bunch of times and plan on coming here a bunch times more. They are many foods and dishes to choose from dumplings, to soup, and much more. This place is next to Home Depot and BMW and a mcdonald's but don't go to the mcdonald's come to DD Soup Dumplings. You can choose between hibachi and chinese dishes. There are much more goods things about this restaurant but this is all i'm going to say. This restaurant is much better than all the other chinese restaurants. The service there is on the next level. They are super quick and they are really nice. The ambiance is really clean and modern. I'm guessing the kitchen cooks also are the hibachi chefs. Both take a long wait time. Good wine selection and cocktails help to pass the time because you have to be patient, except for steamed dumplings which come quickly. read more

Great service, food was very good. Came here because we couldn't get a hibachi table at our normal spot. The restaurant staff and layout is very nice and comfortable. DD is a gem. Deeply flavorful, great wok hei, spicy where it needs to be. Some of the simplest sounding dishes are not to be missed, beef with scallions was among the best beef dishes I've had in a Chinese spot, stir fried cabbage was as close as you can get to a perfect dish with only a small handful of ingredients. Dry fried green beans with flecks of pork and Szechuan peppercorns, classic and excellent. Soup dumplings are freshly made and exceptionally tasty. Guessing once the word gets out this place will be packed. Will be back for sure, hard to find anything comparable outside of NYC or Flushing. read more

The people were very nice. No paper menus which is difficult for large parties as well as elderly who don't use electronics. Menu on website (we used so more then 1 person could look at a time) was different from in restaurant. Meals/apps come out as they were ready. This meant another person in my party had their meal came out a full hour before mine did. Also several meals came out cold. Appetizer came out last when we were almost done eating. Food taste was good, but don't ask for mustard or duck sauce. Portions were small. Wait staffs tablets beeped obnoxiously every few seconds in our ears loudly the whole time we were there. read more

The owner greeted us warmly, even though we had not been here before and treated us like favored regulars. He seemed to treat everyone in the place the same way. Having never eaten soup dumplings before, I was so happy to experience them here at DD Soup Dumpling. Richard gave my group of 14 a lesson on how to enjoy them and it worked! The service was perfect. All 14 of us got hot food, water fill ups and new utensils throughout the meal. This new restaurant has high ceilings, brick walls and a beautiful bar area. We had a blast at DD Soup Dumpling & Hibachi! We hadn't been there since they opened last month, and with a friend coming in from out of town we thought it would be a fun adventure. We were not disappointed! The ambiance was clean and comfortable modern style, which worked well IMO. We started with some appetizer dumplings (crab soup, and vegetable), and we did not realize that salad and miso soup came with our "Combo for 2" entree, so the food kept coming even before our hibachi chef came over. Once he got there, the fun began and the food was excellent - both watching Chef Toyoda perform his hibachi magic and the cooking parts! Fried rice and vegetables also came with the combo, which featured steak, chicken, scallops, shrimp, and lobster. We also ordered side orders to extend the combo to serve 3 for our friend, so sides of shrimp, scallops, chicken, and steak. What a great time we had! We will definitely be back. The food was ok nothing special, we thought we had a great hibachi chef, awesome show. My wife gave him a $20 tip because he did a great job. When we recieved the check for the meal. They were trying to charge another $25.00 tip on top of the meal. I told the waitress that we gave the chef the tip in cash. She started giving us a hard time, because the entire staff should be sharing the tip. This girl brought us a couple of drinks, the food was cooked by the chef and served us on our plates with the cooked food from the grill in front of us. My wife was going to have her holiday xmas party here in their upstairs party room, for a 100 of her employees. Roughly a $5000 meal / party. I for sure don't like a waitress dictating how we spend our tip money. We will never be back here again and for sure my wife is not having her hoilday xmas party here either. This location has gone through a few owners. I guess one more based on what we see. read more
