The thing about D&D is that you have to eat there. Don't do take out. The dumplings and food is great, as long as you dine-in. Also, don't go off book and order from their Chinese or other menu's. The other cuisines they attempt are mediocre at best. Their gold is in their dumplings. That's their wheelhouse. Stay in that lane.

I've been here twice and tried the dumplings both times! I also forgot to take a photo but I tried the scallion pancakes and they were delicious. They're not the best dumplings I've had, but they're decent and I have no complaints. The restaurant also has a hibachi menu if you prefer that over dumplings. I want to try the pan fried pork buns next time I come!! Service is friendly but they add automated gratuity even if you dine alone so just keep in mind so you don't accidentally add a second gratuity on top of the 20% they already add to the bill.

Excellent! Came here after 10pm after seeing a Broadway show. Was really cold and hungry. They had the greatest heater haha, and they were so kind and the service was quick! Restaurant smelled amazing too. I got takeout - pork soup dumplings and chicken udon. Very reasonably priced, especially for the location. Food tasted fresh and of high quality. Perfect firmness to the udon and the sauce was nice and gingery.

Overall it was a great find for hibachi and dumplings! The food was incredibly fresh and the restaurant itself was very clean and warm. Service was on point and very friendly.

The food here is overall solid and good. The soup dumpling was flavorful with a hint of sesame oil while the skin was thick and chewy. I personally prefer a dumpling skin that's a bit thinner but it still tasted fresh. The sliced beef pancake was okay. It wasn't anything special, just had a lot of sauce for a sweet taste and a very thin layer of beef. If it had more beef in it, the ratio of pancake to meat would have been a lot better.

This place is small, so we got a to go order of (D11) Shepherd's Purse Wonton soup, and (V1) Sautéed Baby Bok Choy w/ Garlic. Both were very tasty, and a good amount was given. Prices are reasonable. Packaging is good. Service was fast. No complaints!

Staffs were friendly. We had hibachi chicken, the chicken breast was a little dry but the veggies made up for it. There's a complimentary salad. You can watch the chef cook the hibachi around the table, we chose not to. The place was packed. When the had the check, it included the tip. Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambience: 4/5

I was cautiously optimistic and so glad we came here. SO good!! Fast service and loved the pork soup dumplings and the chicken lo mein.

Came for a quick meal before a show. . I got seated right away and ordered a saporo. It was served nice and cold. Craving a XLB so ordered the crab and pork XLB. and Onion pancakes. The XLB cane quickly and the pancakes a fee minutes later. the bars were really thin skinned. i love them that way. Only issue is one broke cuz it stuck on the paper. It was full of soup and a generous portion of the crab and pork. I got full on an order. They charge 3% more if you use a CC, and they also charge a tip for even one person sitting.

Always my go-to spot for dumplings! Reasonable prices, freshly made food, kind waitstaff, and right in the heart of the theater district(without the long waits and loud tourists!).

BEWARE 18% tip for parties 8 and below AUTOMATICALLY added to your bill!!! 20% for 8or more. Kind of crazy seeing as how service could be bad and still mandating people to pay. Beef Udon Noodles 5/5 Full of flavor and perfect softness. Best part of our meal Steamed pork dumplings 2/5 FULL of water. Almost like they were taken from freezer to be steamed. Way too much water came out of them when I popped them in my mouth. Chicken fried rice 3/5 Came out super dark, so right away I thought it was going to be salty. To my surprise, it wasn't, but actually lacked flavor. Chicken was tough. Service 2.5 of 5 They never once came to check on us. We had to flag them down whenever we needed something. I'm sure they don't care about service since they're gonna add tip to bill regardless. Don't like that practice at all. You should work for a tip and they definitely did not, In my opnion. Total was $75, tax was $6 and the gratuity was $11. Again, the service was sub par so don't expect great service when coming here. Food was mediocre. Service was bad, but don't worry you'll end up paying for it anyway!

We stopped for lunch. The soup dumplings were flavorful and fresh. The pork buns had a nice crispy bottom. The cocktails were also excellent. The service was quick

Delicious, fresh dumplings, served when ready. Had crab/pork soup dumplings, 6. Two were stuck to the bottom, so no soup :( Fresh veg dumplings too, but both sets of fillings were fine, on the bland side. Cooked well- not overdone. Really hard to flag anyone down to get anything needed, but it eventually arrived. I like this place! It's good/ok. Would love to try more food. They were out of the Asahi I ordered.

Got off the E train and when we looked for Chinese food, this place popped up with good reviews and it was just a short walk from where we got off the train. My buddies ordered the special lunches and we also got two types of xlb's, beef chow fun, and some fried dumplings. The special lunches come with a little fried rice, cold garlic flavored noodle, choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup, and main side. My buddies all enjoyed their meals. The beef chow fun was also really good and beef was nice and tender. The xiao long baos were excellent and is comparable to any place in California like DTF. Nice and juicy and great with some ginger, soy sauce, and spicy chili. Friendly service and food comes out pretty quickly. Credit card is accepted. Bathroom was also very clean, which is sometimes rare in some Chinese restaurants I have been to. If you're looking for a good Chinese meal, stop here when you're in the Chelsea area.

"How 'bout there?" he responded pointing to Excellent Dumpling House. It was directly across the street. I pulled up Yelp, saw good reviews and readily agreed. At 3:30, the restaurant was empty. There were a few takeout orders, but we were the only people sitting down for late lunch. And y'know ... it was pretty good. Wonton soup is what I'd expect in Chinatown. Wonton wrappers were thin -- my preference -- the stuffing delicious and the broth flavorful. They were generous with the beef in our chow fun. Good, but the noodles needed a jolt. So I asked for soy sauce which was sort of a solution. Shrimp with vegetables was great. A lot of shrimp, too. There are lunchtime specials on weekdays, reasonable prices, and nice people work there. Next time it makes sense to try dumplings since it is, after all a dumpling house.

Located within the historic Chelsea Market building--a former Nabisco factory where Oreo cookies were first produced--the restaurant feels theatrical in the best possible way. The soaring ceilings, dramatic lighting, and energetic atmosphere create a sense of occasion from the moment you walk in. It feels less like simply going out to dinner and more like stepping into a beautifully staged production. I started with a Botanist Gin Martini with a twist, which paired wonderfully with the meal. The surprise star of the evening was the new Cucumber Tiger Salad. The balance of flavors was exceptional: bright acidity, a pleasant touch of heat, and just enough mint to make each bite feel fresh and exciting. Every so often the mint would come through and suddenly all the flavors would click together in a way that made me immediately want another bite. This is a dish I would happily order again. Next came the Edamame Dumplings. They were delicate and comforting, especially when enjoyed with the accompanying broth. The broth adds depth and richness that elevates the entire dish. My only suggestion would be the slightest touch more salt, perhaps even a finishing sprinkle of black volcanic salt for both flavor and presentation. I also found myself wishing there were a bit more of that delicious broth because it contributes so much to the overall experience. For my entrée, I ordered the Glazed Alaskan Black Cod, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. The fish was rich, buttery, and perfectly prepared. What impressed me most was how thoughtfully the accompaniments were composed. The pickled cucumbers brought brightness, acidity, and crunch, while the black bean and eggplant relish delivered deep savory notes and unexpected complexity. I'm generally not an eggplant fan, but this relish was outstanding. The cucumbers and relish sit at opposite ends of the flavor spectrum, yet both somehow make the cod even better. Looking back, I think a glass of Sauvignon Blanc alongside the cod would have been the perfect pairing. I finished with the Miso Caramel Milk Bar, which was spectacular. Decadent, sweet, salty, and touched with just enough umami to keep every bite interesting. The chocolate crumble underneath added a wonderful crunch that contrasted beautifully with the creamy ice cream and luscious caramel sauce. Every component worked together perfectly, creating a dessert that was both indulgent and sophisticated. From start to finish, the meal felt polished, thoughtful, and memorable. Thank you!
