    Crab cake sandwich

This place is exactly what you expect. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has nice seating near the water, a great sunset view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You're not coming here for delicious and innovative. It's basic, pre-prepped beachside food that is similar to what you'd get at a theme park or something. Cocktails are ultra sweet, burgers are frozen patties, buns come untoasted, sauce comes in a plastic condiment container. Crab cake was really fishy. No fries, just a bag of potato chips. Kind of disappointing given the price you pay. It was fine, it wasn't great and was around $80 for one cocktail and two sandwiches after tip. The servers were nice and service was really fast though, which was great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also dog friendly so that was a huge plus![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Beautiful bayfront view

Beautiful location with even better drinks, [[HIGHLIGHT]]loved relaxing by the water and all the tiny attention to detail this place brings[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] that really makes it a must hit spot in OC.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Food, drinks, and service aren't anything great, but they're able to accommodate large groups and have "beach playgrounds" for both big and little kids, which is what drew us there![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Drinks were your typical beach drinks, and I had the fish tacos and chips. They were just okay and chips were too spicy to enjoy. We also ordered a kids meal to come out before our meals, and it was never brought out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The best thing about De Lazy Lizard is the ability to sit at your table while you watch your kids play on the playground.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For that reason alone, we'd come back next time we're in town! It's also nice that you can make reservations online, and they could easily seat our group of 30ish, split between a few picnic tables.

Dockside Bar Turned Tourist Trap - End of an Era Don't believe the 5-star ratings that are likely paid for by some third-party advertising agency. As OC locals, we were unpleasantly surprised during our recent visit to De Lazy Lizard. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What used to be one of Ocean City's best dockside atmospheres with genuinely good food has turned into a total tourist trap after being bought out by another local restaurant chain.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] De Lazy Lizard used to serve a variety of good appetizers, light fare, and drinks, albeit at somewhat high prices. The seafood nachos were amazing...but they are no longer on the menu, vanished with many other favorites. Instead, they have been replaced with a new slimmed-down menu featuring typical and tired bar food designed to maximize profits, not customer satisfaction. It gets worse. You cannot change or alter ANYTHING on the menu. My son tried to order the JuJu Burger but asked to hold the mango salsa. Nope - that is an unallowable "menu item change" and required him to build a "custom burger" at a higher price...just to eliminate a topping he didn't want. I tried to order a bacon cheeseburger with fries...no again. If you want fries with an adult meal, you have to order a whole basket of them separately. Instead, my burger was supposed to come with gourmet "chips made fresh in the restaurant." However, when it showed up, the chips were bagged, and the burger patty was tiny and overcooked. It looked like a frozen ¼ pound patty that would be served at a school cafeteria. No burgers are cooked to temp, they all come like this. The rest of my family's food was equally disappointing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We also had to sit at separate tables. We were a party of 10 and were seated at two separate tables, each with its own server, as each physical table has its own assigned check that cannot be changed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Want to combine tables to suit a larger party - not happening. Want to split your check between families, not happening. It doesn't sound like a big deal except that half our party's food came out 10 minutes before the rest. They had finished eating before our meals arrived at the table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Long story short, what used to be an excellent dockside bar with great food and fun atmosphere has been bought out and turned into a typical tourist trap trying to squeeze every penny of profit from your wallet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We usually stop by here to kill some time before heading out on the Sea Rocket boat ride. The view of the bay and the Harry W. Kelley Memorial Bridge is always a highlight. Seating is great--especially if you're lucky enough to snag a spot near the water dock. Watching all the boats go by adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The food was decent--not amazing, but definitely not bad. We tried the Crab Cake Sandwich with fries and the Chicken Sandwich with cheese and bacon. Both were satisfying. The drinks were solid, and we even kept the cups and shot glasses as souvenirs, which was a fun touch. Staff was friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall experience. A great place to unwind and enjoy the view!

No crab in crap soup at all or in the crab dip everything seems artificial and fake. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Scenery is nice but food sucks![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Waterfront view at De Lazy Lizard

Our server was very nice, [[HIGHLIGHT]]it was hot outside but the view and seating were lovely.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had refreshing misters that were blowing mist in our food a bit as the wind picked up, but it was not too big of deal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was a photographer lady who was trying to take pictures of every couple and trying to sell them which was a bit awkward.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got the Old Bay fries, a cheeseburger and chicken tenders and it was overall a decent meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seemed like a good family friendly place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They also seemed to have very cheap drinks that looked good, frozen strawberry daiquiri caught my eye, but i was driving unfortunately.

The food was tasty, but the portions were small and the prices were quite high. The service, however, was excellent.

I usually can only tolerate Buxy's for one drink and have to leave because of the sensory overload. The sensory overload is a combination of the loud background noise, bright lights, and intense visual stimuli. (Including pics) LOL My friend and I went B4 the OC parade , and b4 the " after parade party" started with the live band , and it was relatively laid back. We shared the " corned beef Primanti " on sour dough , which was surprisingly good. The menu did say it was thick cut brisket , the more tender corned beef is the "point cut" . The meat was a bit tough and chewy so I cut it up into small pieces and it was much better. I removed the fries so the bread didn't get soggy , and kept the coleslaw and we both agreed this was a really good sandwich. I definitely want to come back again and try more of "Burgh food " items like the pierogis, Pittsburgh salad, and kielbasa but in the OFF peak hours .

We started with a tasting board and chose three cheeses and three meats. It comes with a ton of additional accoutrements. It's a little expensive but worth it to try some fantastic cheese. I had the Cacio e pepe with scallops that was on special. I didn't love the pasta, the sauce was bland despite the peppery flavor but the scallops were well cooked and definitely the best part of the dish. For dessert we did a giant doughnut ice cream sandwich which was the star of the show. Paired with an espresso martini and I was extremely happy to finish off dinner! It's a refreshing change from the typical boardwalk dining experience. The food was outstanding. We especially enjoyed the perfectly seared scallops, rich and flavorful oysters Rockefeller, and a well-prepared steak that was cooked exactly as ordered. The cocktail program was equally impressive, both the martini and Old Fashioned were expertly crafted. As a bourbon and whiskey enthusiast, I particularly appreciated the extensive selection available here. It was nice to find quality whiskey options beyond the sweet, fruity summer cocktails that dominate many Ocean City menus. The service was attentive, the atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, and the overall experience was excellent. Definitely a place we'll return to on future trips.
