First time here - and in OC - visiting from New Jersey. Very cool outdoor area where you have a good view from the bay (sunset view was on the spot when we arrived). They were busy and kinda packed so we decided to take a high top (family of 4 with 2 kids) where they warned us we needed to get everything ourselves from the bar (drinks and food, which is very weird if you tell me). Drinks were good and strong enough, we ordered two strawberry cocktails with tequila, they tasted almost alike. For food we shared everything. Crab cakes were good but not great. Fried calamari were very good and perfectly cooked. The sauce they brought in with it was good too. Seafood pasta with creamy sauce was good but sauce was a little too watery, good flavor though. Crab dip with the pretzels was amazing, probably the favorite on the table. Check wasn't too bad but service needed a little upgrade, specially when the costumer is doing half the job. We chose this restaurant because we wanted to enjoy dinner outside by the water, and it ended up being a great experience from start to finish. We were greeted by friendly hosts when we arrived and were seated right away at a table right by the water, which made for a perfect setting. It was really pretty eating right by the water, and some of the tables even had sand at your feet, which really added to the beachy atmosphere. Our server, Murphy, came over almost immediately with waters for the table, took our drink order, and even offered suggestions for bar drinks, which I really appreciated. When it was time to order, he was patient, helpful, and attentive. Three out of four of us ordered the all-you-can-eat crabs, and I thought it was especially thoughtful that Murphy asked how we wanted the next round of crabs brought out. The food came out pretty quickly, the portions were generous, and while the crabs themselves weren't huge, they were hot and well seasoned. Murphy was excellent throughout the meal. He stayed on top of drink refills, crab refills, refreshing our shell bucket, and bringing extra napkins without us having to ask. He truly provided outstanding service. I came here on a Saturday night with an online reservation for two. When we made the reservation online, we were able to choose where we wanted to sit (inside, outside, 2nd floor outside facing the water, etc.). The place was popping with live music in the 1st floor outside patio area. We ordered the crab & corn chowder and the mixed steamer pot which came with 3 small-medium sized blue crabs, 2 clusters of snow crab legs, shrimp, mussels, clams, sausages, potatoes, and corn on the cob). The crabs and snow crab legs were pretty meaty and well seasoned. The meat in the snow crab legs were easy to remove, sweet & juicy. The shrimp was on the smaller size. Otherwise, the rest of the steamer pot was unseasoned for some reason. Not sure why they don't just season the whole steamer pot. Our server Lindsey was friendly and very attentive even though it was very crowded during peak dinner time. Overall, I would come back mostly for the snow crab legs and blue crabs, but would skip the shrimp/mussels/clams. read more

We have been going to this restaurant every single year that we come to Ocean City and it never disappoints. This year we were down with extended family and raves about how great it was. I unfortunately it did not even come close to our usual expectations. Service was terrible, the drinks were awful and they were out of thing that the server didn't tell us about until after we order and they came back to tell us like 15 minutes later. We were never told they were out of lobster until we actually orders so 3 people at the table had to try and go fire what else we wanted. We ordered a bottle of wine to share and they came with a completely different bottle 15 minutes later and said they were out of the one we ordered. Ordered a Bloody Mary bucket and sent it back because it was so watered down and looked pink instead of red. Ordered 3 shark attacks that were just purple soda with a gummy shark. When I expressed being upset about everything the servers response was "I have absolutely no control over that". However she should know they are out of lobster before they left us with menus and then came back to take our order. We had a large party and I'm actually embarrassed I recommended Blu. My friends and I decided we wanted a cute restaurant and their parents recommend Blu Crabhouse. The ambiance was cute and we were directed to the other end of the restaurant to be seated on the rooftop by the water. It was beautiful especially watching the sunset. It was busy and our server did the best she could to be attentive during that time. We didn't have and utensils on our table. We started off with a salad and crab dip. The crab dip came with a warm soft pretzel and some hard crackers. The pretzel was delicious and we enjoyed that. We also ordered wine and a pitcher of sangria for the table. The entrees were 2 crab cake sandwiches with mashed potatoes and pasta. Everyone loved their meal, but the pasta was absolutely delicious!! We sat at the upstairs bar. Our friendly server was Izzy S. We ordered drinks & looked over the menu. I started off with their oyster shooter - large raw oyster served w/ Old Bay rimmed short Bloody Mary w/ a 2oz vodka shooter($10). Bang! this is way to start our 19th honeymoon. My bride had chicken Caesar salad ($18) and I had the smoked fish appetizer w/ nacho chips as a meal ($14.) Very happy with our food. We had 2 beers & 2 wines. Okay , my friends and I gave it another shot yesterday. We sat outside at the bar For happy hour , we used to frequent the place. The bartender totally ignored us for a while.He was talkiing To a couple seated next to us didn't even acknowledge our presence.He finally came down to get a drink order. Me separate from my 2 friends had to walk away to the other end of the bar spent 10 minutes there then came back and served the couple at the end, 2 more shots, he had no problems serving them shots several times while we were there and waited on another person before he finally gave me my bill, which was wrong after I told him twice. So simple, I decided to just pay cash and pay my friend.The money that was put on his bill rather than wait for him to take a credit card. He was a lousy bartender. The only\nThing that was good.For the wings that my friend had the rest.Forget it. The view was good as always. We literally didn't even want to eat the corn and we didn't finish the pots of seafood some of the crab don't seem that fresh, don't flake, and their sauces is so bad. So disappointing. Came here with a party of 4 and sat inside. 15 minutes later, still hadn't seen our server. When she finally came over, there was no acknowledgement of the wait. We ordered drinks and then waited. And waited some more. 20 more minutes and she comes back to let us know that one of the margaritas we ordered was not available. Still no drinks for any of us, not even water. We ended up asking for our check (once she finally brought over sodas we ordered) and left. Our waitress was good, of course trying to up our bill for a larger tip. The salmon stuffed with crabmeat wasn't truly stuffed, primarily on top, but the salmon had a funky taste to it. I honestly just made sure to take crab in the same bite as I didn't want to complain in front of our family. The worst part was our waitress DIDN'T even let us know the tip was included (there were 4 adults and 2 toddlers). We looked and under the total was (suggested 20% gratuity), then below that was the tax and below that was the total bill which INCLUDED the tip. The tip wasn't even circled so we could have easily added more for the tip...which I am SURE others did without knowing. The bill was not cheap, as was expected, but come on!!! Been coming here for a couple of years now whenever I'm in Ocean City and so far I've had the Old Bay Chicken Wings they were crispy and tasty. The Loaded Fries were good and large enough for two people. The Pork Tacos weren't bad but I probably should've ordered the Shrimp Tacos I only didn't because I also had the Boom Boom Shrimp which were my favorite. We didn't account for time and came 45 minutes before closing. We started off with 4 crabs each (which took an hour) and at 9:15pm the server asked if we want another round. Ofc we said yes, and I asked her what time they close. And she said 9:15, but she can't stop serving until the patrons leave. There were still about 5 tables left in the restaurant. So we put in another round of crabs and they brought out 10 crabs to share between 2 people. They give you a bucket for your waste and a roll of paper towels. We went to town with the crabs. We came for an evening dinner with one teen and one kiddo. Sat on the upper terrace which was lovely with a view of the water and sunset. Be warned it's def hot in summer (duh) bc they don't have umbrellas up there. Not enough to deter us. Ordered crab dip, seafood pasta, kids crab legs and crab cake. Food came out relatively quick. However a mix up in the kitchen delayed our app and the manager was QUICK to deliver it, apologize, and take it off the ticket which was generous. Seafood pasta was delicious, full of fresh huge scallops and shrimp with a delicious warm spiced cream sauce. Love love love it. Crab cake was big, more crab than breading. Could have used a touch more on the cook but delicious flavor profile. Crab claws were cooked correctly and the kids meal was a perfect size for the kiddo. And I love raw seafood with no seasoning, but the pasta meal I got had scallops, shrimp and crap meat and it tasted old and like they only used thyme to season everything and only thyme. We were seated almost right away on a Friday night, which was awesome. Our food came out very quick, which was also awesome. However the crabs and crab legs were cold. We had the all you can eat meals--the second helping of crab legs arrived hot, but about 15 mins after I asked for them. The crabs were even longer, maybe 25 mins. Our waitress was amazing, the sunset view was spectacular. Visiting on a Monday, in my opinion, they close at 930 is early for a dinner spot. We got there at 730 and were seated close to 8. Honestly, the only thing that kept us from walking out was our amazing server, Brian--give that man a raise and a less chaotic kitchen. The crab boil showed up bone-dry (who steals the liquid from a crab boil?!), and the fried rockfish sandwich started strong... but ended in a sprint to the nearest restroom. Decided to come here while in town for the weekend. It was super packed and pouring down raining outside. There was a long wait but luckily we were able to grab 2 seats at the bar. My boyfriend got the fried green tomato appetizers & I got the calamari which is my favorite!! The tomatoes came with scallops and bacon on top which was super yummy!! The calamari was super tender and not chewy like lots of places. They also were seasoned very well, didn't even need any sauce but if it came with the boom boom sauce that would make it even more delicious lol. We split this spicy seafood pasta which was really good too. Super fresh seafood, definitely recommend this place!! read more
