Based on yelp reviews we opted for breakfast at De Lunas. I cannot tell you how pleased we were. My husband had a more traditional breakfast (eggs, corned beef hash, bacon) and I opted for the chorizo (bacon, egg and cheese) sandwich with a dash of mayo. The food was marvelous, service was prompt and served hot. Seating outside if weather permitting. Love local out of the way places (i.e. no crowds or touristy). Portion sizes are generous (enough to share for small appetites). I've been told that the key to success (food service industry) is to keep it simple and do it well. I got breakfast delivered. De Luna's breakfast FAR exceeded the pricier breakfast served at the hotel I'm staying at. Potatoes needed salt, but the flavor on them was wonderful. Delivery was quick and they even called me when the driver left their restaurant so I wouldn't have to wait at the lobby for long. I'll eat there again! read more

I was super impressed I'm so glad I stumbled upon this place. We were driving along and there it was right next to Boyd's Campground. It is a food truck that has authentic Cuban coffee pastries and cuisine. The prices are ridiculously Fair. We got to large Cafe Con Leche and to pastries that were absolutely delicious homemade pastries. We wanted to try the empanadas but unfortunately she was out due to high demand earlier. I can only imagine how delicious they must be. I'm so glad that I went here I almost drove into Key West to go to another place. I will definitely be a return customer. A wonderful hole in the wall! My family decided to come here for brunch after reading the reviews and WOW! I ordered the empanada and diced potatoes both were AMAZING!!! I gave everyone a bite of the empanada and they all kept asking for another bite and insisted I order another one to share. The seasoned potatoes were also really good, very different than potatoes I've had in the past. My sisters both got the Cuban mix and asked for ranch instead of mustard... They said that everything tasted really fresh and that the lettuce was nice and crisp. The sandwiches were also huge! Much bigger than we thought it was going to be. Food prices in Key West are higher then expected. I only had a breakfast sandwich. They don't serve coffee. The espresso has loaded with sugar.
