This small restaurant is a part of the recent remodel inside of Tulsa International Airport. This is a cool new spot to chill out, have a drink while waiting on your flight. I like having local options available when I travel. I am local to Tulsa so if rather pop in and support this business when possible. The food is pretty good overall. The two times I've been in I enjoyed a sandwich. The food comes out quick and is yummy. It's nothing fancy but gets the job done and to me is way better than a prewrapped meal. If you are at an airport you can't expect cheap food and drink, and here is not different. The draft beer is very good and cost 8.5 usd for 16oz. The food is ok, not bad at all. My favorite place in Tulsa Airport to wait my flight and eat something. read more

In the context of the Tulsa "International" Airport, this place is a good find. I would even call it my "go to". It is not however representative of the real Dead Armadillo, but what airport restaurant ever is. Don't come here expecting any hand holding either as none of the employees ever seem to know anything about beer (once they didn't even know the style of beer, only its name and that it was "light"). All that is to say - There are some solid beers here to help kill all that time you got back clearing security in under 2 minutes, just do your own research before approaching the bar. read more

This vegan walked into the dead armadillo tarman tap room looking forward to their hummus platter. Sulicia, who was very professional, prompt, thorough, informed me that they were out of the hummus. We concluded together a plan to go with a veggie pizza with no cheese. It was great! When I admitted her to double check that there was no butter she already knew the answer. They have no buyer in the kitchen. The Tulsa flag and ipa beers helped with my good experience. The only thing to consider is that the wax paper tore easily when I had to use a knife on the pizza which was soft at times allowing ingredients to fall off. read more

It took 20 mins after we sat down at a table and finally we got tired of waiting and we went up to a bar to order food. 30 mins later food shows up and it's cold. First of the young guy was left alone on labor day and all he did was complain all loud of how unhappy he was. For the small Tulsa airport, there only seem to be a couple of places to sit down and get a beer or food before your flight. The busier one is close to the TSA check in area. This one, however, it closer to the Delta gates and was less crowded. The bartender was friendly and attentive. I had the Dead Armadillos IPA which was an "OK" local brew. They had several others. They feature burgers, salads, appetizers and sandwiches. They were a bit more reasonably priced than other larger airports. read more

Stopped here before our flight just as they opened (0600). Places our order and didn't get it until about 20 mins later. I think there was only one person working. The food came out and with as long as it took, you would think it was gourmet. But that was not the case. The sandwich looked and tasted like one of those sandwiches you buy in the frozen isle of the store and nuke it at home. The potatoes were unseasoned and you could tell they were microwaved as well. I didn't finish them. The wrap wasn't bad, but nothing special. Sitting here I wished I would have went next door and got a bagel and coffee there. Attention travelers: Craft beer flights at the airport! Not only are they pretty in presentation but crazy delicious and distinct. I enjoyed the IPA, pale ale, amber and hoppy one and couldn't have enjoyed it more after a busy day before traveling. Our server, Megan was swift to bring us everything and knew all the answers to our questions. Food is not very adventurous and probably skippable for me next time. First let me say that I understand that I was at the airport, and my expectations were set accordingly when I sat down to eat. That said, what I was served was so bad that I resurrected this 7 year old Yelp account just to write a review. I ordered the southwest chicken salad... which consisted of a bowl of iceberg lettuce, 7 black beans, a smattering of carrot shavings that didn't smell washed, an very light dusting of shredded cheese that tasted like plastic, two stale tortilla chips, and some cubed chicken (at least I think it was supposed to be chicken...) with a side of chipotle ranch that actually wasn't too bad. This is probably one of the top five worst meals I've ever eaten. It seamed as though each ingredient was hand selected based on the lowest acquisition cost. I would have rather paid $12 to get punched in the face and served an average salad. I rate this place 0 stars, but it gets 1 by default because that's the lowest possible rating on Yelp. Do yourself a favor, take a little pride in your food like you do beer. Use real, fresh eggs and real ham. The eggs are some boiled premixed substance that resemble a hockey puck and the ham is cheap, thin sliced deli ham. Once Chili's opens it will run this place out of business if they don't step it up multiple notches. read more
