They have sangria - white and red. After enjoying out cocktails for awhile, (port only bar open) we asked the bartender what they did and why it was closed. A new roof and something else. Time to order dinner. The lobster grilled cheese for me and the shepherd 's pie for him. Mine came with tomato soup and fries. (Or you can pick coleslaw). We both had a little left over to take home. If you see me there, stop by and say hello.

Really nice spot with great views. Outside seating right up against the water which was nice, indoor/outdoor space perfect for enjoying while staying out of the wind for the most part. Mac n cheese was good, lobster grilled cheese was really good with great portion size (lobster not too too fresh but still good). Service was great, pricing was great, $8 cocktails!

Great scallop appetizer! Grouper bites were excellent too. We enjoyed the collard greens. Jim was a very attentive bartender. We will be back!

We went to 7 restaurants the week we were here and let's just say, last night, we visited here and hands down the best food we had. The service was great as well. The interior was from an old timey Murrells inlet past. We had the pretzel board: the pretzel, the pimento cheese, the pork belly- amazing! We then got the lobster mac and cheese, side of garlic green beans, the lobster grilled cheese, and fish and chips. He brought the malt vinegar for the perfect fries and we were happy! We will be back!

Just what we hoped for. Good food, good service, live music, patio setting and dog friendly! Samantha, our waitress, knows the menu and was very helpful in helping with our dining selections. She said we selected well on the Lobster & Shrimp Bombs (akin to Crab Rangoon except huge & with Lobster & Shrimp. We went with her dinner favorite of the Blackened Mahi Mahi. She was right - the choices were excellent. We had a nice breeze for our meal and enjoyable music to listen to. We would come back.

10/10 recommend this place, and I will be back again! A friend recommended we try this place. My aunt and I both had the scallops, they melted in our mouths! The fried pickles were delicious! I've never had so much flavor in a batter in my life! The bartender was so amazing with us and recommended something we would like perfectly! Frothy Bear was his top recommendation and he did not steer us wrong at all! The place is so relaxed and comfortable it feels like any hometown bar, and I cannot wait to make this my hometown bar.

This place was great our server Melissa was very nice and the food was great and the view

Unfortunately this was a miss for us today. Starting with the Spicy Creek-a-Rita - this did not taste like fresh lime (as stated on the menu). The frozen strawberry Daiquiri was just okay. Next we had the lobster bombs. I definitely did not like them but my husband ate them. He said they just had too much cheese. I had the lobster roll and coleslaw. Neither were good. My husband had the French dip and French fries. Both of those were good. Service was very slow!!! I think it would be helpful to give servers assigned sections vs rotating as people come in. Drinks sat on the bar longer than they should have. I was excited for this place but disappointed in the service and food. Plus side - they are dog friendly

This was a GREAT lunch place! The burrata salad slapped and the key lime pie was a highlight. The oysters Rockefeller were great and they left the breadcrumbs off of mine as requested to make it gluten free. No corn tortillas or gluten free bread.

Our first and second visit consisted mostly of the same things: Oysters and Calamari to start, Seafood Mac & Cheese and Fish & Chips. I had the lettuce wraps, which are big, so share. And I had Crab Cakes. The wraps were good but they needed a better aioli in my opinion, because it became a sort of watery dressing instead of something sturdier. And the pico de gallo was not actually that. It was diced tomato, onion and had zero taste of lime, salt or spicy. It was fine but could have been killer. My hubby had the Clam Chowder, Pan Seared Grouper and the shrimp Po Boy. He loved the grouper, risotto and the chowder. The fish was flaky and seasoned well. The po boy needed more sauce but was really delicious. My daughter (16) needed a seafood break since she had the fish and chips the first visit and went with the Claw House Burger. She said it was seasoned and that it was indeed 1/4 lb. And Fish & Chips was the best she had had (which, she's had an incredible amount for her young age) -- not too much breading, nice crisp on the outside and juicy fish. The fries both nights were a little chewy but the flavor was there. And how can I forget. Even though on the second night we saw at least five tables start with the Crab Nachos we added a third item, Fried Clam Strips. Those were ridiculously good. I'm not a fan of tartar sauce so I ate it without and it was perfect on its own. Everything was fresh, they paid attention to detail in most individual elements and the location sent it over the top. Definitely worth a visit.

A table of 4 sat a few minutes before we did and a table of 6 sat probably 10 minutes after them. Our table and the table of 6 were served before the group of 4 who had to ask a bus boy for service. Yikes! Server was sweet besides the empty non alcoholic beverage glasses she did not fill when our food came out. She didn't come back to check in on us until my husband's 6 bites of dinner were already gone. I asked if the portion is usually that small (especially in comparison to the significantly cheaper - MASSIVE PORTIONS we saw being served all around us) and she politely said "yes. typically, sometimes a little bigger." As someone with a culinary arts degree & kitchen background I was very very very disappointed on the portion size of his entree for the price & sizes of surrounding entrees being served (that were cheaper or around the same price) and it literally ruined my entire experience. A smidge dramatic but the God's honest truth! Great view, beautiful patio, friendly service - just extremely disappointed. I planned to order both of us dessert and immediately skipped out & asked for the check when the server finally came over to ask how our food was. This review is hot & cold because my experience was. Would I recommend it? I'd recommend going for the best oysters in Myrtle and a clean, friendly facility - but that's about all I can say! PS - $3 "destination fee?" Clearly I'm not from around here, but it was the only restaurant from north Myrtle down to Murrells to charge us a fee for eating there as a tourist.

Those that had Shrimp and Grits commented that the grits were fantastic but the shrimp (that were ordered grilled) had cajun seasoning on them like blacked shrimp - which was not what they were expecting. I had the She Crab Soup followed by a nightly special, Red Drum stuffed with a crab cake. The soup was OK but I didn't actually find any crab in it and it was kinda bland. The Drum was just awful - I should have sent it back but being in a large group I didn't want to hold everyone up. The stuffed Drum was the most expensive thing on the menu. It was tough, dry and WAY overcooked. The top of the Crab cake stuffing was burnt black. I suspect the dish had been cooked a day or two ago and simply reheated. Our waitress was wonderful, fast, efficient and got everyone's order right. She even put the TV on the Atlanta Braves game for us. I would probably try this place again, but I'd just order something fried.

Let's try the good first. We arrived and we're seated immediately, but was also arrived just before 5pm, and it was already packed. Not surprised as it is the peak of the summer season. Our server was pleasant and attentive, and in my opinion, that was pretty much the extent of the " good". The "OK". - the food was just that, ok. The cobia had no real seasoning on it, if it weren't for the butter sauce, it would have had zero flavor. The fries are obviously from frozen and cooked until very crispy, almost hard. The mac and cheese sampled from my wife's plate also tasted like a mass produced, frozen deal. She said the scallops were good, and the shrimp I sampled were decent. My son enjoyed his fish and fries, but he's 6. The "bad"...since I'm using those words. It's loud, and got louder around 5:45. No surprise though, it's called a saloon and the reviews clearly say it's loud. Be prepared. Parking. I guess if you can find a spot on site, you're good, but the pay lots across the street are $20 for 2 hours...the least you can get. And again, something I failed to read, researcher whatever, but the pictures of all the 4 legged friends that have crossed the rainbow bridge that adorn the walls, it was, to me, a bit of a buzz kill. I quite frankly never realized it's concept was to honor actual dead dogs. My bad. We've been, and I honestly don't expect well go back, at least not for a while. I'll give it another shot, but in an area like this, there are always new places to try, ones that have been open for 30 years, and ones that have been open for 30 days. It's important to make a good first impression to generate return business.
