Service was amazing considering our waitress seemed to have every table in the joint. The view of the marsh is gorgeous. Our food was very unimpressive. Three people got the crab leg steam pot. Knuckles were full of meat but the legs had little to no meat. Shells were real rubbery. I was on the fence about my rating, but the more I've thought about it I think two stars is where I need to land. My wife had said something about Inlet Prohibition a summer or two ago. We were on the fence about where to eat and I brought up Inlet. We arrived around 5:00 on a Wednesday. There were only a handful of tables filled. We had the option of inside or outside, it was very humid, with no breeze so we opted for inside. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive (1 star). We started looking at the menu and it was completely different than what was posted online (completely different appetizers, entrees, and prices-in some instances $3.00 or more expensive). We asked about a drink menu and were told to go to the website (insert eye roll). I had a rum runner and my wife had a margarita. She then ordered the scallops, and I had the 1/4 chicken with rice. Food came out quickly and was tasty (2nd star). Portions were very small with high prices. 1 small piece of chicken with some rice (no salad, hush puppies or bread) was $19.00. My wife's scallops were also expensive. Look at the picture and tell me that's a $19.00 meal. Overall, I'd never return to Inlet Prohibition Company. I needed to stop at a different place to eat two hours later because I was still hungry. I understand needing to make money but between a completely different menu online vs in-person, prices, and portions, I'm not sure how this place stays open. It was good, but the menu does not match the one posted here. We chose this place over Hot Fish because the menus were similar but this one was priced better. They must have updated the menu recently because it was a lot higher and didn't have some of the same items. I'm uploading the pics of the menu as of today. Lobster Mac and cheese was light on the lobster and scallops, but had a lot of shrimp. The lobster grilled cheese was much better. Shrimp po-boy shrimp was ok, but we had shrimp the past few nights that was much better. My MIL said the chicken pot pie was the best she ever had. We've been to three different places in the past few days and the thing that stood out here the most was the service. Our server was very sweet, but had too many tables. The other places we went to were bringing us refills before we had to ask. Our drinks were empty for a while here, and I know it wasn't that she wasn't paying attention. She had several big tables. We made a reservation for outdoors, but when we got there, they said they don't reserve for indoor or outdoor, which isn't want they said on the phone. We also were there for 1.5 hours with the reservation. I think maybe they were just understaffed. But there were also several empty tables which is unusual at 6:00 in the summer. So overall, it was good, but with so many options, we wouldn't feel compelled to go back. read more

Smash burger was ok, my friend loved it, so maybe just not to my taste. Service (Liam) and hostess (Devyn) were very pleasant and attentive. Ambiance was 5 stars overlooking the marsh, walking in their semi private deck over the marsh. This is a bar and drink review. I did not have any food. I asked the bartender what is your favorite bourbon drink? His reply was... After 28 years behind the bar, I still have not acquired a taste for bourbon. I do not like it. What is your go to bourbon drink? I said I'll have an old-fashioned with makers. Just what we hoped for. Good food, good service, live music, patio setting and dog friendly! Samantha, our waitress, knows the menu and was very helpful in helping with our dining selections. She said we selected well on the Lobster & Shrimp Bombs (akin to Crab Rangoon except huge & with Lobster & Shrimp. We went with her dinner favorite of the Blackened Mahi Mahi. We went to 7 restaurants the week we were here and let's just say, last night, we visited here and hands down the best food we had. The service was great as well. The interior was from an old timey Murrells inlet past. We had the pretzel board: the pretzel, the pimento cheese, the pork belly- amazing! We then got the lobster mac and cheese, side of garlic green beans, the lobster grilled cheese, and fish and chips. He brought the malt vinegar for the perfect fries and we were happy! I've never had so much flavor in a batter in my life! The bartender was so amazing with us and recommended something we would like perfectly! Unfortunately this was a miss for us today. Starting with the Spicy Creek-a-Rita - this did not taste like fresh lime (as stated on the menu). The frozen strawberry Daiquiri was just okay. Next we had the lobster bombs. I definitely did not like them but my husband ate them. He said they just had too much cheese. I had the lobster roll and coleslaw. Neither were good. My husband had the French dip and French fries. Both of those were good. Service was very slow!!! I think it would be helpful to give servers assigned sections vs rotating as people come in. Definitely the most wonderful chicken salad I have ever had and their conch and shrimp bisque is magnificent.

Decided to try the restaurant again this year. never again. it took over 45 minutes to get our appetizers and then another 45 to get our food. We had to ask several times when we were getting our food. They said they had other tables before us to get out. We watched as other tables came and went while we were still waiting. Once we did the food was not tasty at all. Mind you there were 10 of us and the bill was over $600 with drinks food and appetizers. Thought they would do everything to accommodate that kind of bill. This was one of my worst experiences. The food was okay. We went their to celebrate my wives birthday. Our server was the worst. As an African American family we didnt feel welcome there. The guy dropped my spouse's food which is no biggie those mistakes happen. but no apologies from the wattress or manager. My wife was crying this place was so bad. They brought a second plate out, but the fish was undercooked. At that point we justed wanted to pay and get out of their. The day prior we went to the restaurant across the street called Russells and they were outstanding. After we left their we went to Landrys seafood and told them what happened. They showed alot of empathy and really salvaged my wife's birthday with a great Lobster at a discounted price. This was the worst restaurant I have ever been at, the staff and management are completely incompetent. I question whether this was incompetent or whether this was because of the color of my skin. We used to love IPC, it was my "go to" place for seafood. Tonight may have been the last night we go there. The good - drinks were good, my husband had no issue with his lobster mac & cheese, and our server Gianna was the best! The bad - I ordered the red snapper and it was the strangest red snapper I've ever had - it was gristley, like a steak, not flaky at all, and not like any red snapper I've ever had. Ewww, I sent it back, which I never do, and went with the safe choice of peel and eat shrimp. Although I knew exactly what I was eating, this shrimp was mushy. I buy and cook fresh shrimp and I've never had mushy shrimp. I don't know what is going on with this restaurant, but I'm done with the experiment. I understand the restaurant has partially changed hands, they have a new menu and it's hard to find gluten friendly meals, which used to be plentiful. I always got the fish special which fit into my GF plan, now everything has a sauce or breading on it. It is not what it used to be. I was so disappointed, I was looking forward to a good fish meal but ended up leaving hungry. read more

When looking for a new place, we found good ratings and decided to try it. The restaurant has plenty of seating inside, lots of tables outside under a cover, and lots of bar seating at two different bars. They have a wide variety of food options, a full bar, and beer on tap. All of the food we ordered was good. We will definitely return. read more

Samantha was great waitress. She was prompt and inventive. I had great PB porter and wife a proper gin and tonic. I ordered blackened catfish with side of mixed vegetables and coleslaw. I want to share my recent experience at the" Inlet Prohibition Company" Murrels Inlet SC We had a party of 8 and only 6 of 8 meals were initially served. 15 minutes later without the missing food being supplied or assurance from the waiter when the food would arrive we asked our waiter to have a manager speak with us. After another 15 minutes or total 30 minutes delay the last 2 of 8 meals were delivered. Finally the manager Kerry showed up at the table (This is 20 minutes after us requesting a manager) and that's when our already poor customer service experience elevated to higher level of dissatisfaction. Kerry arrived at the table 1. Kerry never introduced herself as the manager with her name and title. 2. Instead, of listening to our complaint that only 6 of 8 meals were delivered for our group with a 30 minute delay to last meals Kerry continually interrupted us and provided a lecture that we should expect delays on a busy Memorial Day weekend in Myrtle Beach and the kitchen is currently experiencing a 40 minute delay in orders. This back and forth I ended by dismissing Kerry with a polite goodnight but Kerry continued to escalate until I told her she handled the situation like a complete unprofessional followed by a louder goodnight from myself. 3. Kerry's posture, demeaner, and obnoxious wad of gum chomping indicated she was ready for battle and instead of acknowledging the problem and providing a resolution she escalated the problem and worse supplied a clear message that this establishment could care less about a positive customer experience or any chance of repeat visits. There were also nearby tables experiencing similar issues we had such as waiting for drinks, lack of silverware being provided despite appetizers that had been served. So they seem to have a staffing problem in addition to a management problem because the place was not packed full of people. Food reviews from our group were mixed from meals were generally good to nothing exceptional. I'll spend my hard-earned money somewhere else that won't always get it right but turn the experience around with sound management practice, unlike Kerry who is way over her head. read more

Visited while at the beach. Someone in our party had eaten here before and loved it. We went down and our large party was seated quickly. Not lying on the draft list too outstanding. Settled on a SC hazy IPA. Our group tried a variety of things. The winner seemed to be the chicken pot pie, with those ordering it lovingly it. I had the shrimp po boy and found it to be very bland boring. I asked for more sauce to put on it which helped a little. One person had a lobster roll and really didn't like it. Another had a hot dog as odd as that sounds in a seafood place and said it had an odd taste. Such a cool little place on the water! Parking is a little tough but worth the repeat visit. Our server was def on top of it and helped us with "pick something good for me" and "make me a virgin beach drink for the preggo lady" requests. The crab sandwich was a little surprising as I kinda expected a crab cake, but it didn't disappoint. The pork chop and sides were Southern style perfect.
