I bought a 2007 Ford Five Hundred from here two years ago. After four months of having this vehicle…read morethe fuel line broke and they blamed it on where I had gotten my oil changed last. Service is mediocre, when the rear cradle of my car broke off while driving it, took them over a week to get the correct part ordered. The most recent repair wasn't bad when it hit my pocket, but due to the unforeseen repairs I attempted to delay my auto payments which I always make on time. The idiot rep whom I spoke to said she would speak to the finance manager about delaying the payment for a little less than a week, well she never did and it processed anyway! What a lazy moron! I know at this point I don't have much left to pay off,I cannot wait to just be done with CNAC because their incompetence for something simple is beyond irritating. Do yourself a favor and do not buy a vehicle from here or get financed through CNAC. They take advantage of people with less than perfect credit.

Especially to the single moms who work their ass off to pay bills.PLEASE make this your last resort. My biggest regret! I currently pay almost $400 for a 2007 car. When I was purchasing my car the rep would not tell me the cost of the car. EVERY time I asked what the price is I was told "We'll get there". Well, we got there when it came time to sign papers. At this point I my options were limited and I was desperate for a car. Worse mistake of my life. I regret it daily! HORRIBLE!!! MAKE THIS LAST RESORT!

Horrible experience with what should have been a simple recall repair on my Ford Escape. Called and…read morescheduled the appointment many weeks in advance and was told it was a one day repair and could be picked up at the end of the day it was dropped off on. I drop off the car for the repair on the scheduled day and get a call at the end of the day that the car would not be ready because they had to order the part. WHY would you not order the part in advance when you know exactly what the repair is (it is a recall, so a known issue and repair) and you knew this when you scheduled with me many weeks prior?? Well - because "if I no-showed to the appointment, then they would be out the 1000$ that is cost to order the part, so they couldn't order it til I came in anyway." So I was directly lied to about the repair taking only one day, as this was always their plan! I am then told it will take another 3-5 days for the needed part to deliver. I opted to leave the car there rather than make the 40 minute drive there and back once again the following week. I call again about a week later to see what was going on because no one had contacted me with an update, and am told it will be done by the end of the day tomorrow. Great. I call the next day - no, it will not be done, as they need to order an ADDITIONAL PART for it that won't be in for another two weeks at the earliest. Are you JOKING? At this point I demanded my car be returned to me. Now here we are, another week and a half later, and the dealership has yet to contact me about the part, finishing the repair, or any sort of estimated date for the service. I will not be going here again after having wasted essentially a month of my time on this. If you value your time and want a dealership that actually does what they are supposed to and can communicate with you - go somewhere else.

I was looking for a new car and planned to trade in my 2013 Toyota Avalon with only 78,000 miles,…read morewhich was in excellent condition. Kelley Blue Book estimated the trade-in value at around $9,500-$10,000. This dealership told me that Carfax showed the vehicle had been in an accident prior to my purchasing it in 2015, and because of that, they were only willing to offer me $6,000 versus the $9,000 they originally told me. Then they were extremely pushy wanting to make the deal ASAP. Fortunately, I still had the original Carfax report from when I purchased the car, and there was no accident listed on it. I felt the $6,000 offer was an extreme lowball, so I decided to take my business elsewhere. Their loss! I purchased my new vehicle elsewhere as well. I'm very glad I did. Another dealership gave me $10,000 for my trade, and they sold the Avalon within days. I believe it was listed/sold for somewhere around $18,000. My advice: Do your own research and get more than one trade-in offer before accepting what a dealership tells you your vehicle is worth. In my case, getting a second opinion made a $4,000 difference. I would not trust this dealership with a trade-in.

I have gotten my last 2 cars from here and had little to no issues (I understand the cars are used) but since financing my last car from them ONLY 3.5 months ago, it has a cracked cylinder head and I am being told the engine needs to be totally replaced. When I called Shannon, I was told they could not do anything for me considering it was over the 30 day warranty. There is no way this issue occurred from me considering I've only driven a few thousand miles on it and got it at the end of January 2026. I was told that the bank gave me an extended warranty that had total coverage if anything were to go wrong in the first 24 months/24,000 miles (whichever came first). I am now being told that it's not covered by the extended warranty. I am now stuck making monthly payments on an unsafe car that Shannon has sold me. Garages are telling me the repair will cost anywhere from $3,000-$7,000. Beware when getting a car from here. They have lost my business and any good word of mouth I would have passed along for them.

    ### Extremely Frustrating Experience with Help Financial…read more My vehicle was repossessed by Friendly Finance, now Help Financial, a finance company I was referred to by Eastern Motors in Alexandria, VA. I understand that the formal term is "repossession," but based on my experience, I strongly dispute the reason given for taking my vehicle because I was told it was due to a delinquent balance that I believe was not actually delinquent. What has been especially frustrating is my experience trying to resolve the situation with Help Financial. I contacted the company prepared to address the matter and retrieve my vehicle, but I could not get straightforward answers to basic questions about my account. I asked multiple times how much the repossession and recovery fees were, and the representative repeatedly told me she did not know. I also provided a payment confirmation number and receipt for a payment I had made through their payment portal, yet I was subsequently told that no payment had been received. I requested to speak with a manager several times and was repeatedly told that no managers were available. My intention was to retrieve my vehicle **today, Tuesday, August 18, 2026**, so that I could resolve the matter and avoid additional storage or recovery charges. Instead, I was told that Help Financial needed additional time to calculate the repossession fees and that it could take up to 48 hours. On a later call, another representative estimated that the fees could be approximately **$600-$800**. I explained that this was precisely why I wanted to retrieve my vehicle immediately--to avoid additional overnight charges at the recovery facility. I was told that this was simply how the process worked and that I needed to call back later to speak with a manager. This is incredibly frustrating. If a customer is willing and able to pay legitimate fees to retrieve their vehicle, why can't the company provide an actual amount due? How is a customer supposed to resolve the situation when the company cannot tell them what they owe? I also had significant difficulty getting clear answers during my calls, which made an already stressful situation even more difficult. When you are dealing with someone's vehicle, transportation, finances, and potentially hundreds of dollars in additional fees, communication and competent customer service should not be optional. I am not disputing that legitimate fees may exist. **I am disputing the alleged delinquency and the way this entire situation has been handled.** I have documentation supporting my payment, yet I have been unable to get a clear accounting of my account, an itemized redemption amount, or direct access to a manager who can address the issue. The experience has been extremely stressful and has left me questioning whether the process is designed to make it difficult for customers to recover their vehicles promptly. I work in client relations myself, and I could not imagine treating a client this way. People work hard for their money, and there should be a basic level of transparency, accountability, communication, and integrity when handling someone's finances and property. At this point, I am extremely disappointed with Help Financial and the way this matter has been handled. I sincerely hope corporate management reviews this situation and provides a clear explanation of what happened, including the alleged delinquency, my documented payment, the repossession, and the fees being charged to retrieve my vehicle. **Very frustrating experience. I would strongly encourage anyone financing a vehicle through this company to carefully monitor their account, retain every payment confirmation and receipt, and document every communication.** Sincerely, A Very Frustrated Client

My name is Lucas Souza, I bought a very problematic car from METRO AUTO SALES INC, in Philadelphia,…read morePA. I complained several times to the car salesman and he always promised that he would solve the car's problems, in the meantime I waited and after 8 months I gave up and decided to call FIRST HELP, thinking that the problems would be solved, but I was wrong, this company shows no respect for the customer (I DON'T MEAN THE EMPLOYEES, THEY EVEN ASSIST ME IN A POLITE WAY) they didn't call at the times they promised and the deadline for complaints ran out and my car was damaged. I also tried to activate the warranty but they always made up an excuse and never solved the car's problem. Because I had to spend a lot of money on the car, I ended up late on payments, but I always gave explanations to FHF. Now at the end of 2024 I became unemployed and once again I needed their help, but they no longer respond to me. I have warned them several times that they should contact me by EMAIL or through their own app. But they did not return the contact and now, in the early hours of 01/17/2025, around 2 am, I woke up with the car alarm going off and when I went to get the key to turn off the alarm, my wife came downstairs saying that they came and towed the car. I did not receive any prior notification by EMAIL, OR BY APP OR ON WHATSAPP, they simply came in the early hours of the morning without warning and took the car with all the new tools that I had bought the day before, new tools, my personal documents and other things. Now I am here complaining about their poor service and the lack of respect and consideration for customers. I am unemployed and have all my bills behind, with an eviction notice from the house where we rent. I have a 1-year-old baby and a 6-year-old girl who depend on me, and I don't think they acted correctly towards me. I will still try to get my car back, but if there is no agreement, I will obviously demand that they return all my belongings and personal documents that are in the car.
