I was introduced to Dearborn Brand Sausage many years ago when I worked at the Rouge in Dearborn. Honestly, if you like the offerings here at their Roseville store, you simply have to visit their original factory and retail store on Wyoming in Dearborn. It is amazing to see everything there. The Eastside store is much more convenient for those of us out here in Macomb County. They offer much of the same variety of sausages and meats as the original store. With the volume of business they do, you can be sure that the meats are always fresh. A favorite sausage of mine is the (Swedish) Potato Sausage. With little chunks of potato and added spices, these are perfect even for grilling at breakfast. Here's a little secret - many years ago, before they finally located in Roseville, I had forgotten to pick up a Dearborn ham for a holiday gathering. Scrambling to cover my mistake, I went to the 'HB' store just down the street for a spiral sliced ham. I stopped at Dearborn Sausage to pick up a ham for the holidays. There are always so many fantastic meat treats here to look at, I can only imagine how high my sodium would be if I ate all the stuff that caught my eye. All the people behind the counter are so helpful, they ensure that you get the right size and kind for whatever your event is. Dearborn Ham is so much better tasting and quality than that other place that's right down the street. They also seem to always have something to sample, and today they had a pot of smoked sausage and some chunks of Italian bread. It had been warming there for a good amount of time and was delicious. It was hard to only eat one...ok, a couple of pieces. The only tough thing about this location can be the parking when they're really busy, but they move people in and out pretty quickly so you aren't waiting a long time. read more

This is as authentically Eine deutsche Metzgerei as you will find without boarding a plane and showing your passport. If you ask for a certain cut of meat they accommodate you. The food in the deli is the best and they know how to make the 2 cold potato salads. The wursts are to die for - absolutely genuine and very tasty. The cheese selection is a little on the Americanised side but very good and plenty of choices! Their imported German condiments are excellent as well. This is one of the locations of Dearborn sausage. All the products that you can buy in markets and delis is offered here in their own retail space. If you're a big fan of Dearborn Sausage products, then this is the place to go. I'm not gonna lie, I'm not as big of a fan of Dearborn as I am Kowalski. There's nothing I could say other than I think the Kowalski tastes better. What they do offer that's of note is great griller packages that are tailor made for summer grill parties. If you want sausages/dogs/burgers for a family gathering or just having people over... this would be a good way to do it. I'll give Dearborn credit that they make a pretty tasty spiral-cut ham. It might be tough business though, since there's a Honey Baked Ham store literally two businesses down the street. Not a bad place to go for meaty stuff. It's a worthy choice... if Kowalski is too far of a drive. read more

This is your basic deli. There are deli meats, prepared foods and raw meats in the deli case. I'd avoid the raw butcher style meat though, it never looks fresh. I make the drive to this location which is the closest to my home about once every couple months for red hots. End up with a bit of jerky every single time also. It's bulk so you can get as much or as little as you want. They have a selection of local breads to save you a trip as well as condiments on shelves for even more convenience. You will pay convenience store prices for those items though. The employees make this place great. Everyone is always friendly. read more

They have very authentic German food and when I make rouladin (a German meal my grandma loves) They know exactly how I need the meat cut and dont look at me like im crazy when I ask for it. Love their 5 to a pound jumbo hot dogs. Also the Hungarian sausage is great, both hot and mild. What earns the 5 stars is the peameal bacon. Dearborn is the only place where it tastes like the does in Canada. read more

Dee-licsios! Maple and brown sugar glazed spiral hams for all our family's get-togethers and Holidays! We drive 60+ miles every holiday to get ours from the Roseville shop. While they do carry some Dearborn hams in certain grocery stores, I prefer to know that I am getting an authentic Dearborn Ham, plus you cannot get specialty glazes at the outlets. I only gave it 4 stars simply based on the condition of the shop itself, as it could certainly use some updates and improvements, good if you like that nostalgic butcher shop thing, However, employees are always friendly and helpful, with the best Ham in MI, not to mention their excellent hotdogs and sausage products, also great choices! You won't go wrong choosing a Dearborn Ham for your next family event! read more
