This was our favorite restaurant once upon a time so we were excited to see it reopen. When I make comparisons here I will not be trying to hold them to actual Spain, but at least to a general understanding of the dishes, & to their previous performance. ambiance is great, flamenco dancing playing above the bar silently while good flamenco music plays at a volume that makes conversation easy; our waiter was prompt, friendly, & knowledgeable. wine menu is fine. dishes were very hit or miss. Gambas Ajillo are a staple of tapas, typically with sherry or paprika, this was just garlic shrimp. aguacate was fine, ceviche with it was better, tortilla strips were the best part of that dish. We say pulpo is never the wrong answer... but this was nearly impossible to chew and the flavor was more "burnt" & less "smoked", we sent it back. We got the specials instead: fried oysters had a HARD crust but was mush inside, not appetizing. But the rellenos were beautiful! Last we got the asparagus wrapped in jamón, which was very good. Overall, we will go give them another shot, but we'll wait a while for them to figure it out and we won't be getting any seafood.

The just had their grand opening after completing a remodel and the place looks amazing and the location is perfect. Just west of downtown but still in walking distance. The staff is friendly and the menu is filled with so many delicious options to pick from.

Amazing food, friendly service, cozy place, presentation is amazing, but let's go back to the food... Chef Obed Salinas hits a home run!!! I am not an expert by any means, but I can personally say it's the best Spanish food I've had in New Mexico and many other places, including the famous place in Santa Fe (I prefer to not mention that one place) the flavor, the aroma, the presentation! It hits all senses!! The Paella de Mariscos was the best!! The tapas excellent!! The deserts, simple yet perfect!! The flan has a fruit flavor that is soft and delicious! The crema Catalan is like a cream brûlée yet better!!! I highly recommend this place!!

    Seafood was amazing

Food was amazing, very cute restaurant. Staff were efficient and kind. We will go back!

Debajo James, Brooke, James, Brooke who do I love the most? You two and Jacqueline made our visit so much fun! Hard working but still had time to smile and chat. Your personality are excellent. We had lots of different small plates and our two favorites, the shrimp, and scallops but everything was perfect. A lot of great flavors and it was like a circus in my mouth, lol, they also had a good Spanish wine list. I WOULD RECOMMEND

I would give this place 100 stars if I could. Tapas is my favorite type of restaurant and this is the best place I've had in the U.S. Kennedy helped us out and she was phenomenal and hilarious! The chef even came over to introduce herself. I tried the Poblano Flameado which was phenomenal, the pinchos were so cheesy and drool worthy, we got the Gambas A La Plancha, and again best shrimp I've had in a long time. The Higos y Barriga was delicious, strong in taste of fig balsamic. I lastly ordered the Manchen Frito, I personally enjoyed it but it was an interesting combination with the guava which some of my party didn't love. Either way, I absolutely this place will certainly come back. A little pricey but for a night out or date night it's worth it

Without a doubt the best tapas in ABQ. The sea food paella is outstanding! The tapas dishes were unique and flavorful.

We walked in and started reading the menu and chatting with the man at the counter. He helped us pick out *five* vegetarian pupusas. Pretty good start! We ordered the calabacitas and cheese, the green chile and cheese, the loroco and cheese, the spinach and cheese, and the bean. Then the guy was surprised we wanted to eat there - guess you only order at the counter for to-go. We also inquired about the aguas frescas, and upon being assured that they were not that sweet, ordered a tamarindo and a melon. We grabbed a small table under the TV playing cumbia and other Salvadoran music videos. There were several other folks in the place so we got to look at some of the other offerings, including huge bowls of menudo and possibly even huger tortas. Our pupusas came fairly quickly for pupusas (some places will advise you that they can take 15-20 minutes) and came with two sides: a bowl of a very thin but flavorful salsa, and a mound of red cabbage slaw that reminded me just a bit of a pickled situation. Two of us were able to eat the 5 together, although 4 would have probably been enough. But now we've tried them all. The green chile and cheese was my favorite; the calabacitas was also good. The bean would be better with cheese; I might try to eat it with a cheesy one in the future. Also, the aguas frescas were aMAzing. Definitely the best ones that I have had in Albuquerque, and possibly the best outside of Mexico. Just a delight! The only knock on this place is that they close at 6pm every day, so if you want them for dinner you'll have to get takeout the last hour they are open. They do have several breakfast-y options though, so maybe the next time we visit (and I definitely want to go back!) we'll make it a brunch thing.
