Came her for Valentine's Day. It has a cool vibe , I wish it was a little darker in there and that would make it a little more romantic. They have a smaller menu than other small plate places we have tried but the food was very good. I highly recommend the carrots. I believe we got 3 different dishes and it was enough for 2 people. I don't remember the exact name but it was shrimp and that was also good. Definitely give this place a try

As an out of towner that frequents ABQ for business, I am always looking for delicious places to be able to unwind after a long work day. I am so happy I found Triana! The second I walked into the restaurant, the smell was immaculate... I knew I was about to eat good lol. I sat at the bar and Ben, who has to be one of the best bartenders I had met was so attentive and friendly. He made the experience 100 times better. I order the Pollo Asado al Ajillo and the Esparagos à la plancha. Holy smokes both plates were out of this world ! I legit cleared my plates. Do yourself a favor and try Triana, you won't be disappointed!! I can't wait to come back during my next business trip to try more items and to see Ben!

We loved this authentic Spanish tapas restaurant on Knob Hill in Albuquerque. Such a nice switch from the constant Mexican cuisine, we really enjoyed their fresh, thoughtful and authentic touches. We shared several dishes, as well as a pitcher of yummy sangria. Highly recommend!!

First time in this lovely place upscale with indoor and outdoor seating. We had a nice combo of tapas and drinks. cocktails are fun and delicious. Loved gambias, atun, & papas. Service was very friendly. One item was forgotten but we were so full we didn't care. Parking is always an adventure there

Stopped by Triana on a Friday night around 7 pm after flying in to Sunport. There is decent street parking by the restaurant. The restaurant has a very modern and intimate vibe, with low lighting and smaller tables. There were several open tables, so we got seated immediately and placed our orders. We started with the pan con tomate, a classic Spanish tapa. The presentation was fantastic -- I thought it was super creative to have the olives on a skewer sticking out of the bread. I personally enjoyed how the bread was slightly over toasted, giving the bread so much crunch. Next was the Filet de Lomo, or steak skewers. The meat was incredibly tender and cooked to a great medium rare. I absolutely loved the green sauce it was paired with, it gave such a garlicky? kick to the dish. We then moved on to the Rabo de Toro, or oxtail. The presentation of this dish was amazing, with fried onions on top of the oxtail and mashed potatoes. The oxtail was very tender and tasty with the espangole, and the mashed potatoes were very rich and smooth. Next was the tartar -- since they ran out of tuna, salmon was used instead. Despite the switch, the fish was still great: the fish was very fresh and soft, and there was a lovely tang due to the lemon. We finished off with the glazed duck breast. The dish arrived very warm, and the meat was very fresh. I will say that with the skin of the duck breast on, the dish was quite salty (but I removed the skin and the duck breast was perfect). I found the raisin-orange-lettuce salad was very unique, but a great compliment to the salty nature of the duck. Triana was an amazing welcome into Albuquerque! The dishes had amazing flavors and beautiful presentation. I will definitely look to come back the next time I'm in New Mexico!

We went here for date night, and we had a lovely time. Every plate we had was so delicious! I have celiac and the server was incredibly kind when I said everything we intended to order tonight would be gluten free. I also loved that the gluten-free items were clearly marked on the menu. When I had a question about the menu, our server didn't hesitate at all to ask the chef. I truly felt welcome and not at all like a burden, which sometimes happens at other restaurants. I also loved that they had mocktails on the menu! As a mom, I also can't say how much I appreciate that there was a changing table in the bathroom, though I wouldn't recommend bringing a toddler if you can avoid it. I don't think they'd enjoy it as much as the adults would. Better to get a sitter, because it really is the perfect spot for date night or happy hour with your friends.

Overall it's a solid place with a lovely menu. I personally didn't care for the mushroom croquettas. We were a group of 7 and also ordered the shrimp, beet salad, shishito peppers, and the albondingas and the tabla de jamon y Queso. I asked our waiter to hold the blue cheese from the board since I'm allergic and he got very confused by my request and didn't want to make any modifications to the board even though I am specifically allergic to bleu cheese. The food was delicious overall except the mushroom croquetas, my favorite was the albodingas and shrimp. The entire restaurant feels very different inside from before when it was the taco spot. They really did a nice job remodeling and decorating. I liked the drink especially the pink hibiscus lime vodka cocktail. Will be back to try more tapas!

Extensive renovations and remodeling last year; have resulted in a chic, comfortable venue. I went tonight during happy hour and stayed for live music. The staff were friendly and accomodating, and service was excellent. The tapas menu is extensive and varied; clearly I'll go back to try more. The happy hour is a bargain! Three different tapas at five dollars each, reduced prices on select beverages. Live music tonight was flamenco guitar by Joaquin Gallegos a top notch performer with amazing dexterity. Sound level throughout was good; on occasion a bit hard to hear the guitar. Conversations everywhere were certainly lively. I love the decor and lighting. Another jewel in the Albuquerque restaurant crown.

Hidden Gem in Nobhill Albuquerque…read more I recently visited the restaurant at Mission Winery and had a great experience from start to finish. To start, I ordered the sangria and the crab & artichoke dip. The sangria was on the sweeter side but not overwhelmingly so, making it easy to enjoy with the appetizer. The dip was delicious, creamy, and packed with flavor, although I honestly couldn't taste much artichoke. It was still a great starter, especially paired with the bread. For dinner, I ordered the red chile fried chicken bites with fries. The chicken was the standout of the meal--crispy, flavorful, and coated in a delicious red chile sauce that had just the right amount of kick. The fries were perfectly cooked and paired well with the ketchup. My friend shared the appetizer with me and ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad, which she enjoyed alongside one of the wine tasting flights. The real surprise of the evening came after dinner. Our host handed us a card with a password to access the speakeasy downstairs. If you visit Mission Winery, don't skip this part. The speakeasy had a completely different atmosphere from the restaurant above and quickly became the highlight of the night. The space feels intimate, sophisticated, and thoughtfully designed, with dark wood accents, comfortable seating, and a stylish lounge vibe. My friend and I both ordered espresso martinis, and they were fantastic. The presentation alone was impressive--the unique glassware was chilled and helped keep the cocktail cold longer, allowing us to enjoy it at a relaxed pace. Between the excellent food, wine, creative cocktails, and the hidden speakeasy experience, Mission Winery offers much more than just a typical dinner out. The restaurant was great, but the speakeasy downstairs is what will have me coming back. Recommendation: Start with dinner upstairs, then ask about the speakeasy password and finish your evening downstairs with an espresso martini. It's one of the coolest date night or girls' night experiences I've found in Albuquerque.

We had a reservation for 11:30am and arrived on time, but ended up waiting outside for about 10 minutes with no staff in sight. We called multiple times for assistance before anyone came out. To make matters worse, the friend who made the reservation was never informed that brunch is held in the private club and not the e restaurant, which caused unnecessary confusion right from the start. Once a waiter finally found us, we were taken to the private club where we were told they only had three brunch menu items available that day. We ordered immediately, along with waters and mimosas. Keep in mind, there were only two tables total--our group of three and another group of seven--so it wasn't busy. Despite that, service was extremely slow. It took 20 minutes just to get our mimosas, and our waters were forgotten and didn't come out until another 10 minutes later. Our food took about 40 minutes, which felt excessive given how few people were there. Even more frustrating, my friends' meals came out about 10 minutes before mine. There's really no reason meals at the same table shouldn't be served together. The food itself was just okay. The only standout was the French toast, which was actually really good--and honestly the only reason this review isn't one star. I also ordered coffee and was told they don't carry creamer, which is surprising for a place offering brunch. Our waitress rarely checked on us throughout the meal, which added to the overall lack of service. Between the confusion, long wait times, and lack of attention, this experience didn't meet expectations. I won't be returning.

Our reservation was on time and people were quite attentive, assuring us it would be (we got there early). The ambiance was relaxed and quiet, but it got noisier as the night crowd joined. Service was attentive and also slow at times. I am unsure if the slow service was as we were enjoying our company or if this is the norm. As friendly as the service was, there were some significant mistakes. One order was not put with the others, delaying the dish even more. Having a party of six, I would expect the server to ask how to split the check before giving it. That delayed things even more at the end. To correct this mistake, he offered a drink on the house. And the last one, they charged me for drinks we didn't drink. We found this after we left. In terms of drinks, they were fantastic and long-named! My bartender's choice was absolutely in point. Even though the dishes came late, we were excited when they arrived. Visually, they were pretty. I can only describe our dishes and not that of our friends, as we didn't try them. For appetizers, we got the crudo. This was quite refreshing and bright ahi tuna with lots of citrus helped by pieces of creamy avocado. The hubs got the steak frites. Visually appealing, but the flavors did not match my eyes. The meat was cooked perfectly but was missing flavor and seasoning. The fries were also bland. I got the seared duck breast. This dish was visually stunning. However, it also did not meet the expectations set by the visuals. The vegetables and balsamic sauce were the heroes, while the duck breast was small and a third was just fat. Considering the prices of this place, we expected the visuals to match the flavors, but they were unfortunately not the same.

The foods here have a French flair, but there are American and New Mexican style choices available.Ghere is a very nice wine list and very reasonable prices of the wines. There's a special place in my heart for meatloaf, because in our house growing up, it was a comfort food that was served every Monday. It was on the menu tonight and how could I resist? This was an outstanding presentation. I really enjoyed the green beans cut to the short lengths as shown in the picture. A little bit of lemon zest gave them some brightness. The potato wedges were done to perfection with a little bit of Browning on the outside and a very creamy inside. The meatloaf was tender and had layers of flavor in the sauce. Food: 3 There weren't many appetizers to choose from, so we chose deviled eggs and bread. The deviled eggs were good, but they were just deviled eggs. The bread was startling small (but made sense with the low price). Ribeye Steak with Shiitake Mushrooms: The ribeye steak was cooked medium rare as requested, but I would have preferred a thicker cut. Although it tasted fine, it was literally just a piece of meat with some mushrooms on a plate. Most places with simple entrees like this have side options, but there weren't really any besides mac & cheese or fries. Tuna Salad Nicoise: This was probably the best savory dish of the night. It had a good balance of texture and flavor. This is what I expected Frenchish to be like - simple traditional dishes done well to make for a balanced and interesting dish. Saint Sebastian Burnt Cheesecake was excellent. It was not too sweet and had the right amount of tang. The burnt top added a nice texture change and charred flavor to a light dessert. Chocolate Burrito: If you want a rich and decadent dessert, look no further. This is a crepe wrapped around vanilla bean ice cream and covered in chocolate and caramel. It is fairly sweet but the peanuts add a crunchy texture and saltiness to balance it out. Service: 3.5 The host and waitstaff were excellent. The low score is for the timing of the food. We got appetizers and the salad for the table to share, but we finished all of those long before our entrees came out. I expect restaurants like this to have better timing, particularly since it wasn't super busy that night, with entrees coming out maybe 5-10 mins after appetizers are done. Ambiance: 4 The restaurant is nice. It has lots of seating but does not feel overcrowded, and it is fairly quiet. The biggest problem is that it is hard to find parking in Nob Hill.
