We found a last minute reservation at Debajo on New Year's Eve after our planned reservation was unexpectedly cancelled on us at another location. The staff was so accommodating and attentive. Every table inside and out was taken and service was excellent regardless. Anyone complaining about a long wait needs to chill and order a bottle of wine- good food takes time. The portions of each dish were large and shareable, I even took our last couple of orders home. I highly recommend the mussel and clams, pork belly, ribeye and manchego tapas. Our daughter loves the churros. Everything cooked perfectly. I wish I'd thought to take photos. Great selection of beers and wine. I'm so glad our other reservation was cancelled and we found this place. For the quality of food and great service we will always choose and recommend this place to others! read more

This is the 2nd time I have eaten here, but the first time in a long time. The restaurant is beautiful and I definitely recommend for drinks and a snack. We asked the server what was her favorite dish and she suggested these croqetitas de jamon y pollo (the name could be misspelled) we also ordered the debajo salad, the chicken skewers, jamon asparagus, and the tomato toast. We were very happy with everything except the suggested dish. Our server was very nice, and attentive, but the suggestion was a little off. The dish consisted of fried balls, that were described as ham and chicken balls. They were very bland tasting and the ham and chicken was almost undetectable. We have spent some time in Spain, because I have family there, and we have tasted something similar at a McDonalds in Madrid. Maybe it is a spanish dish, but it isn't that great. Don't get this dish. It was served as our last dish and was a little disappointing. Sad to leave on a band note. The restaurant is very beautiful and I bet for their flamenco performances it is a wonderful experience. Not a great place for an actual dinner, and like many tapas places here in the united states, they use this genre to over price these traditionally affordable plates. It is such a great experience to be in Spain and enjoy a fun bar and order 5-6 tapas to try a few bites of all the amazing foods. Wow! What a great evening my husband and I enjoyed at this local restaurant. The vibe is inviting and laid back. Dine inside or on the patio and enjoy the ambiance and wonderful service and unwind without feeling rushed. The food is amazing! We went tonight for my birthday dinner. We started with a carafe of White Sangria which was floral, citrusy and delicious. We shared a Debajo salad. Fresh mixed greens, manchego cheese, walnuts and cherry tomatoes. The salad was very lightly dressed with a fresh citrus dressing. I so appreciate when the dressing compliments rather than overwhelms and saturates the ingredients. Our second selection was asparagus with Serrano ham seared into a beautifully cooked packets. Accompanied with roasted heirloom cherry tomatoes and drizzled with paprika oil and balsamic reduction. Nice balance of flavors. Our third selection was paella mixta. Perfectly cooked saffron rice with chicken, Spanish chorizo, and shrimp topped with cherry tomatoes and a ferrous serving of haricots verts. Everything was delicious with attentive service. Awful, awful place. They sell unripe avocados in 3 day old batter for $15. Same with potatoes, undercooked (raw in the middle) portion size for a child for $9. No spices except for salt (if that even counts). They don't pay their staff, and steal tips from the serves. I have watched the owner scream for almost 40 minutes at start, In front of the entire restaurant, beyond intoxicated. She fired 2 staff members in front of our table and said they would never see any money that they were owed. Stay far away, the rich people that own this place that has not just terrible and overpriced food, but watching how terrible and illegally they treat their staff is reason enough. But our $200 check was not worth the disgusting food or watching young women being humiliated in front of an entire restaurant. Avoid this place. read more

My nephew and his family were visiting and we were excited to try a new place. We were a table of six adults and two children. Our total bill was approximately $400. The fried avocado was tasteless. The chicken skewers had spoiled and the staff in the kitchen refused to admit that it was bad. The queso was bland and burnt. The rice in both paella dishes was mushy and burnt (on the bottom) at the same time AND it was too salty.
