The length of time between ordering and receiving our meal was perfect. I ordered the pumpkin spice French Toast special...4 ginormous slices of perfectly prepared French Toast, scrambled eggs and the juiciest, most flavorful sausage patty I've ever eaten. I topped each slice with something different (the server brought boisenberry and maple syrup and their homemade strawberry rhubarb jam). Each bite was a little taste of heaven. My husband had an omelette (the bacon delight, I think...or something like that) which he enjoyed. The homemade biscuit was the star of his meal. I absolutely love this quaint diner. It's decked out for the holidays. Their staff was super friendly & personable making our dining experience the best! My breakfast was sooo good I dove right into it and forgot to take a picture (L(LOL). I had the 2 eggs w/2 bacon and 2 pancakes everything was perfect even my bacon, I forgot to mention to prep ware it extra crispy and it came out perfect and oh my word the pancakes and homemade boysenberry syrup was absolute perfection! If you happen to be on a road trip I'd recommend HIGHLY to stop at Dede's Farmhouse. I will definitely be back here when I road trip from Vegas to SLC! The big group did make our wait time quite long, though, and the food was not great. We ordered 5 different breakfast meals, and all agreed that they were not good. As for mine, I'm pretty sure the scrambled eggs were powdered eggs because they had a grainy texture and disintegrated in my mouth. My kids also had scrambled eggs and hated them. I also had the country potatoes, but they tasted burnt to a crisp. I did enjoy my toast with the homemade jam, and the sausage wasn't terrible. My wife and I had lunch there. The food was OK. I ordered a coke for lunch. It came from a fountain rather than a bottle or can. It was almost completely flat. I mentioned it to the server, who may also be the owner or at least a manager. She brought another one. It was also flat. I mentioned the same problem and asked if I could just have a club soda. She told me that they don't have a lever on the machine for club soda. So, I could not drink either $2.50 Coke. After those interactions and seeing that the customer left both beverages nearly untouched, one would think that there would be at least a sorry, if not an offer to take it off the check. That's what one would think; however, one would be mistaken. I had the privilege of paying full freight for a known to be undrinkable beverage. With only a small handful of restaurants in the town of Parowan, Utah, population 3,191, apparently, management can provide very poor customer service and still survive, perhaps on all the other things they sell besides food. My husband and I stopped in for lunch during a long drive from Idaho to California. We had never heard of the place and were never recommended to eat here. A simple Google search led us here because we were looking for a pit stop and a quick bite. We both ordered burgers with a fried egg on top. My burger was one of the best burgers I have eaten in a very long time. My husband was impressed by the quality of the hamburger meat and loved that it was the same size as the bun. He also said it was one of the best burgers he's had in awhile. For dessert we shared a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie, warmed with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. DEE-licious!! Our server, and all the other servers were welcoming, polite, attentive, friendly, and very sweet. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a charming dinner that reminded me of the small town I grew up in. Stopped by here twice this weekend on the way to and from Brian Head. It is really convenient and parking is easy. The food is mediocre but fine...think Denny's. The staff is disorganized and slow. I ordered the drinks 3 times with 2 different servers before finally getting something to drink. The place is so full of clutter it is difficult to move around and the tables are pushed so close together you can't move without bumping into either a person or all the junk lying about. Was over charged both days, items included on my check that I did not get and over charged for items I did get. I would suggest a hard pass on this one and head to the Parowan Cafe or the Lodge at Brian Head. read more

Don't come here if you aren't kind, patient, and deserving of delicious food. My 7 year old daughter spent Labor Day in Parowan- on Sunday morning we were faced with the difficult task of finding a place to eat... I assume one thing that is harder than finding a place to eat in a small Utah town on a Sunday is finding someone to work there. The staff handled the crowds incredibly well- they were charming and smiled and served some amazing food. The nicest staff ever brought me a "fresh from the oven, homemade" sweet roll on a fresh from the microwave plate without having asked if I wanted it hot from the microwave. It was split open like a bun, laying there with frosting bubbling from the heat, cooking it beyond recognition. Yikes, who does that? Parowan's whole marketing campaign for the city brags about the fresh homemade rolls - many places run out before noon. I'm counting this as a mistake. We accidentally went to Dede's because we were driving toward Waffle Cavé which had 5 star review, but according to a local person where Waffle Cavé was supposed to be the owner's moved to Oregon. so she recommended the newer place called Dede's. Oh my word what a cute and delightful find! From the cute decor to the scrumptious food! They have award winning Omelets which we recommend because that's what my husband and I both had. I had the ABC Omelet and my husband had the Spanish Omelet. The omelets were wonderful, but it didn't stop there. I had the home fries which had a delightful seasoning and my husband had the hash browns both were yummy but I really appreciated the extra flavor and seasonings on the home fries. I also really want to highlight their homemade toast and strawberry rhubarb jam! Often toast is not a big deal, but their texture and taste was so incredible it almost could have been a dessert! 5 stars!!! Also bonus cuteness was Dede herself was there just checking on local friends and catching up. read more

Tried it 3 times and no more. Never got any better. Ordered the Ruben because it said it was voted the best in a Utah magazine. It was basically fried lunch meat, Dede's vegetable omelet was a watery mess. I don't know for sure, but I think the Asparagus mushrooms and spinach are canned or possibly frozen. There is nothing fresh in this. The potatoes are sliced and deep fried with raw onions, green pepper, and red pepper on top. Absolutely nothing appealing about this. The woman who waited on us had zero personality. She took our order delivered our food and that was it. The restaurant is cute and has a lot of potential, but the food is subpar. read more
