    Beef rib

This place is just ok. The bbq was good but the brisket was lacking for me. The beef rib was great and huge but also over $30. Sides were all just ok except the Mac n cheese which was very good.

Dee Willie's BBQ was alright. This place had pretty standard BBQ - it wasn't really anything special. I was expecting better for a non-chain BBQ spot. The sausage links were very flavorful but the brisket was rather dry and crumbly. The sides were alright but not anything to write home about. The cream corn and mac n cheese were good but came out cold. The coleslaw was more of a salad. It had red cabbage, kale, and dried cranberries which is not what I imagine when I order coleslaw. The BBQ sauces were also just alright. The "spicy" one was (as someone who can barely tolerate heat) tangy at best. Dee Willie's, however, really shown through with their sweets. The pecan cobbler was spectacular. It was the perfect cross between pecan pie and a cobbler. I would say that the prices are very steep for what you get. Our waitress was very sweet. She had a playful personality and provided positive and quick service. The space was very big. There were many tables and a small stage for live performances. I imagine it would be a very lively place on a weekend night. This place is connected to a bar with some slot machines if you want to grab a drink before or after your meal. On a Thursday evening, about an hour before closing, there was only one other table dining in which may be telling about their food quality. There were a few take-out orders - one of which I overheard received an incorrect order upon pickup. I'm sure there are better BBQ spots in the area, especially for the price so I'm not sure I would recommend this one.

Haven't really wanted to try this place which is weird for me....I love BBQ and I LOVE to eat! The lady up front was kinda rude so I just left. I finally decided to give this place a go and i regretted it. $81 and wasn't even worth half of that. Do not trust the prices posted on Google, its much more than that. As for the food, the sausage was disgusting. It was like greasy hamburger meat texture. The turkey was delicious. Tender and cooked perfect. The brisket and the pulled pork was fine and tender. It just wasnt seasoned at all and if your going to have a BBQ restaurant then your food has to have more of a smoke flavor than Bill Miller's. The sides were ok. So the lady at the front was just as rude as the person 3 years prior. No reason for anyone to go and eat here when there's so many great restaurants out there and owners treating their customers like they're important to them.

We arrived and were greeted with a smile and a friendly face. We ordered the 1 meat and 2 sides platter. I got the brisket for the meat. It was tender and juicy, but not a lot of smoke flavor. The sides were pretty good which is not typical of a BBQ joint. The resturant was clean and decorated so cute like the old west. There's a bar connected to it as well.

Food was really good! Brisket was nice and tender. Thaden was a great server. Order was done fast!

Stopped by for lunch had three meat plate with cream, corn, and beans I chose brisket, sausage and ribs Everything seemed good if there was a weak point, it would be the cream corn. $27 for a slice of brisket, half length of sausage and maybe two small ribs. I get it. Barbecue is expensive. So with that being said, the service is good, attentive, and the barbecue sauces are decent. They have mild and spicy. Lunch set me back $33 for a three minute plate and ice tea. No harm no foul. Decent barbecue, a little pricier than what I would pay. The sweet tea is sweet. love it Enjoy.

First time at Dee Willie's BBQ and had a great time. They had live music and the volume was perfect. I was able to enjoy the music, food and company. The ribs and brisket were delicious!!! They were seasoned to perfection. The staff were friendly. I will definitely be back.

Delicious no other words. Hands down the 1st bbq place I actually enjoyed the food. Great service, country style, country music. Will definitely come back.

I live near Dee Willie's BBQ. Been there a few times in the past. However my recent visit was different. They've up's their game! BIG TIME! Adding BEEF RIBS to the menu. I'm from Arizona, grew up with mesquite grilled beef. I'm a tad bit judgy. Their beef ribs are damn good! Be ready to drop $50 + tip for 1 person. You get two sides, a drink and dessert for that price. I was stuffed. Had to take home my banana bread pudding... wow! Some of the best bread pudding I've ever had. Well done Dee Willie's BBQ.

OVERVIEW: Decent BBQ spot in SA, since there are not many. Popular for their baked potato salad. Meats are decent and sides are okay. Service is very casual. Plate and sandwich options, as well as family meals. 3-3.5/5 stars. QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, they have a full lot shared with other businesses. - Reservations? No, just walk in, seat yourself, and a server will tend to you. - Takeout? Yes, you can order ahead or arrive and order there. FOOD & DRINK RATINGS: - Sweet tea (2/5): I love sweet tea but this was sooo disgustingly sweet. Whoever made the batch today dumped an insane amount of sugar in there. Could hardly taste the tea. Had to ask for some water (which they charge $0.25 for) as well. - Spare ribs (4/5): Good size and very tender. Very peppery flavor (no sweetness or BBQ sauce basted on them). - Turkey (4/5): Very tender. Skin is same peppery seasoning. BBQ sauce is also spicy/peppery or mustard-y. So no sweetness anywhere to balance out meat seasoning. - Creamed corn (3/5): Kind of reminds me of corn in gravy vs. cream. And again...peppery. - Mac and cheese (3/5): Just okay. Creamy but not a lot of flavor. - Peach cobbler (3/5, not pictured): Good ratio of crust to peach filling, but was served room temp. Ice cream did not really melt into it. Also very sweet!

Ask the Community - Dee Willie’s BBQ

Is there all you can eat BBQ as advertised by David Elder?

Do they have beef ribs? I went and they did not offer beef ribs

I've read reviews that say they tried beef ribs. Maybe try calling them when they're open.

Will you open today fathers Day?

Last I heard, they were closed until the 19th for renovations.

For a starter we shared the cornbread with another couple and it was plenty for 4 people. If you are from out of town and looking for some Texas-shaped vittles or just want something substantial to stretch your meal I recommend it! Very tasty and filling. For my main I had the scallops with creamed corn risotto. It was a dainty portion but the flavors were nice. My husband had the short rib tagliatelle which he loved. It was very rich and filling. We had the buttermilk pie again for dessert and this time it tasted sweeter than I remembered. It was good but we couldn't finish it. Idk if it was my tastebuds or if it was different. Checked Yelp for dinner suggestions so Doc drove us to the paid lot next to where all the Cinderella lit up carriages drawn by horses were lined up. It seemed the boats going up and down the River portion of the Walk were busier. While we were walking I had my eyes open for a table with a view. We stopped at Four Brothers. The receptionist went over suggestions on the menu on her outdoor podium. Cornbread in the shape of Texas, shareable items like Dino ribs for $82, plus Pork Shank and ice tea completed our order. Everyone was very friendly. We had an exceptional view and we had more than enough food that we had to ask for take out boxes. My favorite was the Mac & cheese though I'm usually not a fan. This dish used cork screw shaped pasta and it was moist and not stuck together. I had to share a photo of it with Sweetie who is in Tokyo right now. Doc liked the pimento for the cornbread. As it was almost 9 pm we decided to pass on the boat ride but just walk on the other side with shops and more eateries. We're back on the road again tomorrow to Arizona.

Favorite item was the Alamo huevos rancheros. This was a rare treat to enjoy a dish with brisket, cheese, and salsa without some kind of heartburn afterwards. Texas waffle: was one of the best waffles either of us has had in a long time Blueberry pancakes: very good. I really enjoyed the stewed blueberry Chilaquiles: this we felt was the only miss. Didn't like that it was prepared with tortilla chips instead of fried tortillas Steak and eggs: ask for extra chimichurri sauce and maybe add some extra salt. Once you do that, this dish is fantastic Avocado toast: this definitely needs smoked salmon or other protein. Otherwise it isn't very substantial. Y'know it's impossible to find street parking especially on the weekends normally. I had made reservations to meet some friends here for brunch/lunch 1145 am on a Sunday. This place is bigger than it looks! There's seating at the main building, plus a huge outdoor patio seating area, and an entire other building beautifully decorated. The hostess was welcoming and friendly and our server was excellent. We were seated in the other building near the windows. The menu wasn't huge, but just right with a few lunch and brunch items. After debating for a while of what to order, I decided on the Texas Gulf Shrimp plate. Agua Fresca of the day per our server was strawberry pineapple. Our server was able to water mine down slightly- since it was very sweet, but love knowing that it was freshly made. Complimentary chips and salsa always a plus, and we were able to order some spicy salsa to accompany at no charge. My shrimp plate was delicious! 2 skewers of nicely cooked and seasoned shrimp atop salsa with perfectly cooked cilantro rice and a fresh leaf salad. A half slices avocado accompanied my plate. Oh how I love avocados. I thoroughly enjoyed my plate. The chicken al carbon was also a good choice - half a chicken that was juicy, not dry. The avocado toast was beautiful and the pecan salsa was quite interesting. The female performers during our brunch in the room, made it very hard for all of us to have conversations. The volume echoed loudly in the room, so it was very hard to speak and understand each other. Although a great idea, maybe outdoor patio area might be more suitable. Beautiful space, great service, good food.
