I called the order in, some guy named Freddy took my order. ordered 1 pound of lean brisket and 1/2 pound of brisket, 1 large order sweet potato casserole, 1 serving of Mac and cheese, 2 orders of banana pudding, and 1 order of pecan cobbler...the guy said 10 minutes...I get there the guy says, 1 pound of marbled brisket, I said I ordered lean brisket...he said yeah, that's what I meant....and so on. I get home, and WOW!!! All the FAT!!! That's why I only ordered 1/2 of pound of brisket, I don't mind a little fat...but WOW, I didn't know I was paying for all that fat that I got with this order. Then I didn't get my banana pudding and I didn't get the pecan cobbler...instead I got the peach cobbler...way to go D'Willie!!! Way disappointed!!!! We were in the neighborhood and wanting lunch. The ratings for D Willie's were 4.5 with most of them extolling how great the food tasted. They were right. Some of the best BBQ we've had, and living in Central Texas means finding BBQ is pretty easy. We had just spent time riding the Riverwalk and my only disappointment was that they didn't serve beer. Wasn't the worst I've had, but definitely not the best either. The BBQ wasn't very flavorful. The chicken and brisket were both dry. The sauces make the meat better. The banana pudding was the worst I've ever had. It had a "gritty" texture and again lacked actual flavor. We came to San Antonio about 6 years ago and our granddaughter brought us to Dee Willie's, and we loved it and so when we came back this time my wife wanted to have her birthday there. We didn't get to go for her birthday but on the way back from San Angelo we looked up Dee Willie's and the GPS took us to this location. We knew it wasn't where we had gone before, but let me tell you, it was every bit as good. The service was great, it was nice to have a server with a little personality without being intrusive. And speaking of birthdays, it was the owner and founder's wife's birthday and while we were paying she gave us a little history. Fabulous food, friendly service who could ask for more. We don't get to Texas often enough but when we do I have brisket as often as I can and on my opinion Dee Willie's is miles ahead of the rest. read more

My son and I ordered the all you can eat. They give you so much food you can barely finish the first plate. 3 meats and 3 sides. Everything was so good , the meats had the natural bbq taste. This family owned business popped out of no where, but it surely isn't lackluster! My mother told me the other day I want to try this new place and me being myself knowing everywhere new was like where? She was like it's a BBQ place on s.zarazamora. So we piled in the car and headed here to a nice little BBQ place. The one thing that got my attention was the "Baked Potato Salad". I didn't try that tho, I tried their potato salad and mac and cheese, both to DIE FOR! The brisket is better than the sausage in my opinion, but I tried both! We went on a Sunday with a fairly large group after Sunday worship. The service was five star, waitresses were on point. Attentive, fast and friendly. Everyone's food came out hot and delicious! I asked for sliced jalapeños and got a whole cup full. They don't skimp. Portion sizes are fantastic. The loaded brisket potato is to die for. Brisket nachos are amazing! Also, the prices are different from their online menu or homegirl gave herself a $14 tip. $79.99 for family and $22 for Dino rib even tho they told me $20 over the phone. Suspicious.
