Forget about leaving a message with their service department, you won't get a call back and when you do finally make your appointment, you better not ask for anything. The definition of service is... "the action of helping or doing work for someone." My service attendant at Deel Volkswagon should re evaluate their technique and perhaps goggle the word "service" themselves and take heed and learn and adapt their service skills. First of all I want to say that I was loyal DEEL VW customer as this is the second brand-new Jetta that I acquired with this same dealer. It all started when my lease was about to end on my 2011 car, I decided to weight my options and give the car to Carmax to sell it and start a clean 2014 car deal with DEEL. I took the car to Carmax and had it appraised , the car was perfect nothing wrong with the car inside and out, that company does a very thorough inspection of all his vehicles because their pay cash out right. Then I made the mistake of giving the car back to DEEL as a trade in and get a new car because I thought it was easier and less paperwork as I was getting at the same dealer. I talked to the new car manager who was in 2011 the salesman who sold me the car, Ivan, he was very good with words and told me to leave the old car that everything was going to be taking care off, just signed the dotted line and give the down payment to drive the new car that same day off the lot. they took my car out back and we inspected the car one more time Mr. Ivan , his helper , my nephew and myself all four of us looked at this car every which way, there was nothing wrong with the car it was perfect top to bottom inside and outside, Just like the CARMAX report, I left that nigh and the manager told that because the car looked so perfect he was going to sell it to another client who was looking for a slightly used car the next day. 10 days later I received a letter from VW Finantial saying the car had $1500 worth of damage on the lower side of the car, I called the dealer repeated times Ivan the manager never call me back he's not responding to any of my calls. I talked to another manager in the store and he told me that basically I am screwed that I signed the paper saying the car was subject to inspection, paper that I never signed or received. This is a liability issue and I should contact an attorney if there is no responsibility from the dealer on cars left in a trade , the dealership should not accept any pre-inspected car by the third party they hire to inspect , just to make a sale. They trashed my car at the dealership and now they're trying to get me to pay for it or maybe this is just another way for them to collect extra money on a sale . This is the last VW I will ever buy nor will ever recommend a DEEL dealer any other person These people are money hungry and trying to squeeze every penny out of me. read more

I never write reviews, but I'm advising everyone to STAY AS FAR AWAY as possible from this shady service department. I took in my brand new VW Tiguan for a "complimentary oil change" at 10k miles, this dealer reflashed my software without me asking. Now I'm having glitching issues with the vehicle shutting off at park as part of some eco-mode, and the TPMS is now longer functioning properly. This is a shady shop. They will break things, to then fix them under warranty from VW, I'm guessing. Stay as far away as possible, get your work done at Esserman Doral. read more

Terrible service. Yo summarize, I had my appointment today on which prior you select the services or recalls that automatically come up when scheduling the service. When I arrived I gave the keys to the service person Robert Frank however this person from the moment I arrived seemed very moody and did not even greet me. Then I asked if possible to get a ride home in case it was going to take long and he just pointed at a door a said you can get it over there. I continue waiting behind him not knowing if I had to stay with him or I could proceed to the door he showed me. So he turned and with loud and rude voice said that I needed to stay there with him which I responded that is what waiting for him then he turned again and yield to stay and I said "I responded that I was waiting" so far it was a stressful moment and I felt that by bringing my car creates an inconvenience with this person. Long story short I continue waiting and then he saw another colleague and told him I needed the ride. He also mentioned it will take about 4 hours. 5 hours passed and I did not get any call so, I proceeded to contact the service number to find out the status. The gentleman that answer then tells me that that the car pool was already gone at 3 pm ok so I wish I was told this when they brought me but ok I will take an Uber no problem. Then they transfer me with Robert Frank the service rep. He then with a very rude tone said they where too many recalls and that I brought the car too late that they will try to have it ready by 5 pm. I answer back well I made an appointment at 10:45 am and on the appointment process I select the recalls so they had all this info since 10 days prior to know if it was enough time or not and that unfortunately I needed my car back today. So he said well we don't know the recalls and I am once again repeating but this is the first questions they ask on the appointment system so why do they even ask this if the professionals are not monitoring this. They could have contact me with plenty of enough prior time to perhaps schedule to an early time however, when I first arrived robert said it will take 4 hours. Anyhow it was a very stressful call as robert was not a pleasant person. Now they called me to let me know that either Ali leave the car overnight or bring it back. Fina thought: it is not about the issues you encounter it is about the approach you take when you speak to the costumers. We just called this dealership 2 hours ago and spoke with Cesar. We said we have a 2021 R-Line Atlas, lease, excellent condition, well under miles. They said we could bring it in immediately. We just got here 30 min ago. They offered us the same amount Carmax did, OVER my buy out quote amount, without us telling them the Carmax offer. This was easily the most pleasant, direct, and organized car transaction my boyfriend and I have ever experienced. Cesar was a man of his word as we were honest about the condition of our very well kept car. We feel really good about this. Also, the dealership itself is very clean and nice. Doesn't feel like a dealership in here at all. My 1 year old has toys to play with here too. Definitely recommend! read more

Yesterday I had the misfortune of coming into this car dealership. I dealt with salesman Andrei Caruntu. He was a typical slimy salesman. Two main things that bothered me. 1. He straight up lied to my wife and I about a specific model car we were looking for to try and upcharge us on a newer model; and, 2. He was incredibly rude and laughed in my face when I low-balled him instead of using what little brain he had under his 2nd grade bowl hair cut to come up with a counter offer. I know he lied because 1. I called another Volkswagen dealer and confirmed they had the exact model Andrei told me was no longer available in South Florida and purchased it that evening; and, 2. Horrible experience. Call them to buy my lease and they told me I had to pay for an inspection before I could buy my own car. I didn't want to fight so I did it. After doing and paying for the inspection I went to the sell guys and they tell me I can't buy my lease with them because the lease was not done with them. I call both VW Credit and VW Group of America and both tell me they should. But they still refused. I ended up going to a different one and lost the money of the inspection. read more

This review is for the service department, I can't speak to their sales team. I usually take my car to Palmetto 57 to be serviced, and I've always had a good experience there. This time, I went to Deel since it's closer to home. My car is leased and I've had problems with my tire sensor almost from the beginning. Even after it's professionally serviced, a few miles down the road the tire light will come on again. I've learned to live with it, but my lease is up next month and I didn't want to be charged for something that has been a continuous problem. Long story short, the service technician my husband and I dealt with when dropping off the car was nothing short of rude and condescending. The first thing he said when he saw the light was "did you even read the service manual?" We explained to him that it has been a problem from the start and it's likely something with the sensor. He told us that there was no chance it was the sensor, but if we wanted to find out for sure it would be $200. Every time we tried to talk he would cut us off with a smart comment on why we were wrong. There was no way we were going to pay for a manufacturing problem on the car, especially since full service is covered under the conditions of my lease, so we left. It's almost laughable that something that should have been a simple servicing turned into a confrontation, but after reading other people's reviews it seems par for the course at Deel. I'll also note that I get calls and emails daily from Volkswagen trying to convince me to go with them when my lease is up next month. I guess they can thank their terrible service staff for guaranteeing I go elsewhere. read more

Ive been there to buy a VW and serviced one (which i bought @ another dealership) Buying experience: this was 3 years back, i spoke to a salesman named Stephan. Very rude. His attitude was buy a car or get out. I asked him which GTis did they have in the lot, he replied are you buying one or leasing one? i replied i want to buy and if i could look at some of the color combinations they had. He replied (and i quote) "listen buddy im not a poker player, im not playing a game and im not trying to guess what you're looking for" and then he asked for my license to "check something" keep in mind i have not even seen a GTi nor asked for a test drive. I walked out. Service experience: I went back to the service department bc i live near by and hoping their service department would be better than their sales department. The guy who usually help me is a cool guy but every time i leave their service dept they find a way to charge me with more BS: need new brakes, need to clean manifold (who charge 500 to clean manifolds?), and just my last service i was charged for 300+ dollars to fix a pedal sensor. I didn't have the money, but of course i was charged 150$ for one hour labor (Did it take them one hour to diagnose a pedal sensor issue or do they just charge you one hour to do so? either way you look at it.. its BS). I got a flat tire a week later and decided to try out Esserman VW. They pulled a plug to patch the tire for me free of charge: thats no labor charge and no plug charge. Bought my "new" car here. Fast Forward to get my 20,000 mile service and a new battery at another VW and they tell me my car is no longer under warranty. The car was not even two years old. Turns out Deel sold me a loaner car as new (and I paid a new car price!) and the warranty started with VW corporate a year earlier. I had to get the car jumped and taken back to Deel so they could replace the battery. A year earlier when I took it in for my 10k mile service at Deel, no one told me about the warranty and they actually did the 20k service, so another lie covered up about cars history. Deel did extend the warranty but refused to help or compensate in any other way. Lying to customers about a cars history is apparently common place as I just learned of this happening to someone else at the same dealership. VW corporate was no help at all either. I should have gone to another dealership just west of this place. read more

Very disappointed! This is the 2nd time that VW lures us in to finish a deal and throw us a curveball that we had to walk away. We were there ion Saturday afternoon did all the preliminary dealing for a Tijuana. I asked to leave a deposit in order to come tomorrow to finish. They said there was no need for a deposit. The next day I get there? Start signing the paperwork and was told the car was sold to another dealership! Did we want o see another??? These guys are criminals, plain and simple. Brought vehicle in and was pressured for about $4000 in repairs that did not address actual problem vehicle was brought in for (weak acceleration) Was charged $100 for diagnostic when nothing appropriate was diagnosed and $30 for "restocking fee" for parts supposedly ordered that were not authorized. Vehicle was taken to VDepot, about 30 minute drive away, and they immediately found the problem (valve associated with turbo unit) that deel failed to find. Additionally, Deel said struts were "leaking" and needed $2300 repair, when VDepot found that they were not and just needed brackets and mounts. This is classic repair shop thievery. Approach this place with caution. I wouldn't even get an oil change here. I wish I could give zero stars. read more

Review for service dept only! Can't speak to the sales. I lease a Passat and have stopped in on a few occassions to get info. I've had to physically drive there because every time I call (every single time), I am disconnected. I'd like to think it's a coincidence and they have a bad phone system, but I'm starting to believe it's because of my preferred language. The impossibility of getting through to anyone on the phone induced me to go to Esserman in Doral for my last service. No problem there, excellent service, but a major inconvenience. Fast forward, today, the battery in my car was dead and Doral was not happening. I knew Tires Plus would charge $164 to replace, but I stopped in to Deel to get a quote - when it was apparent nobody was handling intake, I got out and approached a service advisor myself. (Not friendly, but whatever, my battery doesn't need to come with a smile.) Quote: $199. Not bad, but it was worth it to me to drive a block and a half to save $35. I thanked Mr. Congeniality, told him I was going up the street to save a few pennies, then left. He said nothing more. Not a word! Of course, what should be simple never is. After the battery was replaced, my driver's side window wouldn't go up automatically. Quickly stopped in to Deel again and asked if they can re-program the computer. YES, THEY CAN, FOR $117‼ In sum, Mr. Congeniality told me that was my punishment for going to Tires Plus, and when I asked him why he didn't share that little piece of information before I left, he clearly didn't give a youknowwhat. Obviously, had he advised me of the process and risks of being frugal, I would have stayed at Deel and he would have added another easy $200 (and good will) to the pocket of a company that is currently near the top of the world's shit list. As much as I hate Doral, I seriously hate this place more. I have given them more than one opportunity to redeem themselves, and this guy totally blew it. It doesn't take much to be pleasant, and when you're a service advisor, customers expect to be ADVISED. read more

I bought a new Volkswagen from Deel and it was a great experience. Our salesman, Ivan, let us test drive a billion cars. And he was no pressure whatsoever. When we came back the next weekend to actually buy the car, we were totally treated with respect. The negotiation process with the sales manager took a little while, but they ultimately agreed to what we wanted. And the process of waiting for and signing the paperwork took way less time than I have ever experienced at a car dealership. There was no shifty pressure to buy "clear coat" or anything like that. And Ivan spent forever showing us everything about the car. It was altogether a delightful experience. Be warned, they try to add a $599 dealer fee to the price of every new car. The fee doesn't appear on the main window sticker, but on a sticker next to the window sticker. We refused to pay this and eventually they reduced the price by $600 to account for it. They will tell you that they can't waive it, but then you must insist that they subtract it from the price. read more

I have been a VW customer for two years and every visit is a pleasant one. I always work with Robert Frank as my service consultant/advisor. He is detailed, polite, and very knowledgable of the VW product. You can see that by all the awards present in his station. I highly suggest making an appointment instead of walk-in. You can either wait or be transported using shuttle service. No loaners available afaik. My car performs like new. My only suggestion would be to offer customers car wash service upon returning the vehicle. That would be a very nice touch. read more

I have to say, the negative reviews of this place originally scared me into a 45 minute drive to Weston to have my service performed on my car - but then when three weeks later my "Check Engine" light went off, I wasn't about to risk the entire trek to Broward County ("the BroCo") just to get it checked out. Came here on a Thursday morning, they checked out my car and replaced my brake pads, no problem. The associate who helped me even went ahead and ordered some under-warrantee pieces that needed to be replaced without me even having to ask, and they replaced my malfunctioning key on the spot. They're not as fancy as the Weston dealership, and their online scheduling system is completely unusable, but my in-person experience was nothing if not pleasant. read more

VW owners beware! So last year, I had a little issue with the beetle, where it would randomly die in the middle of the road. Eventually after 20 minutes it would come back to life and I could drive it for awhile before it did it again. So seeing this was the closest VW dealership I drove it there. They charged me $2500 to change my head gasket out among some other things that were intended to fix the problem. I left Deel and 6 miles later in the middle of South Dixie Highway, it did it again. So I guess the head gasket wasn't the problem... I bring it back to Deel and since they were closed, left it in the front with a scathing voicemail. I get called back - turned out the problem was electrical. The service rep had the gall to tell me that they fixed it for free - and I was really lucky because that would have been really expensive to fix it. Lucky? You consider not fixing my car right the first time and me stalling out on South Dixie lucky? Here's the kicker... I had moved on from my experience at Deel, and had to get some work done so I went to Esserman. Well - I have a turbo engine. Apparently there is another gasket aside from the head gasket that has to be replaced in tandem - or it'll create a leak. Since Deel had only replaced the head gasket last year - and not both... I had a new leak on the other gasket, costing me $700. Stay away - they're rude and clearly don't do the job right the first time. read more

I brought my 2012 VW GLI to DEEL VW Service to get its 10k mile check up. I had the pleasure of dealing with Dominick who, I would say, is the epitome of excellent customer service. He was friendly, explained everything in detail, quick, and efficient. He let me know that my car had a few recalls and that it would be 5-6 hours instead of 1-2. He insisted that I should take the shuttle and go on with my day instead of waiting for my car. You can tell that he puts himself second and his clients first. That let me know that he was more interested in making sure that I was taken care. All in all, I got my GLI back better than new! The things that I had pointed out, that I wanted checked, were corrected. I love the fact that I know I'm going to be taken care of and not rushed out of there. I'm experiencing issues with a deteriorating headliner on a 2009 VW CC luxury edition. Dealer could not tell me the name of headliner manufacturer and referred me to national help line who then referred me back to Deel's service department. Classic example of pointing the finger at others with no one willing to step up and help resolve the issue. I did a little research and see that VW's from 2008-2013 have tons of issues with the roof/headliner fabric and foam. Unfortunately, VW expects the consumer to foot the bill for poor craftsmanship and neither the dealer nor national customer support will step up to the plate. What a shame. My family will never purchase another VW. read more

Talk to Angelo Nieves. Hands down a respectable place to bring your business. Most car dealerships are out there to get over on you and make as much off you as possible. Unless you do your homework, dealerships can really take advantage of you. Simply put, I did my research and shopped around. I came across a hot deal online. I was then connected to Angelo. He was very straight forward with me. He (along with Michelle in financing) helped me get pre-approved on the financing with a great deal. Although I didn't get the car I originally intended to get, with the help of Angelo and Michelle, I was able to get an even better deal than the deal I originally wanted. Of note, this dealership is not out to get over on you. They won't yo-yo finance or spot finance you. They won't pressure you or talk you into buying a vehicle you don't want to or don't intend to buy. As a first time buyer that has been to over 6 dealerships and talked with over 10 dealerships on the phone, Angelo and the team here are by far one of the last honest dealerships here in Miami. read more

Recently, I've had to take my car in more often than I'd like (in fact, more often than is normal, but I guess that's what happens with VWs) but the service has at least been pretty decent. Granted, it's not my favorite place to be, but everyone has been pretty cordial. I usually deal with the same service rep and he tends to get my car in and out fairly quickly. The shuttle service runs at limited times but has been able drop me off wherever I need to be without hesitation (Doral, Downtown, and Kendall so far). It's only inconvenient due to the limited pick-up/drop-off times (they leave at 8:30 a.m. and no longer pick up after 1:30 p.m. or so). Generally, it's not a bad bunch of people and not the worst service. I only wish they'd be a little more accommodating to their clients. read more

Went to DEEL based on a referral from a friend, yet I was cautious, as somebody said correctly "the second least exciting thing in life besides having a colonoscopy, is buying a car!". However, nice surprise, I dealt with Devin, and he was great. While buying/leasing a car always tend to take so much time, it makes it better when the Car Sales guy treats you with respect and is working TOGETHER with you towards a common goal. I got a great deal, and he even tinted the windows and gave me the GTI mats for free. Nice surprise. Will most prob consider going back for the Touareg next year when my current SUV lease is up. read more

Este lugar es el peor , tenia appt para el cambio de aceite, y no respetan los appoiment, se demoraron mas 5 horas para hacerle el mantenimiento a mi carro. Y los que llegaban sin appoiment terminaban primero, no te dan la informacion real, y el manager de mantenimiento tampoco da la cara a los clientes. Yo llame porque mi carro tenia un codigo de bajo nivel de aceite en el motor y la muchacha que me dio el appointment me dijo que podia seguir manejando el carro asi y me dio el appoiment para mas de 20 dias despues de que llame. La verdad el lugar no es para nada profesional, el staff tampoco tiene buena actitud con los clientes. Estuve mas de una hora para que me recibieran el carro y no estaban haciendo nada, estaban riendose y caminando de un lado para otro, y le dejaron el trabajo a un solo muchacho que era nuevo y tenia un monton de personas en espera. Wish I could give 0 stars for the service. I actually had a pleasant sales experience (Rob is great!) but the service department is just awful. Super rude and act like your asking them for their first born child no matter what the issue is. They apparently don't offer loaners and for the issue I had I was out a car for several days having to spend money on Uber or borrow a car from my husband leaving him to have to Uber all around Miami. Also, apparently they have no way of cleaning your car (what service department have you ever heard of that won't even give it a vacuum and whipe down) after whatever work they perform. We had to purchase a car quickly as our 2007 Jetta was totaled in an accident. We owned our previous Jetta (bought it used ). Our sales representative, Julio Fernandez, helped us with our decision on buying used vs leasing. The decision was really based on cost. We were able to add some nice perks like touch screen radio and rear camera. The whole process took less than 2 hours. Considering that I once stayed at a dealership for a "sign and drive" for six hours this was delightful. My experience at this place was less than satisfactory simply due to the salesman I had named Stewart. Inside the building he told us to follow him, but proceeded to walk into the lounge room where other workers were and oddly didn't register that we would still be following him. He said to the others in the room "I can't believe these people, they are so old school" while we were still standing in the doorway confused. What salesman talks bad about the people who he told to follow him AND were about to purchase a car?? Not a good one. Other than him it was pretty good.
