I love this bar and grill! My favorite happy hour place to go! The staff is friendly and the service is great. They return every time with what you ordered and I've never had to ask twice! The food is really good with well seasoned meats and flavorful appetizers. The chips, salsa and queso is the perfect starter to your meal. The chicken enchilada dip is so stinking good, I can make a meal of that!! But...the ribeye sliders are my favorite entree. The meat is so tender and the fried onions and au jus add the right amount of savory! The well drinks are good sized and always made just right. The bartenders are experienced and friendly. They left the original brick and wood walls, which add to the quaintness of this place. I'm told it was a doctors office originally, about 100 years ago. They have a large patio with a fire pit outside when the weather is good! You really can't go wrong here! read more

I've always wanted to be a fan of Deep Deuce Grill. It was one of the original venues in Deep Deuce and is still pretty popular. I've been going since they first opened. I like Deep Deuce but sometimes they're hit and miss on the food and service. My biggest complaint is that they did away with their bone-in wings and now only serve boneless. As far as I'm concerned, boneless wings are nothing more than chicken McNuggets with sauce added and no big arches out front. However, I must admit that the burgers and sandwiches are pretty good. The shrimp tacos and the lobster roll are both excellent. Tap beer selection could be better, plus, it's really annoying to be served craft beer in a plastic cup. What is this....a frat party? The outside patio is huge and it's a great place to go after work on a nice day. And since the patio is on the east side of the building, you get all that nice shade in the afternoon summer heat. If the weather is bad though, inside seating can be a challenge on a busy night. I like Deep Deuce, but only sometimes, and that's why I only go every couple of months. Lack of consistency in the food and service is what is disappointing, which is too bad because I really like the location.....despite the lack of giant arches out front. read more

I can't give this place an honest food review, because I rarely eat here. Not because I don't enjoy it, but because it's just not close or convenient for me. We've visited Deep Deuce a three times in last few months. Service is excellent - best we've had anywhere! Food is well seasoned and good portions. I particularly loved the Mahi tacos. During happy hours the beer specials are cheap and they offer a cheap mystery shot (bartenders choice) which is a fun experience - you even get a plastic tumbler cup to take home which they'll fill with water if you plan to be out walking around the area. Decor is cool and celebrates the history of the Deep Deuce area. A bit on the smaller side for indoor seating but they also have a large patio during moderate weather. read more

I'm upgrading my review of Deep Deuce Grill after spending some time there yesterday, as well as a few weeks ago. They really do a good job as a neighborhood bar and grill with a good patio, at affordable prices. The food has improved steadily over the years, they do a good Dagwood and the burger is good as well. The fries are great. I just also think this is a place where you have to kind of get over yourself. It's not gourmet, it's not from scratch for the most part, it's not that kind of place. It is a bar, that serves some bar-type food. The main focus for many of the guests seems to be drinking, with a few apps or light bites on the side. I'm not sure what's changed, maybe I had just ordered wrong before. I guess it's just grown on me a little bit! I'm not afraid to admit when I've been possibly to harsh on a place. I'm happy to meet friends here for a light lunch or a fun little happy hour on the sunny patio. read more

Dear Waiter, Sorry to use such a generic term-- I didn't get the chance to catch your name. I know we came out on St. Patrick's Day, and you let us know right off the bat (you know, 20 minutes after we arrived) that it got 'crazy around 6', but to us it looked like a typical Saturday. I also realized that we asked for a lot (a pitcher plus a few beers and one entree), and thus you couldn't possibly bother to bring us refills or even napkins. We apologize that we didn't do what it takes to get service (buy you shots like the table next to us), but at a bare minimum, it would've been nice to have been checked in on every 30 minutes or so. At the end, you of course let us know that you were sorry and it had been a crazy night, so all was forgiven! Sincerely, Never Going Back I know I am being hard on one waiter on a tough night, but there were 3 different servers (and at least one potential manager) on the patio that night, and no one offered to bring us a refill or check on the meal. My husband finally went to the bar so that we could have another round, and the bartender was lovely. I'm fairly certain a porta-potty would've been cleaner than the restrooms there-- all in all, I was incredibly disappointed. This is a solid neighborhood bar and grill, but it didn't blow me away. I think the 3 star yelp rating sums it up: A-OK. I had an early lunch at Deep Deuce. We met at 11:30, and the place already had about a half dozen tables seated. By the time lunch got into full swing, it was nearly full. Service was great, we were approached immediately for drink orders and had our iced tea in couple of minutes. I went with the blackened bleu cheese burger. It is (allegedly) served with Cajun spices, bleu cheese crumbles, and a bleu cheese cream. I got a ton of bleu cheese flavor, but no Cajun flavor. I regretted not ordering the Tejas burger or the Jap Jap Jap burger, both of which would have likely had some heat. So, all I had was a burger patty with a lot of bleu cheese flavor. I love bleu cheese, so this isn't all bad, but I was expecting some Cajun spices and blackening. Also, I ordered the burger medium, and it was completely cooked through. So, it was drier than it should have been. The waffle fries are good, and you get a ton of them. I didn't finish the order. But, they were overly fried, the majority of them were too crispy. They have sort of a beer type battering on them, so if they were fried for a shorter period of time, I could see them being really good. I'll return when I am having lunch in the area, but I think I'll get something else. It's a great neighborhood bar, has a solid patio, and has a decent beer selection. Deep Duece Grill is located in the historic Jazz district in downtown Oklahoma City. It is located within the newly renovated apartment complexes and is a block or so from bricktown. The highlights of Deep Duece grill are that it has a very nice fire place outside to sit around and have a beer with your friends, tv's are also outside. Inside you have a regular bar along with tables for dinning. The food is good, it has the typical food you would expect from a bar (hamburgers, hot wings, etc), but it also has some surprises, like a buffalo burger! Also although I have not tried it myself, they have this way of serving beer where it is a long plastic tube with a tap on it for you to take however much of your alchoholic beveage that you choose. Also they give you plastic cups that you can take home with you as a souvenier If your headed to downtown OKC and need a place to grab a bite to eat or want to grab a drink before an event give Deep Duece a try! read more

I'm being very generous with a rating of 2. Possibly the worst service I've had a restaurant or bar in 10 years! The food was the only redeeming value. Both the waitress and bartender had a very unprofessional attitude. We had to wait 20 minutes after ordering for drinks to be served. Then the drinks were watered down with no garnishments. Plenty of TVs, decent domestic specials, outdoor seating. But if you're looking for stand-out pub food, it's just average. Had the mac n cheese, and it was bland. The Pub Burger was sloppy and meh. Wife & three friends ordered the tacos. "too much salt" was a common complaint. I thought the pickled okra on the house salad was a nice touch. I came here after an OU game with some friends. They served us towers of beer (108oz, I believe) and we snacked on some nachos and loaded waffle fries. The snackes were really good, though they were after a lot of beer. Fun interior with exposed brick walls. Outside has a fire pit and a separate bar. Service was quick and friendly. I've been here twice now. Drinks have been nice. Had a s'mores cocktail, and could of had many. They also have an interesting selection of beers. Though can't remember what kind I had. First time I went I had their Reuben Sandwich with fries. It was OK, needed more stuff on it. More Thousand Island dressing, and maybe a little bit more sauerkraut and cheese. Last time, and I do mean my last time eating there, I had the Black and Blue Burger with fries. I only ate less than half of it, the meat was not terribly fresh. So, for drinks, yes. I got a recommendation from someone at the hotel that I should go try this burger so I decided to walk up about a quarter mile and give it a shot. The bartender was very nice and although I did not order a drink while waiting for my order to go, she was very pleasant. You can imagine my surprise when I got to my room and opened this up. Needless to say I went back there and showed the bartender a picture for which she was very apologetic and indicated that she did not tip the box while putting it in the bag. This place has character and has massively improved in the last year and a half or so thanks to new management and I think new ownership. They redecorated, revamped the menu (try the tacos or the 5 by 5 sandwich), and have done some work on the outside patio. The food here will not knock your socks off, but I think it is good. We drive from near NW OKC downtown just to eat here and take in the ambiance. The ambiance will not floor you, but it's VERY cool and a nice change of pace from the usual strip mall establishments OKC has been cursed with the last 20 years until the last few years. The parking is free, the patio is a lot of fun. And to the person up top that complained about a 20 top table- come on man. Don't have 20 people at your table. I've had at least decent service every time I've been recently. The last time I went we were outside when it was crowded and we got very good service. The only quibble is that the beer prices aren't that great. read more

One of our local gems and favorites! Whether it is a game night and you are watching the games on the big screens, or just enjoying the patio and beautiful weather, this is the place to be. All of the food is fantastic, but try the Okie Chicken Wrap, Spicy Shrimp Tacos, Burgers - and sweet potato fries. The entire menu is great. I also want to rave about the darling blonde haired waitress, Lauren. Every single time we come, she greets us with a hug and a huge smile. She is patient super friendly, makes excellent recommendations (like adding avocado to the Okie Wrap) and is so patient with us (we often are coming with multiple children in tow). We are simply regulars having lived in the Deep Deuce apartments for awhile , but she makes us feel like friends. She is a star and always makes our experience exceptional!
