When the busy season in Florida comes to an end, it doesn't mean the quality of service stops. Last night, my Father-in-Law flew in from Tennessee to enjoy a quiet week with us. He hadn't eaten much since he left very early. After we got him home and my daughters situated, I asked them all to let me know what and where they wanted to go for dinner. It didn't take them long to decide to go to Deep Lagoon Seafood and Oyster House. We were greeted in the conventional manner and asked if we had reservations. Of course, it was spur of the moment, so we did not, this didn't make any impact on our being sat within moments. Our Server was Laura Lee, who added entertainment to my 8 yr old daughter by giving her some Jokes/Riddles (which she enjoyed). The service, as always, was quick, and the food was fantastic. My FIL was beside himself with how fresh his food was, it was his first time. He enjoyed the view of the intercoastal from our table, you could see the relaxation as he sat and enjoyed his surroundings. read more

We ate here as a family (reservation for 5) on our recent trip to FL. The outdoor seating is great but since it was dark out I couldn't fully appreciate the scenery-highly recommended though! Food was good, but took quite a while for our order to be served. I had the coconut shrimp which were amazing but the tails were still on and dipped in coating so it was hard to find them to remove. I'm not a fan of eating shell. The Tritip was delicious according to my family member but the swordfish and grouper Oscar were just okay. The sides were just average and we had to ask for the bread basket which should be served to each table. For the price, I'm not convinced it was worth it. read more

We were only two so were seated away from the rail plus had a pillar blocking our view of the sunset. No big deal. The Chilli Rubbed Triple Tail was okay but I'll order something different next time. This was a wonderful spot for a date night out! We came here to celebrate me becoming a dietitian and it did not disappoint. I had oysters on the half shell, lobster pasta and the lychee martini. The oysters were fresh and not fishy at all. The pasta was decadent and delicious and the lychee martini was refreshing! The view was beautiful over the water. We will definitely be back! read more

We were there for dinner January 22. We made reservations for 8 of us. We wanted to sit on the deck and asked if it would be warm. They assured us it would be. It was not. It was very cold. I encouraged my guest to get the hog fish Since we both had it for lunch the previous week. It was not as good as the lunch portion and actually was smaller cut up pieces and rather dry. (fish was room temperature at best on a bed of caked-mush of jasmine rice) & Captain's Platter $40. (ordered blacked but served steamed) Ordered two glasses of Sangria, one white & one red (tasted like a cheap watered down wine with a half slice of orange & a cherry; worse sangria we've ever had). A $130. meal could not have been, more disappointing. On a good note, the view could be nice, "if" you have a seat along the edge overlooking the water, we didn't. Waitress did her part although busy. We've ate at Farlow's On the Water and (our opinion) hands down the better restaurant in the area. read more

I have been there a few times, but it has progressively gotten worse each time. Service is not so good and the food not on par with other restaurants in the area. The one saving grace and the reason I return is the nice location...except when red tide is in the air (not their fault obviously). Just grab a table inside. I really want to like this place, looks cool but the food is average. Appetizers are well below average. My advise, skip them and go for main course and dessert (money is better spent there). read more

Our first time to this restaurant. It is a beautiful location with great views of the bay. The staff were so attentive -maybe too much so as they came by our table many times during the meal. My friend had the grouper sandwich and I had a bowl of the gumbo and a caesar salad. Both of us were very disappointed at the quality of our meals.
