When we first arrived we were seated right away and given waters immediately by our lovely host, after being seating it took 15 minutes for our waiter to even look at us and when she did she said "Do you know what you want to drink?", this was our first interaction. It took about 20 minutes to receive our wine and when she brought it to us she never let us taste the wine before pouring it, which I have never experienced at any other winery. After leaving it took an extra 10 minutes to receive our order of French fries, luckily the water machine was right next to us so whenever we needed a refill we could just get up and get it ourselves! We almost asked them to not even bring out the bread because it had been 45 minutes after ordering before it came to our table. I think we would have been more understanding if it was a busy night but it was the complete opposite. I could have driven all the way to Napa, been served, eaten a full meal, then home with my teeth brushed in bed by 8, but instead I'm at Shadowbrook waiting for my bread. Overall the food was great, the wine was excellent but the service was absolutely horrific! We felt overlooked and unwelcome from the start. Our server barely acknowledged us and gave the impression that we weren't worth her time while serving others next to us with enthusiasm. Unfortunately the 20% service charge did it for me, I wouldn't mind paying if it was worth it, if I could tip our waitress less I would.

The place had a rustic, bright, cozy, cottage vibe, and the sunflower decorations near the windows and on the ceiling by the skylight that further brightened up the space. There were a bunch of homemade items, like different types of honey, salt, olive oils, etc., and items like biscoff mixes in bags and risotto mixes in mason jars in the back which were really cute. There was glassware by the windows, but the products looked pretty food-centric. I got a small jar of lavender honey and risotto mix, and was asked if I wanted some tea after the purchase. I said sure, and turns out they already had three different types of teas they've made using teas that they were selling. So I sat down in one of the seats along the window inside, and ended up having a little cafe time. There were other groups of people in the outside seats having tea parties as well. During my little cafe time, I got to talk to some people working there including Hollie herself, and felt like I had a great little getaway from my daily life. They even gave me a fresh branch of mint straight from Hollie's garden to take home with me. Looks like they do wine tastings there, host wine clubs, and host a variety of events, and I definitely plan on going back to check them out too!

The Bhachus are gracious hosts in sharing this magical space because every time I've visited, there is always something new and different to admire. I respect how much love and care they've invested into property, with such impeccable taste. Being able to run ideas and have open conversations with Barbara helped make this journey of being a bride so empowering. I never thought of myself as a "creator" but that truly changed the moment I was able to cultivate a wonderful day in sharing this very intimate aspect of my life with loved ones. Each time I have asked about a low alcohol wine the staff does not seem familiar with the question or a wine. Example of low alcohol wines would be Meiomi bright Pinot Noir, Arlow Cabernet Sauvignon, Bread and butter sliced chardonnay, Decoy featherweight , butter light chardonnay ect. They need to get familiar with low alcohol wines and start carrying inventory of the product.

Incredibly fair prices for a glass of sparkling, like I can't even believe that I'm getting away with this cost.
