It's not a free service, the least you can do is greet your customers in a way that feels them welcomed! 2 months ago, i took my wife to Deeva for her haircut along with her eyebrows & upper lip and she totally loved the work. It was her first visit outside India and the overall experience was good. We went again last month for her eyebrows and she was attended by a different person and the next day, she had pains near her eyes as some of the skin seemed to have been ripped and there were few rashes. We did not report as we thought we will ensure the same person does not do it from next time! And for our final visit, we were in for a surprise when the Owner seemed totally unapologetic, harsh to accept that this could have happened at her salon! When i narrated that the last visit was not good and we do not want the same professional to attend to my wife, she stated that it is because my wife may not sat properly during the process and might have been "moving" while her brows were being attended to!!! ... She went ahead and even told that her professional has 9 years of experience and knows her work!!! Well, i had proof and when i showed some pics of the last week; she quickly stated that I should have come back when this happened and cry it out after a month! We did not go back to sue or get some compensation or free service but if an Owner cannot even accept or hear out their customers, i am sorry to say that it will be our last visit! I went to Deeva Salon to get my eyebrows and upper lips done. This was my first visit to Deeva and when I entered and asked that could you please wear a mask and lady said no we do not wear mask here and we do not have a mask, I even told her that am expecting, anyway she didn't wear a mask. I asked her to do my eyebrows and will skip upper lips because of her not wearing mask. Then I saw her putting thread in her mouth whole time while doing my eyebrows, at the end I asked her that do not you think it is unhygienic because you are holding thread inside your mouth and doing the eyebrows she told me that is how we do it and have been doing like this for last 6 years and only during 1 year of covid we avoided it otherwise that is how we do it. At the end I told her to please think about it and maintain at least basic hygiene. Last, she did not put any cream or anything on my eyebrows after doing it and I saw there was one cut on my eyebrow and she did not inform me. First she didn't hear what I said and kept arguing that I only said threading. Well that was not the worst part. I told her that I wear contacts and need the threading slowly, she didn't even hear that.. I was literally in tears.. And while I was wiping off those, she wanted me to pay.. I mean that was the heights!! And when I told her I needed a minute, she actually said she had other customers waiting... Ms. Ruby, I hope this is not the kind of business you wanted to run.. I was new to the area and was looking for an eyebrow threading place. I was excited to find a place that was so cheap, but I should have gone elsewhere and paid more. Not worth paying less for having horrible eyebrows for a few days. I called ahead of time and said I wanted an appointment for eyebrow threading and was told it is first come first serve and that you can't make an appointment. I asked how late they were open for the day and mentioned that I would stop by in 15 minutes. When I arrive, the receptionist (to whom I had spoke to on the phone) said, "We are not taking anymore people for eyebrows today." And then just looked back at her screen and didn't say sorry, didn't ask me to come back tomorrow morning, or anything. First of all, she could have just told me on the phone that they likely wouldn't be able to fit me in for the day. Second of all, she could have been nice about the fact that they couldn't fit me in today but that perhaps I could stop by again tomorrow. I went back the next day and was seen a few minutes after I arrived. The lady that did my brows didn't seem to understand me, I don't even know if she spoke English. She hastily threaded my brows and then handed me a mirror to check out her work. I was shocked at how uneven and thin my brows looked and didn't know how they could be fixed. I ended up having to let my brows grow out and then go elsewhere to have them shaped properly. read more

This place is what nightmares are made of, had gone for hair-cut along with a friend and got the worst haircut of my life. It was all uneven and choppy without any shape although I made it very clear what I wanted and the hairdresser seemed to understand. The hairdresser had very shaky hands and that made things worse (not sure if she was not well that day) I would have appreciated if the people who manage this place gave her some rest and told some other hairdresser to do my hairs. The salon is best avoided and even though its relatively cheap its still not worth the mental agony of a poor and uneven haircut. A BIG SKIP AND THUMBS DOWN!!! Go and spend some more and get a proper haircut, I cant wait for my hairs to grow up :'( read more

Today i went to deeva salon after getting recommendation from one of my good friend. I had a very good experience there. Ruby is real gem. I got waxing ( full legs+under arms+full arma) ,eyebrows and upperlips done from her and its was not that painfullI . Got my haircut done from Maria. I al definitely satisfying and writing again. I went to deeva salon back in june 2014 and had bad experience but today I am so mich satisfied with their services that i would say its worth trying again guys. read more

This review is for their threading services. Be ready to pay more than what is advertised on their website. I paid $24 for face & brow threading and according to the advertised price it's $20 for this service (the price is very reasonable don't get me wrong but it's the principal of running a honest business) I think she had a walk-in client after me because it seem like she was rushing to finish with me even though I had an appointment. When I got home I notice a few hair on the side of my face was not removed. Not totally impressed with their threading services and business ethics. Also the stylist that was next booth to me was fully engaged in a breast feeding conversation with her client... WTH!!! I went to Deeva salon as I got an immediate appointment on that day. Their service was average . I wanted to do a temp straightening ( ironing). I did a hair wash at home before I went there . I asked them how much would they charge before they started and she was like they would charge additional money to dry the hair as it was wet. Deeva salon is the best threading and waxing salon that I have been to! I go to school in New York, and whenever I come back to Seattle, I ALWAYS get my eyebrows done here. No one else does them better. There is a reason the salon is always filled with customers. I don't know why there are poor reviews. I got my threading done recently and who ever did it - did a very sloppy job...She arch-shaped one of my eyebrows and round-shaped the other one and when I politely pointed out the same, she did not even respond back with a sorry as a courtesy...I had a very similar experience to what most others have pointed to here - they are absolutely non-responsive to criticisms and unapologetic...For the same price, I have gotten much better service at other salons.. read more

They advertise that they are open from 11a.m to 8.p.m on weekdays. I went to the salon at 11.30 this morning, and told the receptionist that I would like go get my eyebrows and upper lips done. Her response, "she (the lady who does eyebrows) won't be here until 2.00p.m". I asked her if there is anyone else who can help me. She said there is only one person who does eyebrows, and he won't be at the parlor before 2.00p.m. This jus shows how much they care about their customers and how professional they are. I had tried to book an appointment via there website for eyebrows a couple of months back, but they don't take appointments just for eyebrows. We just have to show up, and wait in the line. So, this time, instead of calling for an appointment, I just showed up, to find out that I will have to be back at 2.00 (i.e. if I want my eyebrows done at Deeva). WASTE OF TIME. Went there today to get my eyebrows done. The lady literally injured my eyelids. Moreover, she did not care to ask if I wanted my eyebrows as thin as she made them. I also got my upper lips done (which i now repent) - the salon lady did not care to do it properly. I told her 4 times to do upper lips and eyebrows properly by showing her the spots which she did not go over. I will never go there again. Please save your time and don't get lured by cheap rates. I was new to the town and had gone to this salon around 2 weeks back with my friend. We were there to get our eyebrows threaded. Both of us had a bad experience with the lady who attended us. She was somewhere in her 40's(or even older) & I do not know her name(never bothered to ask). She has a serious attitude problem and was so RUDE, never bothered to attend my request. I was new to the neighborhood, went to have my little girls hair cut. Maria was the stylist. She speaks little english. I told her I wanted a bob cut and not too short. But she started to make uneven layer and with big drop between layers on one side, I did see the skin under the hair on one side. At one point my kids hair looked like a wet rooster's feathers. When I started to point out, the owner asked another stylist to correct. My poor girl walked in with hair touching her shoulders came out having a skinny boyish hair cut. My girl was so upset that all the girls and boys in her class will make fun of her. Pros : They have an airplane kids chair. They gave 50% (not sure because of the screw up) Cons : Zero Customer service, Owner never gave any apology, was commanding the staff and added she gave the same hair style to her niece. read more
