A few days after we met and I signed the contract, the team came out to remove old roof debris left over from a recent reroofing, removed our home's original insulation, and installed fresh batt insulation in both the attic and crawlspace. They also added rodent proofing throughout the attic while they were at it. About a month later we heard critter noises, so I texted them and they came out to inspect. He didn't find anything in the traps but reset them to be safe. Sure enough, something took the bait because we heard it go off! Jose came back shortly after and discovered 2 mice (thankfully no rats), found a gap where the roof met the garage and sealed it up. He ran an ozone generator as a precaution for any smells. A couple weeks after that we heard faint sounds again. Jose returned, found one more entry point, sealed it, and since then there's been total silence! I really appreciated how thorough and persistent they were even after the job was technically done. Solid team, fair price, and they stand behind their work. Highly recommend Attic Kings!

Not only did Attic King give me the best bid, they went way above and beyond to coordinate the work with me, as I live out of the area. The communication was always prompt, and all my questions were answered with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. On the first day the crew worked an extremely long day removing all the old insulation and ducting, completely cleaning and sanitizing the attic, and installing all new ducting. They sealed every entry point they could find where rodents were getting into the attic . Then they laid traps and waited several days to come back and make sure no more rodents were getting in before they blew in the new insulation. Throughout the entire job, their representative Ofek kept me informed of progress and included pictures at each stage of the job. In an era when Customer Service seems to be a dying art, it's nice to know there's a company that puts the customer first and backs it with excellent workmanship. I could not recommend them more highly!

Above All Roofing Company - Oates Country Store composition roof done by Above All Roofing

I am a local realtor and I needed an emergency roof inspection because I was trying to meet my…read moretimelines. The first roofing company screwed me over and gave me no useful information on a roof inspection other than a handful of pictures and a couple lines that said they cannot make any recommendations or certifications because they didn't work on the type of roof (tar and gravel, older home) that was on this house that I needed inspected (look for my review of the Roof Doctors if you are interested). Long story short is I needed a some sort of roof inspection with useful information to pass on to my clients, so I decided to call Above All Roofing Company. Justin is one of the owners who took over for his father who started the company. I explained the situation to him on the phone and he said explain to me that pretty much very few roofing companies will certify or repair tar and gravel roofs now days and that the best thing is to just replace it when it's time. Even though he did not work on those roofs either, he was willing to go over to the house to look at the roof and give me his two cents about it the following day. After he checked the roof out he called me (I couldn't answer), so he text me his findings. Basically the roof is old, has some rusted flashing and areas around the flashing had been patched in the past. Overall, looked ok at this time, but couldn't guarantee life of the roof. The best thing was to replace the roof with current methods (rolled roofing) which to convert over was a lot of work. Of course he is in business to make money, but he was honest and said the roof may hold up for a few more years. He did offer a written quote on a new roof replacement and did not charge my clients a roof quote inspection fee to help save us some money! They are also solar certified so, they are certified to disconnect, remove and reinstall your solar panels to repair your roof. This will save you some time and headache from dealing with your solar company or maybe your solar company went out of business like mine did. Justin knows how to run a successful business! Just be honest and don't try to nickel and dime potential customers! If anyone is looking for a roofer, give Above All Roofing Company a call! If any realtors are out there reading this, give them a shot for your roofing inspection!

As a first time homeowner big projects such as a new roof felt so daunting. The crew worked diligently and finished up in two days, and that included new gutters as well! The crew also did a great job cleaning up. We love the look of our new roof, and now we just need to paint to match. The seamless gutters were such a nice addition to our new roof as well. We needed a little bit of dry rot repaired, and they communicated that early on so we were not surprised. This being a locally owned business was also a nice detail. Definitely would recommend!

Gabriel, the owner, came out to do the…read moreinspection himself, and gave me tons of information about the differences and the pros and cons of each type insulation, and giving us a quote on the spot. We initially agreed to have both the attic and the crawl space insulated. When I told Gabriel that the kitchen fan is currently venting into the attic, and that we need to find a roofer to make a hole to vent it outside, he offered to connect the fan to an existing fan, at no charge. We later changed our minds about the attic and decided to just have the crawl space insulated for the time being. But Gabriel insisted on fixing the kitchen vent anyway, even though his men no longer needed to climb in the attic at all. I protested, but he said he'd agreed to do it, so he will, still at no cost. I was flabbergasted by his generosity. The three young men who work for him were all sweet, polite, and arrived early, and left the place spotless, both inside and out. (As opposed to another company whose inspector left muddy footprints all over the beige carpet, even after I laid down some newspapers.) I can't recommend Gabriel and his company enough. He treats his customers as if we were family. Oh, and there's ALWAYS a nice secretary, Jesiemae, who answers the phone and books you an appointment on the spot. No annoying voicemail tags. Thank you, Gabriel and your staff, for letting us start the new year in a warmer house!

I was initially impressed with what seemed like a thorough and well-considered estimate. It felt…read morelike the team really evaluated my attic and cooling needs. The addition of two QuietCool fans also seemed like a major plus, as I was already familiar with the product and expected it would significantly help with cooling. When it came to the insulation work, I was very pleased. The crew did an excellent job removing the old insulation and installing the new. They worked efficiently, protected my floors well, and ensured that no insulation debris entered the living areas. That part of the job was handled professionally. However, I was less impressed with the radiant barrier installation. This may partly be due to a misunderstanding on my end, as I expected a different type of material, but the end result did not meet my expectations. The biggest issue, unfortunately, was the installation of the fans. At best, it was very poorly executed. The fans are 16" units with 12" duct openings, yet they were installed directly against the gables, which severely restricts airflow. Proper installation should have included a box or shroud to help direct airflow effectively through the fans. Because of this poor airflow, the fans do not cool the attic--in fact, they appear to make things worse. I can actually watch the temperature on the thermostat increase when the fans are turned on. I reached out to my representative multiple times, but the response was disappointing. I was told they could not take the fans back, and when I asked why the attic temperature increases when they are running, I was told there was no explanation and nothing further could be done. As temperatures continue to rise, I'm left frustrated that I spent $1,200 on two fans that perform the opposite of what was promised, with no meaningful support or resolution offered. UPDATE: After posting my initial review, I was contacted by both the project manager and the owner. I reiterated the reasons for my frustration, explaining that my review reflected my honest impression of what I saw as a lack of clear communication and effective management of the project and customer expectations. The project manager apologized for the communication breakdown and asked if I would be open to giving them an opportunity to make things right. A technician was then sent out, and he took the time to fully understand the issue, carefully examine the installation, and make several adjustments to the original work. He believes these changes will help improve airflow in the attic. Since my attic has some unique characteristics, he also provided helpful suggestions for additional ways to improve cooling and airflow--something I feel should have been addressed during the initial planning stage of the project. Whether these changes will result in significant improvement remains to be seen; I'll have a better sense once the weather warms up. I do appreciate the follow-up and the willingness of the project manager to reach out and try to make things right, and I have updated my review accordingly. That said, I want to be clear that the increase in my rating is largely due to the technician and the time he invested in evaluating the full situation, as well as both implementing and proposing thoughtful solutions.

Perhaps lucky for us, they were able to install in less than a week. Carrier brand equipment, which uses variable speed technology from Toshiba. A crew of four completed almost all the work in one day. Our existing ducts were not being replaced (both A-1 and another bidder saw no reason to replace them whereas the third bidder wanted to replace them at great cost). Nevertheless, fairly substantial sections of the ducts were indeed replaced in connecting to the new system. All the work was really well done, neatly and with complete clean-up and disposal of the old materials. Ducts were completely insulated, including new insulation on old sections. A-1 also pulled the permit, arranged the needed post-installation duct test and the final City inspection.
