I originally came in for a wax with Natalie. Waxing with her was very easy and as painless as possible and the results were incredible. I really only had hair growth after a month and even then it was so minimal! She did such an excellent job with my wax, and I ended up coming in for a facial today! Natalie has the softest touch and it was absolutely relaxing. She was very clear and concise with every step that she took, and carefully explained each product that she used on me as well as the equipment that she used. I feel so refreshed and relaxed after this facial, which is such a blessing, considering past facials, have left me in pain, and sometimes stressed out! The staff is so kind which makes this one star review difficult to post and is solely for their laser hair removal. While undergoing treatment I didn't notice any reduction in hair.. figured I just needed more sessions but when I had completed all my sessions I didn't have any hair loss what's so ever. I love this place! They do facials, hair, makeup, hair removal, cosmetic tattoo, ear candling, the whole shebang! I really like the staff because they are genuinely friendly. They will give me tips, advice, and tutorials for whatever I'm interested in. They will explain to me what they are doing and are always happy to answer my questions. The thing I like the most is that they introduce me to new products, but I never feel obligated or pressured to buy anything. I was introduced to this place by a promotion. I've come here for laser hair removal, a makeover, and facials. I've continued to come here for the facials. Melissa gives me my facials and she is so sweet. I feel so comfortable around her and it's so easy to relax. The only thing about this place is the parking is hard to find. I circle around for street parking every time. I just did an eyelash perm with Julie and she explained it quite well what was happening and what I myself needed to do. I have came here for also waxing which is nice and fun as well too :) This spa is pretty gorgeous with lots of products to look at and see. I haven't done any of the facial treatments yet, but I will soon and keep you updated about this place. I bought a Livingsocial voucher for 3 laser hair removal for $89. What a deal right? HELL NO, IT IS NOT. I bought it since Sept 2011, I can't get an appt to redeem this damn voucher. The RN only works Tues/Thurs during work hour and Only 1 sat /month. I am sorry, but people work. I finally get my appt today. Guess what, I got nothing done. Not only she was 25 minutes late for my appt. she was not able to service me because (1) I did not shave the nite before (2) I am tan-"you will get burn". What the hell??? I am suppose to know this. They had the balls to give me attitude and say "did you tell us about your tan or I am sure she told you to shave right". as if the customer would purposely try to not be serviced. It is so insulting. RN is not available next month. My deal expired in March 2012. I can't redeem my damn deal. They also get your credit card on file when you make appt. So on top of this, they won't try to work with you to fix this problem. They told me "sorry that you are not happy. call livingsocial to get you refund...so I did, guess what? The Spa redeemed my voucher. This is the most unprofessional, shaddy place I have ever been to. I will tell all my friends who enjoys their spa time. This place sucks so much. It is my fault for trying to get a deal. I should stick with my high end spas I would like to add on to my review. I think it is wonderful that Deja Vu read their comment. I actually had one sent from their management today. I would like everyone to read it. Does it sound like this is a great place to go to? Not only Barbara does not take responsibility for the problem I encountered. She blamed the customer. I love it. She has great customer skills and shows great skills in retaining customers. My 3rd time here and this was for a body mud wrap. My appt was with Melissa. I've never had a body mud wrap before so I am glad to say I actually enjoyed it. Melissa was nice. She explained what she was doing during the body mud wrap. She also made me coffee which was good. They had the keurig coffee machine and so many different k-cup flavors to try. i decided to try the kahlua. From all the times I've been here, I've never had a bad experience. Everyone is just so nice over there. I also like that as soon as I walk in, they recognize me and know who I am. I would definitely recommend this place. I am so glad I bought that promo card. I have been coming to this place for years now and I have NEVER once been disappointed by anything I get done at this spa. I usually book my appt ahead of time because Julie is often fully booked. There are times when I am in urgent need and she will squeeze me in. Also for the other reviewers who are complaining about the cancellation fee, I am sorry but I know of a lot of places that charges a cancellation fee if you cancel the day of ie doctors office, dentists, day spas, etc. so stop crying about it. Its not a big deal. Do you complain about the bank charging an overdraft fee because you overdrew your acct too?? Just like everyone else they are just doing their JOB and its a business. Julie is my go to girl, she is super talented and does EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING. I always get compliments on my hair. Everyone loves the color. All of my friends and my whole family all goes to Julie now. Even strangers on the streets they stop me and ask me who my hairstylist is. She also does GREAT eyelashes and facials and waxes and anything too can think of. Her staff is very friendly and always has a smile on their faces. I bought this promotion card for myself and my mom (5 visits, for $80 or so, the second one was $50).I was a little hesitant after I bought the card, because the initial reviews were very mixed. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The reason why they're not a full 5 stars in my book, is because the laser appt which is a part of the promotion card is very hard to come by. it looks like you have to book far in advance since the lady is only in the first Saturday of every month. So far, I've had the: Microdermabrasion: I explained my skin's conditions, my concerns, and what type of results I hope to get from the treatment. It was great! Melissa was very concerned with my concerns, which is refreshing. She talked me through the entire process, and my skin has never been better! Mud Wrap: Basically, it's warm mud which has a thick-lotion type of consistency applied to your entire body. They massage it into your skin, let you sit in a warm bed and come back to wipe it off. I've never had one before, but it was definitely very relaxing! *I subbed the laser appt for a foot detox, which was interesting. The machine detoxes your body, and the color of the water afterwards corresponds to what was removed - there is a chart to reference. Express Facial: You can upgrade to a European facial for $20, so that's what I did. Again, Melissa remembered my skin concerns (they write notes on their clients, which I think is smart so you don't have to start all over every time you go). Again, very relaxing. I have the hair appt next week, so we'll see how that goes although I have no doubt it'll be fine. AND my mom really enjoyed her visits too! They were very accommodating. Wow, I do not know how I lived so long without Julie...She is AMAZING!!!!! I drive about 30 minutes to get here because I will not go anywhere else. Julie is so friendly and easy to talk to and I feel so comfortable with her. I get routine facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, laser hair removal, foot detox and a bunch of other amazing things that I don't even know the names of! They have some of the best technology and treatments and I have really seen a big difference in my skin....She also gives the most amazing neck and shoulder massages after your facial that you forget any chemical peel pain you just had! haha.... I also was very surprised about a couple of the reviews for this business because my experiences have been the polar opposite! I have had my hair cut and colored by Julie for about a year now and never have had a less than amazing experience! She has also become my wax specialist (and I say "specialist" because I've had facial waxes in Beverly Hills and a couple of the South Bay beach areas and have been less-than-pleased with the results). She is consistently good and I have never had to ask her to either shape my eyebrows correctly or one of my pet-peeves - when the technician cannot see that she is leaving hairs that I have to pluck when I get home! From Melanie at the reception desk to Barbara the owner, I have been extremely pleased with the service, quality of products and most of all warm and friendly atmosphere. After all the first thing people notice about you are your appearances. I recently came in to get my hair color done at Deja Vu and as always Julie does a great job with my hair. For those who want to do their hair and don't know what they want, Julie will take the time to explain things to you and what she will be doing, as well as making suggestions to what will look good too. Bottom line you will not be disappointed with the final results, you will want to come back again. As for the customer service, i have no complaints about it. Al ll the employees are friendly and greet you well. For your convenience they offer coffee,tea or water while you are waiting or being serviced. Aside of getting my hair done, i have also had my eye brows waxed,facial and massage. Irma the masseuse gives one of the best massages, she gets to the problematic area, you will leave feeling better, more relaxed. I am extremely disappointed with this place, and would like to recommend to EVERYONE to stay away from it! I purchased a Living Social deal for this business for three laser hair removal sessions. I was eager to begin, and went to my first appointment almost immediately. I received my first session and was told to return 3 months later. I spoke with the manager and told her that I was currently attending another laser hair removal place, and that I won't be back in three months, but when I am through with the sessions there. She told me not to worry, and that since they already REDEEMED my voucher for 3 laser hair removal sessions, I was already in their system, and that they were going to honor the deal. (Since you know, they already got paid for it). Today I called back and spoke with Melanie (who was confirming with the manager Julie Lyle), who told me that since I called back after the voucher has expired, they would not honor my request for the 2 sessions left over. I was surprised to hear that, because clearly they already redeemed the voucher and got paid through Living Social for THREE laser hair removal sessions, I was already in the system, and now they regret to inform me that too-bad-so-sad you're not getting your other 2 sessions? I think not. I contacted LivingSocial and if that doesn't resolve things, I am planning on referring to the Better Business Bureau. This conduct is unacceptable. If you do not like to be tricked or treated fraudulently, stay away from Deja Vu Med Spa. read more

For mother's day, I was given a discount package card. It's one of those deals where you pay $60 for the card and when you go to use the different services offered on the card, you pay only gratuity and the service is free. They offered some pretty enticing specials...30 min sweedish massage, professional make-up application, haircut & blowout, etc, etc... I was going to a wedding so I thought it would be perfect to use the card and get my hair and makeup done for the wedding and only have to pay gratuity! I decided to make an appt just for a blowdry and style since I didn't know the hairdresser and don't really trust anybody cutting my hair. I made the make-up appt right after the hair appt (which cost extra because w/the deal you can't have 2 appts in one day). I gave the hairdresser a pic of what I wanted my hair to look like...loose waves like "Jessica Biel" look. She took me to wash my hair (looong hair to lower back) and didn't use conditioner. When she was done, she began to brush my hair grabbing it like a ponytail and ripping the knots out since there was no conditioner applied. She must have used half a can of hairspray in my hair with the curling iron...my hair was smoking with each ringlet she put in. The finished product was a crunchy long haired shirley temple look. I was extremely unhappy and kindly let the hairdresser know my frustration throughout the process. Thank God I didn't let her cut my hair! On to the makeup...what a joke! The foundation was splotchy and not evened out, there was no attempt to use mascara at all...I don't know much about makeup but could have done a better job myself! I don't know if they give you the "new girl" for the appts on these package deals, but it sure isn't a way to try to attract new clients. I received a gift card for a haircut and microdermabrasion. My first appointment was with Julie for a haircut. She did a great job. I have long hair and needed a trim for some volume. She didnt cut more than i had asked her to and gave me really nice layers. I was a bit apprehensive getting my hair cut here because of the reviews but I am glad i decided to try her. I went back for microdermabrasion and it was a pretty good experience. The staff is enthusiastic here and I would give them 5 stars if it wasnt for the sales pitch. Julianne or Julie as I call her does amazing facials, waxing, and hair treatments. I have LOTS of long and fine hairs and Julie always does the best highlights for me. I have never had my hair break off. Also, Julie always suggest the greatest treatments that can help my hair stay soft and less damaged. I love the conditioning treatment she does for me, it leaves my hair soft, shiny and less tangled. The other staff that work at Deja Vu Med Spa are also very kind and approachable. My first visit to Deja Vu med spa was back in February 2014 & although I had a great experience, I waited this long to write a review. Priscilla has been doing my facials now for over a year & I couldn't be happier w/the results. I have very sensitive (aging ) skin & have been to many other spas for facial treatments, all usually with no significant difference or results. Priscilla has always been very thorough & informative. She always gives me her recommendations for ideal facials for my type of skin & answers any questions I have. She has also helped me selecting skin care products that have benefited my skin. Most recently I got the Vi peel & a few weeks later a sensi peel, not very pleasant facials the results have been great. Although I've only had my treatments done by Priscilla, Julie has also been very nice & helpful. I moved to the SF Valley a few years back & to avoid the drive, I tried a couple of other hair stylists near my area- they were not even close to Julie's hair cutting quality! Instead, I opt to drive an hour (or more depending on traffic) to ensure I'm happy with whatever I get!
