    Gator balls

Visited in the early afternoon on a Saturday. Super chill, Emily was a good bar tender, she made my marg delicious. Ate the shrimp etouffee and the gator balls - both 10/10!

Posting for locals, prices/menu pictures didn't seem updated from what I could find online

    Their 9.99 salad!!!

If I could give negative stars I would!!! We have been staying right next to this place for years, on vacations. Yesterday we went in and were told repeatedly by the bar tender how downhill the place has gone. We were in denial! We paid way too much for a bloody mary...but tonight, we ordered salads, at 9.99 each. When my husband picked them up, they were packaged in a box that was worth 50 cents...for 9.99!!!! We are sick that this place is doing what they are doing. So disgusting!!! We will NEVER go to this place again! They have lost the business of us. Again, we have been going to this place for years! NEVER AGAIN!!!! 9.99!!!

Good olé Deja Vu! It's such a dive but a reliable stand by for us locals who love to hang out in the quarter. The food is good -nothing fancy but decent enough to keep going back from time to time. They do sell breakfast all day which is nice. On my last visit I had the grilled chicken entree with veggies. It comes with grilled onions and mushrooms on top of the chicken. It's good. I also like their turkey burger, obviously a frozen patty but good enough that I've ordered it several times. Staff is always friendly and attentive.

classic breakfast and biscuits and gravy

we stopped here to grab some breakfast, since it was around the corner from our hotel. We got in sat right down. It was much nicer looking inside compared to the outside. They seemed to have a lively bar, with lots of people drinking and watching football. There were lots of people in there eating breakfast as well. We ordered a classic type of breakfast and Biscuits and gravy. We ordered right away, but it took a while to get the food. In the meantime, they kept out drinks ( coffee and water) filled. The classic breakfast was pretty ordinary, I didn't care for the biscuits and gravy, very little flavor and it was $11! I forget how much the breakfast was (maybe $14) very ordinary and over-priced.

Kind of out of the way, quiet bar that serves food. Kitchen was open. Walking distance from the Hyatt Centric. Three booths and a few tables. The server was very chill and friendly, good energy from her. I only had the red beans and rice and water. My husband had the club sandwich. His sandwich was HUGE. He was only able to finish half. No fries. He said it was good. My red beans and rice were good too. Nothing spectacular but not bad either. We ate at 10pm-ish. We were the only ones there when we walked in. A couple and a man walked and sat at the bar soon after. We sat at a booth. The seats were sticky. You know, how when stuff needs to be given a good scrubbing. The table was better, but my arms would stick a little bit to it too. All that I could overlook. I was hungry, it was open and I hadn't eaten since 1pm. I wanna be clear that what I ate that night there was the only thing I ate that evening. The only other thing that I had eaten that day was at about 1pm. A few hours later, at about 4am, I had the worst abdominal pain and without going into details, I was up for a couple of hours in the bathroom. Throwing up AND the other end too. I was in pain and in bad shape until about 8pm. Was it the food? I don't know, but my guess, as a medical professional of many years, says probably. It was too bad cuz that took me out for a whole day of my vacation time in New Orleans. This was a first experience of its kind in the many times that I've been to new Orleans. A trip that I will not soon forget.

We had breakfast at Deja Vu on a mid Sunday morning. I had biscuits and sausage gravy with a cup of coffee, others had eggs with hash and eggs with ham. The biscuits tasted homemade and the gravy was hot and delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked over easy but the hash was canned version which was ok. Service was very friendly, I would definitely go back. They have 3 slot machines so diner's must be 21 to enter the restaurant.

Chicken finger platter with French fries

Bar food. Typical end of the night, I need to saturate my stomach after drinking, bar food. This place seems good for just that. We came in for early dinner and chose it because to the closest place to the one we'd chosen that was unexplainably closed. The service was great, food was fast, and everything we ordered had lots of breading. Fried pickles were mostly fried and not much pickle. Onion rings were also lots of breading and flavor but not much onion, but the one in my party who ordered them said they were some of the best onion rings ever. My chicken finger platter was loaded with fries and the chicken was good...but again, it was surrounded by lots of breading. There as a grilled chicken option, as well as steamed vegetables and several salad options. So I could have gone healthier, but I didn't.

I'm not sure about parking as I walked to the brewery on my recent visit. This brewery has a great feel that hearkens back to a cozy neighborhood pub - eclectic seating divided between a couple of rooms with a small bar and a simple setup including around 9-10 taps. I felt right at home. Flights included four 5 ounce pours for $19. Food is mostly supplied by Shift Kitchen but you're basically invited to bring in anything you want. I tried the following: * 90s Women's Power Ballads - IPA - New England / Hazy 6.6% ABV - Pretty decent hazy NEIPA, Guiyang body with notes of citrus, finishes hoppy and a touch floral. 4/5 * Tenant - Bitter/Best 4.1% ABV - Very nice sweet malty bitter, notes of toasted bread, slightly toasted peanut, finishes appropriately dry and somewhat mildly bitter. 4/5 * Mr. Words Is A Monster - Pilsner/Other 5.5% - Interesting XPA, crisp body, hint of orange peel finishing hoppy, hint of pine and black pepper. 4/5 * I Am A Donut - Sour - Berliner Weisse 4.2% - Light bodied sour, fruity body with notes of sweet mango. 4/5 * Notice Me Senpai - Porter - Imperial / Double 8.1% - Tasty porter with notes of dark chocolate, English toffee and roasty coffee, almost creamy body finishing dry. 4/5 In general all the beer I indulged in were good, I think this is probably the best brewery I tried in my recent trip to New Orleans. The guy behind the counter was super friendly and knowledgeable, able to answer all my questions. I could tell this was a local spot - I engage in conversation with a few of the patrons and they mostly lived nearby. This is a top-notch hangout with a great local vibe.

I, of course, had to have an IPA and I got in as a 0.5L (closest to a pint). The flavor was good with a good hoppy taste to it. This is a great place to chill with friends and enjoy some nice beers. Unlike most breweries, I don't think Courtyard has a signature beer, there are no standards Jucifer or Paradise Park. They just make new stuff all the time, then run out of it, and brew something else. I think I have seen Sonic Youth in 1983 there more than once so maybe that's the closest thing. Regardless I am saying this as a good thing because every time I go, there is something knew. Courtyard is like the ultimate dive bar of breweries. There is a pop-up style kitchen that has held a variety of eateries over the years that used to include Burger Nerds and now has a taco place. There is mismatch furniture throughout the indoors and front courtyard. Most of the seating looks like they robbed a daycare. There is a couple of tv's, a piano, bullfighting art, an eclectic record collection and tons of plants outside. All of this gives Courtyard it's charm. The people are awesome, the place is comfortable and the beer is always great.

The walk there was pretty easy...I was concerned it might get a little dicey by the interstate underpass but it really didn't. My bar is usually pretty low for breweries because they are usually run on a shoestring by a group of guys that really love beer but don't always know how to run a business. This place is a weird, eclectic vibe. The furniture and overall vibe is pretty dumpy. The bar is even super wobbly. The beer list they have online indicating it is their current list was in no way related to the beer selection they actually had available. It was super limited with a lot of IPAs and sours. Not my jam. The is a food vendor on site as well; they have burritos, quesadillas, etc. it looked okay, but i wasn't in the mood for Mexican style food. Overall, it's fine. I like to try new places.
