Love, love this spot!!! Such a chill spot in the One11 Hotel downtown nola. Cool spot, great bar, great staff and food is great too. Always greeted with a welcome back and they even know your cocktails of choice. They have the best charcuterie board in the city and for a great price - so many yummy options of meat and cheeses. Food was subpar to say the least. I ordered the shrimp cocktail, but I should have asked how many shrimp came with it before I ordered. For $18, I only got 6 shrimp, but it did taste pretty good. The flatbread left a lot to be desired. The one I ordered was supposed to come with pesto and EVOO, and very noticeable the pesto was missing. When I asked the bartender about it, she told me that it didn't come with pesto when it very clearly stated that it did on the menu. When I ate the flatbread, it tasted like it came out of the microwave. Very happy I got a discounted price since I ate during Happy Hour Added a star for the drinks. Came on a Saturday early afternoon for brunch. The "restaurant" is really the bar and seating area in the lobby of the hotel which is very nice. I liked the decor and the view of the pool. The menu is obtained via QR code, and then the order placed with the bartenders at the bar. The bartenders were nice and helpful. I ordered a bloody Mary which was disappointing. Very watered down and not much flavor. To be honest, one of the worst bloody Mary's that I've had. I opted for the French connection sandwich while my wife got the conquistador breakfast sandwich. The conquistador breakfast sandwich was pretty tasty. It came out quickly, and was served with some fried potatoes and a roasted tomato. The potatoes were okay, but the roasted tomato with cheese and pesto on it was nice. I think we are going to steal that idea and make it at home. The French connection sandwich had a couple of issues. First they forgot the egg, which they rectified quickly once I alerted them. Aside from the egg which was tasty (once I got it) I was disappointed in the sandwich. They advertise a tomato jam on the bread, and I'm a big fan of tomato jam. I don't know if they forgot the jam or if they had a weird deconstructed tomato jam (if you call it that) instead. There was no sweetness to it at all, it was just a few pieces of roasted tomato on the bread. The brie was nice and melty on the sandwich. All in all, I was underwhelmed with the drink and the food. For what it's worth, I probably will not be coming back for the food, but I'd be willing to come back and try a different cocktail for the ambiance. Looking for a night out by an open fire and a few small bites or a date night? This is the place to be. There's also an outdoor pool which adds to the overall aesthetic. Truly one of a kind in this area. Although I didn't get a chance to enjoy time by the fire pit, I enjoyed the cozy indoor setting. I was informed that an outside group reserved the area while a convention was in town. Currently the menu is a bit limited, but there's still a few good options available. The crab cakes initially seemed small but they were packed with flavor, absolutely no filler which I always love. A true crab cake. Garnished with corn and avocado the flavors truly are something I could enjoy time and time again. For this reason alone I will be back. The flat bread pizza was decent, I wouldn't recommend it if you're truly looking for something appetizing. My server was extremely attentive which is always a plus when dining out. The chef stopped by and was also pleasant. I hope next time I stop by the hand bites are available and I can enjoy the crab cake hand bite. There is a parking lot immediately adjacent where you can pay per hour. Given the time and day you visit you may be able to find street parking. Delicious food, fast service, beautiful brunch atmosphere! We sat outdoors and enjoyed the beautiful weather almost as much as the food. We ordered the boudin egg rolls after seeing a couple of pictures of them on other reviews. They were probably my favorite thing we ordered! Absolutely delicious and spicy (thank God!). We also had the bananas foster waffles which were great. They taste just like the dessert - rich and sweet. My husband ordered the avo trio and it did not disappoint. Definitely add this spot to your list for Happy Hour in New Orleans! Their HH is daily from 3-6pm and includes specials on drinks plus half off of their flatbread selections and half off of their deviled egg apps. Other than that, the food options are a bit expensive for what you get (flatbread is normally $15-16 without HH discount). The vibe inside is really cool and it's a lot larger than what it looks like on the outside. Music was 5/5 for the indie electronic music fans. Service was also great and personable! Hot spot! I love finding new places to writec about. Batture Bistro + Bar just opened a few weeks ago. I wanted to check them out and try their menu. The bar area has a very cozy & chill feel to it. You can chill by the fireplace and delight in cocktails by the poolside deck. Oh, the pool is heated. There's also a climate-controlled porch that is designed for socialites to sip in style. I am here for the dining al fresco. We ordered the artisan flatbread pizza. The options are a wide array ranging from Prosciutto, Italian sausage , Creole tomato, and blackened chicken. I have been wanting to check out this spot since I saw the sign that it was open! So, today, I decided I would venture out for lunch. You can sit wherever, at least during lunchtime. I sat near the TV because I wanted to look outside. I ordered a rum punch, because it was that kind of day. It was delicious! Not too strong, which I prefer. Their drink list is beautiful, so I'd love to return sometime when I can sample more (heheheh). For lunch, I ordered the gulf shrimp handheld. It is shrimp with remoulade and slaw on french bread. It was so refreshing! It comes with chips, which were a nice change from fries. The other item was pickled yellow squash, onion, and sun-dried tomatoes. Yummy. For dessert (yes, I'm gluttonous, whatever), I ordered the godiva chocolate mousse. O. my. godddddd - UHHHHH I can't even believe how amazing it was.... It was sooooo good. Three days in the quarter and we needed a break from "creole/cajun everything". No offense intended but you can only eat so much Gumbo. Brunch was lovely - presentation, atmosphere, and taste all very good. The banana's foster mini waffles, fresh blueberry mini waffles, rosemary potatoes, al were excellent with out trying too hard. My son inhaled the Pecan Praline mini waffles but said somehow, that he was still able to taste it and it was "yum". Steve served us promptly and efficiently with refills on water and coffee and a few lovely bourbon milk and grasshopper cocktails, which were well balanced after three days of heavy "pour decisions" Saturday morning at 9 AM there was no wait at all as they are nestled in the One11 hotel and brand new. I was invited to a brunch for a close friend's birthday and I absolutely loved the space and the service. This place is it! Upon entering the various spacious main room, there were tables and a lounge area so to speak and there was plenty of space. I was there on a weekend and there was not many people so I suggest that you go now!! We gathered in the glass room that sits facing Decatur and also has a lovely view of the pool. Such a pleasant experience with great food! We ate at Batture for brunch and the food, service, and atmosphere was fantastic. We were waiting in line for another local restaurant outside foreverrrr when my husband stumbled upon Batture nestled in a local hotel lobby. It was such a nice break from the crowds and heat of NOLA. The service was wonderful and the food was great. We are serious travel foodies and we're thoroughly impressed with the taste and quality. Don't follow the herd only to wait in line for food that's half as good--head over to Batture before everyone else figures out what a gem this place is! PS. Today, Feb 4, 2022, I have had the worst service ever!! Eight times I've been there. Well, Lisa Miller, I'm not exactly certain where you source your work staff from, but please, do the rest of the New Orleans service industry a favor and put yours through an etiquette class or two. I have never had someone treat me as though it was a burden to take a simple drink order. It's worth mentioning I recommend this place to everyone, but I've never recommended a place to my coworkers, only to have them treated as though their order or purchases were insignificant. This economy only allows for so many mistakes, and you're on the titanic. You will fail! You will fail horribly! You will be just like every other fleeting, small pop-up that tried to make it in New Orleans and stupidly taken for granted the local customer. (I wonder if all the other bad reviews are about Desiree as well, and her shift-manager counterpart) We waited 45 minutes to be initially acknowledged, while three Caucasian gentlemen were waited on three times prior to the same waitress acknowledging our table. Before acknowledgment, two female members of our party attempted to expedite the situation by going up to the bar, only to be told, after each presented their vaccination card, that they needed to return to their seats and present vaccination cards prior to being addressed, by the shift manager. Charged for doubles for singles. The food, cold and lack luster. It was an additional 45 minutes to an hour before seeing our waitress again. My coworker attempted to get drinks once more by going to the bar, only to be told, again, that the waitress will make her way there. There were only 3 to 4 tables the entire time we were there. And as a simple note, it is never okay to be condescending to your customer while calling them "hun" ( as a means lessening their existence ), and telling them that "it's understood you aren't going to get waited on when you sit here". Never have I been so blatantly lied to, so disrespected. Your establishment may be boutique in name, but the quality of your staff, has taken it to street level. Objectively awful. Happy to spread the word. It's places like this, and people like your waitstaff, that give visitors such a poor perception of New Orleans. read more

I just left this restaurant/ bar and can promise that I will never go back because the service was horrible and the staff was beyond rude. The bartender, who claimed to also be the MOD, refused to take my order ( after I took a seat with my friends in the enclosed patio area and waited at least 30 mins for the server to come) and sent me back over to my seat to wait for the server. The server comes and takes our order. She returned twice in 2 hours to check on us. One of our party left and had to go to the bar to cash out because the server was MIA. We wanted to order one last round and waited for the server, who never came. Mind you, the bar was NOT busy. There were two other parties beside us. I went to the bar to order a glass of wine and again was told that our server would come to us (why I couldn't get the bartender/MOD to serve me a drink I don't know). 20 minutes later (after the server checked on her other table, went to the bar, chit/ chat with the bartender and people at the bar) she finally came to us. I asked for my glass of wine. My friends were clearly annoyed and just asked for the check and pointed out that we are locals and we expect better service and treatment from local establishments. The server's response was unacceptable... "hon, you shouldn't expect to be waited on frequently if you sit here!" Oh I'm sorry - I didn't realize sitting in another portion of the bar garnered poor service. She was completely unprofessional and rude, which made my friend become even more upset with how we were being treated. As a result of the dispute and argument (which the staff did everything but deescalate) we had the pleasure of being "escorted from the premises" by the quiet old man who was apparently "security." And while we may have been loud and yelled at the staff about how poorly we were treated and the terrible customer service, I can assure you that had either the server or the manager showed one ounce of accountability or concern with their customers' experience, this whole situation would not have occurred. But unfortunately for us and Batture, their staff doesn't care about their customers or their employers reputation. As a newly opened restaurant, trying to expand its customer base in a city brimming with heavy competition, I would have expected there to be more concern. But alas, when you hire people just looking to collect a paycheck and not caring about your success, this is what you get. Word of mouth is how many establishments in this city grow to become successful staples in the community. I doubt Batture will enjoy that kind of success. I certainly have no reason to wish them well nor will I hold back in sharing my horrible experience with all of my friends in Orleans and Jefferson Parish as well as all of the people who ask me where they should go when they come to visit. We were ignored for several minutes while no one else was at the bar while the snobby bartender played with the computer and had conversations with other employees. when he finally deigned to ask us what we wanted it was without any greeting or socialability. We stopped at Batture to celebrate two friends birthdays with a group of 12 over the weekend. The restaurant is beautiful -- there are couches and tables so great place to hang out with a large group of friends. We ordered several things off of the menu to split between everyone, and everything we ordered was FANTASTIC. Specifically the flatbreads (we ordered 4 and they were all wonderful and not just your standard pizza), charcuterie board (the blue cheese was so good and I don't even like blue cheese!) and the boudin eggrolls. Everything was very clean and felt safe considering the current covid guidelines. We also tried several different cocktails and can't wait to go back to try more.
