Copymasters completed each set of the VHSes promptly and most often before the job was due. Copymasters was always prompt and gave each of the jobs excellent attention. I appreciated the work the company did and was glad to now have access to my favorite VHSes/DVDs. I turned to the company to convert scores of digital photos and hours of our digital camcorder footage of our cultural heritage tour into two DVDs. Copymasters performed the task, finished it about couple of hours ahead of schedule, thereby alleviating tons of schedule because we needed the DVDs for our membershiip/community meeting. We are hapy that Copymaster delivered the job a few hours before it was due. Copymasters worked hard to clarify the details assocaited with the job and assured us that the company would correct any errors on the DVDs if we were to find some. I appricated the pride that he took in the work.

I brought to Judy everything including the proverbial kitchen sink (in electronic form) for retrieval and recording from almost every form of gadget or device imaginable covering technology over and beyond the last 25 years to the present--I even hauled over to her an old answering machine with special saved messages! She handled all of it with aplomb and skill, delivering back to me my overflowing banker's box of original media (phones, clips, tapes, cassettes, DVDs, VHS tapes, slides, etc.) in one hand and a flash drive containing it all in the other hand. Plus, a detailed index of the contents. The quality and timing of the work was excellent, and the peace of mind of having this consolidation and protection of memories was wonderful. I mean deceased friends, aunts & uncles, cousins, and my Dad. It was 30-year old cassette tapes of me interviewing my 98 year old grandmother over the phone. My voice was too loud and hers too faint. But they managed to improve the balance and remove much of the tape hiss. I can now enjoy my grandmother's stories of growing up in the early 1900's.

No one picked up every time, they even just sent me straight to voicemail. I end up just driving over to find the place is not busy at the slightest. They just ignore calls. I decided to make the drive out here and just talk to them in person. I've never met someone more dismissive in my life. The owner cuts off everyone who speaks to him. Right in front of me there was a sweet old woman who noticed there was a cash discount that was posted on the well after she handed over her film, she kindly asked to pay in cash for the discount and the owner told her "Nah I already typed in your order I'm not changing it." Shoo's her away after that exchange, and then says goodbye calling her by her first name. Which tells me this is a regular customer that he treats like trash. I'm next, I pull out my super 8 film and before I can even ask a question he says "nah we don't do those you have to go somewhere else" Which is fine. Not everyone processes super 8 (even though the website says they do,) which is an old medium. But the delivery and customer service were horrible. Someone should have answered the phone in the first place so I wouldn't be here "bothering" this guy on his very busy day of sitting around doing nothing. Also, This guys website shouldn't be coded/designed like a 6th grader did it, so that way the information can be clear and easy to read. Their website explicitly says "We transfer 8mm and 16mm film" which makes me believe this owner is just lazy and chooses not to work. It's sad really, the film medium is a dying industry and there are very few people who can be there to revive this medium and unfortunately this one in the Bay Area can choose to help this art form, but instead they choose to be a lazy business owner who has disdain for people who want to support his dying business. I've received better customer service from fast food chains than this place. If/when his business fails it's not because of a lack of customers or demand of services. But at the fault of a pathetic and bitter business owner who does not deserve it. To everyone reading I recommend looking for mail in film transfer. They are much more accommodating than this pathetic place.
