First off I LOVED the fact that when I called the shop at 7:30AM Cesar answered the phone. That alone is hard to come by lol, I asked for a quote for my 2018 Land Rover Discovery windshield replacement and he instantly gave me a reasonable direct answer. (Mind you I called 10 shops prior day before and they all gave me the run around and wanted to add on additional services I didn't feel comfortable with). Pedro is the best!!! I had my 2006 BMW X5 windshield replaced by another company and they used a universal moulding that goes above the windshield. A big piece of advice, never use universal moulding on luxury cars or you will have major issues as they don't work at all. Mine started making vibration noises and eventually came off and was dangling on my roof. I took it back to the shop and they re-installed a new moulding. Well, that made it worse as the whole windshield made a louder vibrating noise again. So, I decided to cut my losses and went with New Creation Auto Glass. Wow, what a big difference. Pedro actually installed the original BMW moulding. The windshield goes into the slot of the BMW moulding so it sits tight and secure which universal moulding does not have. He had to remove the windshield and all the sealant residue. Then he re-installed the windshield with the moulding attached on the glass and aligned the windshield perfectly centered. Driving North on the 57 Freeway is usually a comfortable experience, but yesterday a flying ROCK hit my windshield at a devastating speed, causing a crack the size of a quarter. I was pretty shaken up, since it just came out of nowhere and to my utter surprise. Having had a crappy few weeks, I was in bad shape and was only thinking Murphy's Law - anything that can go wrong will go wrong. I guess you could say that I had hit ROCK bottom. I needed to get my windshield fixed and was contemplating as to whether I might need to get it totally replaced, since it was starting to create a hairline fracture across the window. Yelp to the Rescue. Isn't this the reason why we love to write reviews and explain our experiences? New Creation Auto Glass was the closest in my area and with a near perfect 5 star review. Peter answered the phone and I was glad to hear that he makes house calls. I asked him to call me before arriving at my house, in which he kindly obliged. After, arriving at my residence past 6pm, I was relieved that he fit my schedule. Being mobile and driving to accommodate customers is a real benefit for us all. He examined the crack and told me that it was repairable, but that it wouldn't look exactly like it did before. It was doable for $69. My car is 6 years old and paying a few hundred dollars for a new windshield is not my idea of a worthwhile investment. Just in case, I even asked for a quote to replace the entire thing and it was $400. Much cheaper than I anticipated, in case something worse happens next time. Peter was friendly, reliable, and quick at his craft. About 15 minutes to complete the entire job. Although, the end results aren't picture perfect, all you see now is a few minor scratches and nothing considerably noticeable. I'm satisfied with his work and would recommend him to others. Having a damaged windshield doesn't help when you're having a few rough weeks in your life. But, making the necessary adjustments to help resolve issues like this is the best cure to turning your luck around.
