Got take out from here a couple of weeks ago. My friend and I got three tacos each, yucca fries and chorizo and shrimp flautas. There was a lot of food! So much for your money. The tacos came with rice and beans. Everything was tasty and fresh. The flautas were amazing. The yucca fries weren't flavored enough. Tacos were on point. I put them on my places to visit when ever I'm in the area list. I'm giving 4 stars, because I didn't love the yucca fries and we didn't dine in. Will definitely be back for more!! read more

Food is underwhelming, wait was overwhelming. This can't be considered tex_ mex. the tacos are basically meat on wonder bread. Wouldn't come here again. read more

Worst experience I've ever had here. I asked my waitress if the fries were gluten free. They weren't. I asked for a side of guacamole to calm my reaction l, took a half hour to get it and by the time It came we were paying our bill. I also had to ask 3 separate people for it. Went in for taco night and she charged me full price and wouldn't change the price. My tacos came out soggy and when I picked one up it fell all over the plate. My waitress wasn't helpful, she was slow and didnt know anything. Honestly I will never go back to this place. I've eaten here 3 times and all these times the food was just ok. The only things worth are the salsa they give you FOR FREE and the $3 expensive as all hell tablespoon on Guac they serve. I'll wait the 2 hours next time for Swell Taco because at least I know the food and service are worth it. Such a bad time here..... UPDATE, I made this account just to post this review, thanks for replying del fuego read more

The best Mexican place in Babylon - sorry Swell taco. They put bbq sauce in their quesadillas and it's my favorite. endless chips and salsa. The only recommendation I would make is to include more rice and beans with the entrees. read more

I just saw a very negative review left by an extremely disgruntled customer about a catering order that was placed for a sweet 16....I am now going out of my way to make a reply-post to that person (I believe their username was 'Samantha B.'). I was in the restaurant that night with my fiancé, and the review that Samantha B. left was untruthful. What I'm assuming was her husband walked into the restaurant, immediately yelling and berating the hostess and other employees trying to resolve this issue. He proceeded to engage in what felt like a 20-minute screaming match with a restaurant worker, a young woman nearly half his age. The entire restaurant watched as this grown adult man carried on the biggest temper tantrum I have ever seen - and I'm a preschool teacher, for reference - absolutely ruining everyone else's dining experience. He acted like an entitled, spoiled rotten brat, and his behavior was extremely inappropriate. I completely understand that his family was inconvenienced by this mishandling of his catering order, especially being that it was for a sweet 16, but the manner with which he conducted himself unfortunately then shifted the blame onto him as opposed to just the restaurant. It was clear that this was due to a miscommunication or something - which again, sucks, but that's life - but the man was misdirecting his anger at employees that most likely had nothing to do with his order not being fulfilled. When you are an adult, and you have been inconvenienced or screwed over by some facet of life, the appropriate reaction is never to see who can yell louder - especially when its being directed at teens/young twentysomethings at work just trying to earn a living and go home. Samantha B.'s post also stated that they did not receive a refund for their order - again, I was in the restaurant and overheard the staff trying to appease him. He was given a FULL refund, plus some extra. I grew up in Babylon and have been coming to Del Fuego for YEARS - I have NEVER had a bad experience, the food is always delicious, the service is incredible, and all of the young people that work there deserve to be respected by their patrons. I hope whoever that man is took a nice long nap. The baby definitely needed it. read more

I'm from the city so of course I'm a tough critic given how there are so many food, authentic restaurants in Queens but their food is very good! read more

I had been to Del Fuego once or twice before, and went the other night for dinner and drinks with two friends. The drinks were great and the chips/salsa were bomb! Here is the absolute best part....our waitress (forgive me forgot her name) and the manager handled a food mistake by going more above and beyond than I've ever experienced at a restaurant before. There was unfortunately an ingredient in my burrito that I had asked to avoid, but I didn't notice until I was almost finished. I barely squeaked out the issue to my waitress but SHE noticed something was wrong by my expression and was upset FOR me. She immediately got the manager. He explained in lengthy detail how he is going to ENSURE the staff handles everything in the future to make sure it never happens again, comped my food drink AND appetizer. Food mistakes happen, it's human error and I would never be one to judge an establishment on it. The mark of a good business is how you handle these errors, because of how amazing I was treated I'll definitely be back. By the way the rest of the food was also fantastic. read more

Try the Casa Del Fuego drink. Great chips and unique home-made salsas. The creamy, spicy pumpkin soup was large enough for two people to share. It was outrageously good!!!! The "classic" (not too spicy) chicken wings were among the best wings I ever had. Instead of your usual blue-cheese dip, they serve a five-onion in mayo concoction that is delicious and works so well with the wings. As a main dish, we had the BBQ brisket enchiladas and Red Snapper Veracruz. By this time, we were so full, we could barely try the entrees. Anyway, they were very good... although if I get a BBQ dish again, I will ask for less BBQ sauce. The decor is very well done and the atmosphere is nice. Service is excellent and the owner is a real gentleman. read more

Sorry but the food is bland! Not trying to be mean but I personally think a chain restaurant like on the border is more authentic then this. Everyone at my table was not satisfied with their food. Will not be coming back- and heads up...go to swell taco across the street! read more

I have never had anything bad from here. Food and drinks are fantastic. This place gets packed quickly. So my only complaint is that the front reception area has very little room for people and they need a better organization system. Otherwise, good food!! read more

This is my FAVORITE RESTURANT ever. The shrimp tacos are the best. I try to come here often. I love how they have every type of hot sauce there. I always leave with one. Also, if you love margaritas like I do. They have the BEST. Everything there is homemade, Down to the salsa they give you with chips. The bloody Mary is incredible. I highly recommend this restaurant!! read more

So my friend accidentally found this gem one day on her way to come visit. The take out experience was great. I just went there with several friends this evening for the dining in experience, and had an even better experience. The food is fresh and flavorful. Its a great change from your run of the mill Mexican fare, and the atmosphere is fun and inviting. Our waitress, Mariah, is knowledgeable, personable, and genuine. She really helped make our experience great. We ordered apps (Nachos, wings, and quesadilla) which were all great and dessert...Seriously...get the churros and a bowl of coconut ice cream....AHHHMAZING!! Thanks for a great experience! read more

I've been going to the Del Fuego in Saint James and when I was around the area in Deer Park, I knew this was the spot for tacos. Same owner, same specials so I went with my usual $2.50/taco specials. I always get the brisket w/ soft flour because I've tried the others and the brisket is just the way to go. As usual, it was an excellent lunch for $10 for 2 people w/ chips and their homemade salsa. Be forewarned though, you'll need some mints cuz that salsa will wreak havoc on your breath. read more

Del Fuego was surprisingly great! I didn't expect them to wow me, but they did. They have great drinks, great food, great prices, and great service. Seems like it's always a party in here as well, and if you are looking for some good food, this is definitely a place to try. read more

Second time being here was much better then the first! The restaurant was relatively quiet which was super nice. They start you off with chips and salsa and OMG the salsa is delicious!! We both had the chicken quesadillas with jalapeños added and it was great. There is a mesquite bbq sauce on the quesadillas which I liked but wasn't expecting. read more

This has been my favorite restaurant in Babylon since I first came in this past summer, all the management and bartenders have great service and make you feel very welcomed. The vibe here is better then swell taco and so is the food, highly recommend the bar scene here. Shrimp tacos here are a absolute must try read more

Ok where did I start I have nothing but good things to say about this restaurant . Let's start with the delicious cocktail that I had which was the peach mule the sweet taste of vanilla was absolutely delicious . For the entree I had the carne asada which was melt in your mouth delicious it came with jalapeño cornbread which was a little to spicy for me . My boyfriend had the pulled pork quesadilla which he loved . For dessert we shared the churros with salted caramel ice cream which was scrumptious! We will definitely be back ! read more

Told 15 minutes by staff for wait. Watched douche of a manager(male in plaid shirt) take shots with friends and give our table away. We had a child with us. Not ok. Guess his friends were a bigger tab. Not again. Thanks read more

Jen and Tedi Marie are fucking LIFE. Promote them to owners immediately like seriously right now no joke

Decided to give Del Fuego a try last weekend, because my wait was an hour and a half at Swell Taco, and wow-I am ecstatic that I did!! The wait was only about 20 minutes, and we were seated at the hightops by the bar. The waitress instantly brought us a menu of mocktails, which was such a nice touch!!(I'm under 21) I got the agave mint refresher which was DELICIOUS. My friend got the sucker punch which was great, as well. For dinner, I got the surf and turf fajitas, and my friend got the BBQ brisket enchiladas. My fajitas was fantastic, came out quickly and were generously portioned. The enchiladas were apparently really good, as well! We were not planning on dessert, as we didn't notice the dessert menu on the table but upon noticing it, we decided to go all out and try the churros and the spicy Mexican brownie. The brownie was AWESOME, like nothing I've had before. It had a kick to it and the vanilla bean ice cream balanced it out perfectly. I am looking forward to returning, and thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience!! Thank you Del Fuego!! read more

First visit last evening Sunday) at 6:00. Nice moderate crowd. Hostess was very nice upon entering sat us at high too in lounge. My back to glass window enabled me to watch bartenders and servers standing around talking to each other. 2 other tables next to me being serviced many times. 10 minutes into stay we had no ones attention. I flagged a Bus boy asked for pitcher sangria. 10 minutes later he brought out a pitcher which was filled with red wine and red wine only. Sangria? Where's the fruit? Where's the other mixers??? $40.00? We decided not to drink it and waited to tell our server it was terrible. However, now another 10 minutes has gone by and no server came to us. What bothered me the most was the other servers walking past us 5-6 other times servicing the two other tables next to us. Now just shy of 30 minutes and nothing? Shame on this place! Where's the manager? Where's the team effort. Watching staff BS'ing with each other. We literally sat there until I said that's it! Walked to hostess who sat us and told her the deal. I was told sorry! Nah, I'm sorry you lost our business. I may get the urge to give it another try but why would I when we walked 400 feet to Don Ricardo's and were treated right. The only reason I didn't give 1 Star is due to my friends loyalty to this place. This place is a bad excuse for being opened to the public. Wasted half hour of our time. We tried to be patient but they just have no respect for their customers and if not respect, the help just didn't care! read more

This restaurant used to be a favorite but I went Thanksgiving eve and the bartender was not on his game. It wasn't busy and I had to ask several times for a drink. Then I wanted food I had to ask several times to see a menu. Again it was not busy it was only 5pm. After I left I contacted the restaurant to tell them how unpleasant my experience was and heard nothing back. I've recently contacted them again but I won't hold my breathe for a response. I have to say I'm very disappointed I've been to two of the locations several times and this experience definitely soured me on Del Fuego. I doubt I'll go back. read more

Yesssss truly an enjoyable experience. The food was delicious and flavorful, everything from the salsa to the ribs to the shrimp quesadillas to the guacamole . Great service and atmosphere as well. Did not disappoint ! Highly recommended and didn't have to wait an hour for seating :) read more

I had been craving tacos for the longest so my boyfriend decided to surprise me by telling me we were going to get some tacos. It was our first time there ! I was surprised to see that they did not have that much variety for the "Taco" section. I was looking for some "Al pastor tacos" unfortunately they did not have that so I went ahead and ordered some "carne asada tacos". The wait time for the food was not bad at all. When I received the tacos, the second I picked it up, the tortillas broke apart..(both of them) lol . I order corn tortillas and I was disappointed when I couldn't eat my taco, the way a taco is supposed to be eaten. I ended up eating the inside of the taco with a fork. The tortilla felt like it had been in the microwave or perhaps on the pan for about 5 seconds. Overall the food was okay, but personally will not be going back. They must be doing something right tho because it was packed ! read more

I always ate from st. James Long Island location and men my kids love it but today we atecat Babylon NY location food was very less quantity no salsa or chips offered food was cold n soggy. Never go there again. Such a disappointment. read more

I love, love, love Del Fuego. I would describe their food as Mexican meets BBQ. They have lunch specials everyday (3 tacos and a drink for $9 or a burrito and drink for $10). When you sit in, your and given nachos and salsa. This salsa is so good, I could freaking drink it. I have tried almost every meat (chicken, steak, ground beef, brisket, pork, shrimp) and hands down my favorite is the brisket. The brisket burrito is full of meat, very filling and flavorful. The only complaint I have is that their beans tend to be a bit undercooked for my taste, they borderline have a crunch - the hell?! Other than that, I have never been let down and I have never left hungry. I recommend Del Fuego to anyone in the area looking for a quick bite read more

Great food and drinks ..: I had taco trio ... steak, fish and shrimp . Amazing bartenders

This is my favorite Del Fuego on Long Island. The food is always so good and served up quickly, they have THE BEST, and just to make sure, please let me reiterate, THE BEST HOT SAUCE SELECTION. If you're looking for good hot sauce, you have to go and try the Black Widow. The bartenders are super knowledgeable on the sauce, food, and their drinks are always so good. If you can, go on a Friday, look for Jen, ask her for the mango margarita, I always get it with sugar and she kills it every time. You'll probably see me sitting there with the hot sauces, sweating, but also living on cloud 9. read more

Really good Mexican food! Guacamole was great, and the burrito I ordered was delicious. They have a lot of drinks to choose from, and everyone in my group tried a different one and we all liked our choices. Only down side was that we had to wait like 45 mins for a table. But it was a Friday night so we didn't expect not to wait. read more
