We used to come here often and have family gatherings in their larger rooms towards the back. They have LOTS OF SEATS and it's very spacious. They even have a patio area. They have always been very welcoming. Our server stayed on top of everything. Food was very flavorful. I got the Adam's Special and I was surprised to find it really is beef fajita as the meat rather than a patty but it made it very unique and a little messy but delicious. Delicious chaos! They used to have live bands come in during the weekend but if you're near the area I definitely recommend checking them out. In the same plaza they have a tattoo/ piercing shop, escape room and a few other things that you can check out to make it a full night or day of fun! read more

I don't live close but when I am anywhere near the neighborhood I visit Del Pueblo. We have been dining here for 28 years and put out of town family look forward to our trips here. It is a tradition. I heard this place closed and was then remolded and re opened just a couple months ago. Decided to try again. I use to come here once every month or two and back then the vibe from workers were really good, music or DJ always played music. The food was not that great but we always got fajitas and you really can't mess up fajitas and the drinks were always good. Prices were fair. Now the menu prices are high, vibe from waitstaff was nada. Remodel seems minor but I do see the ceiling looks like all the tiles are new, bar area looks diff on back splash and some paint...but layout is the same. They have music playing low in background. Service was a little slow but not bad. I ordered flautas $13.99 as they are a standard and if a place cannot get these right they need to close again. My friends ordered fish tacos and fried avocado. My flautas appeared hand rolled as I did see holes from toothpicks. So I was glad to see that. But chicken was dry and not enough cheese and they were very greasy as if once out of fryer put on my plate and brought to me.. if not they need to let sit a little longer to drain. The lettuce and tomato was wilted and didn't look that great but the charro beans were very good. Fish tacos were good and the avocado was good but too much cheese was the only thing my friend said was wrong. Prices over all on menu are a lot higher. And Sunday at 12:30 place was less than half full. I was expecting the place to be packed.. Overall not bad, for what I ordered and what my friends ordered it was just OK. I will probably return to get fajitas and margarita for a dinner review and see how the vibe and staff are in a Fri or Sat night.. read more

Have been here before for breakfast and it was good. This morning I ordered pancakes with eggs and bacon. No butter or syrup came with the food. It took so long for the butter to come that my pancakes were cold and the butter would not melt. I asked for some melted butter. The waiter came back later (not even right away) to say that the kitchen does not have melted butter. Yes, it sounds simple BUT having the butter melt into the pancakes is the best and the waiter and/or kitchen staff should be able to make this happen. read more

Please change the lighting back to how it was! It's way too bright now and it makes me not want to return. No one wants to eat in harsh lighting. I'm not sure why you changed it. The $20 Cobb salad is also wayyyy too expensive. It's 80% lettuce. read more

Yassmin was our server for our lunch there today, O1/29/25. Not only is she an amazing professional, but she is also a beautiful lady, through and through. The restaurant is so large and comfortable. We had a table for four for our long family visit and feast. Three of us ordered off the Lunch Menu. I ordered the fish tacos. All the food was visibly gorgeous and fresh and hot. Perfect Tex-Mex living up to the history of the restaurant. How blessed we were by our treatment, the service, the delicious and very satisfying food. It pains me to give them three stars as I have been coming here for 29 years, but alas, I must. The frozen margaritas are ALWAYS on point, so do not forget to get one, but my most recent visit found the queso incredibly lacking. Watery, minimal vegetables, and not much taste. I was disappointed because I knew how good it once was. I had a half order (6 individual chips) of bean and cheese nachos, which candidly you can't mess up. They were good and complimented my margarita. Sunday evenings at DP used to be a lite version of their poppin' Friday nights, but it was surprisingly slow at first. Picked up a little but had no issues getting a table and the service was great as always (once they realized we needed service). It's been a long time since I last dined here and therefore I decided to visit for lunch last Sunday. Parking spaces are plentiful in front of this restaurant which sits in the rear of a shopping complex off of Jones Road at Grant. Inside it is decorated in a festive way with many colors and decorations to look at. After being seated by the hostess and reviewing the menu, I asked for the chicken fajitas with charro beans and their homemade corn tortillas for $13.99. By the way their flour torts are homemade too. The chips and two salsas arrived immediately. I liked them both taste wise and the chips were crispy. Within 10 minutes my entree arrived and I was pleased with the serving size on the sizzling platter. It was a lot of meat along with onions and bell peppers with a separate plate of sour cream, guac and pico de gallo. I thought the beans were very good along with the corn tortillas and all in all, it was a very good tasting meal that left me full. Also my table service was very good and attentive. I know that Del Pueblo has been here for a long time and there is a good reason for that. It serves good food in a festive and colorful atmosphere. Food is always great here! Always get seated right away when I show up. Sometimes they have bands playing on Fridays. Del Pueblo is still a family favorite, but I feel like there has been a decline in quality in recent years. The good: the salsa, chips, and tortillas are still top notch. Some of the other food, particularly beef dishes (tacos, fajitas, etc.) have become more inconsistent and are often bland. Breakfast tacos are an incredible bargain, and are huge for the money -- but the eggs tend to have an odd taste. Sometimes I get an awesome staff member like Baltazar where everything is handled lightning quick -- and sometimes I could have driven to South Houston to get my dinner in the amount of time spent. The service is good; the staff makes every effort to please. I eat there about once per month and occasionally order delivery with Grub-Hub. Came here on a whim since the actual restaurant we wanted to eat at had a 20 min wait. We were seated pretty quick but mind you it was only 6:30 pm. Our waiter MOTA was pretty quick to get our drink orders and the standard chips and salsa. We were considering an app but they were just as much as an entree. We ordered the chili beef fajita enchiladas and the beef fajita combo plate. The enchiladas themselves were swimming in cumin spice which was a bit over powering for my taste. So I only ate 1.5 of them. My partners plate was actually pretty good. It had a taco, beef fajitas and a cheese enchilada. I should of gotten that. Oh well. The interior of the restaurant is covered in tex-mex decor. It gets pretty busy in here but can easily accommodate large crowds.
