Worst customer service I have ever delt with. The employees think they run the place and act so rude and unprofessional. Like don't get me started with the managers hair.... But I waited in line for more than 20 minutes no answer on the intercom.. I said hello twice and no answer so obviously any customer will get upset and was like threatening me and saying I'll call the cops on you if u don't move out the line. If I could give it no stars I would. I came here twice tonight to do door dashes, and I'm in the same predicament of having to wait an hour or more to even get the orders for my customers. I considered watching a movie on my phone to pass the time. I'm not sure if they're understaffed or what, but this establishment definitely needs to be reevaluated by corporate and given more employees. Heck, take some from your other stores in Elk Grove if you can. But having to wait an hour in line, only to get to the window to wait another 10-20 minutes to get your food/orders is just honestly plain ridiculous. I'm going to ask for an application at the window if they have any. No fast food chains should be working under these circumstances, especially if they're open 24 hours. This is unfortunate because I personally don't like their food, but apparently other people do. Having this location so close to my house can be really dangerous since its so easy to just pop on over when I'm feeling lazy and don't want to cook. Nine times out of ten I'm going through the drive-thru at an ungodly hour. The drive thru takes longer than most other ones (besides In N Out), but the quality of food is a bit better than most fast food places. I really like their beer battered fish tacos and the street taco platos. I just wish that the quality of the platos are more consistent. This Del Taco is huge part of my pre-grocery store shopping routine. I don't do well shopping hungry so I pick up a couple carne asada tacos or chicken soft tacos so I don't eat small children or buy half of of the store. One time the deep fried jalapeños were amazing. After that they disgust me for some reason. Step away from the fries too. Micky D's is next door. The burritos are also fairly undesirable. Stick with tacos and quesadillas and you'll be fine. This location is super quick and accurate when tiny, cute Indian girl is wearing the black shirt and quarterbacking the team. I would give zero stars if I could!! Horrible employees, rude and disrespectful beyond measure. They should be fired! Came to pick up an Uber Eats order at 11:50 pm on December 26, 2022. While the store says open 24 hours, the drive thru was closed off and no one was in the building and it was locked, though the lights were still on inside. As I went to the door to see what was going on, a car in the parking lot kept honking with no other response. After a few min, and another delivery person came up confused also, then we decided to try and enter that drive thru by removing the signs. Then 2 employees came out of the car that was honking and started yelling at my husband to put the signs back. They only stated the store was closed. Didn't tell me why and proceeded to try and get into a fight with my husband when he tried to question why it was closed when it said it was open. The employees also continued to mock us as we drove away. Not sure exactly what they were doing in their car, but what kind of employees treat people like that, trying to get into altercations?? They need to be let go immediately, and from the looks at other reviews, this place seems to have a lot employees like this. I will never be back! read more

Which ever employee that worked Saturday, Jan. 14 and 9:30pm at the drive thru window (It's a young man) is so unprofessional and beyond rude. We have had this person serve us TWICE and both time just so rude and we left the place in a bad mood. He was literally tryna to talk back and lecture me through the intercom. We use to enjoy coming here at night for a quick snack after parties and such but I absolutely hate the employees. Will be complaining to the company directly. read more

Upon arriving, the store was clean, bright, and neat. The cashier greeted us and was ready to take our order. She did and repeated to us correctly. Upon our number being called, the cook forgot the lime(s) for the shrimp tacos. I stood there and made eye contact with the two drive-thru girls who were not taking an order, but chit chatting amongst each other. Then the cashier came over and asked if I needed anything and I said yes. I didn't get any lime(s) for my shrimp taco. Then she had to also get the attention of the shorter drive-thru order taker who was busy finishing off her conversation before checking what the cashier or anyone else needed. She was also the one who hands the patrons there order after calling our the order number or person's name. Anyhow, the shimp taco was bomb.com. The shrimps were crunchy in the soft taco tortilla. The lime is the key touch to bringing the flavors together! The churro was freaking delicious! They're like the ones you get at amusement parks, which are not stale/hard and is full of the cinnamon sugar mix!! The signature Del Tacos were great. We were looking for a place to eat, and we found two separate pizza places but they were without tables. This Del Taco was close and it was a good choice. It was our luck that both employees and other customers were friendly. It took a bit of time to choose something. I ended up with a (fire-roasted) veggie bowl. They always add that first bit when I order it, but I never see anyone roasting vegetables over an open fire. The prices are reasonable, and the food was just fine. We were treated well, and I would rather eat here instead of the various alternatives. Normally, I'd complain about the thing that they missed, such as cleaning the tables, filling the napkins, etc. but they seemed to have covered everything. read more

Since my last update, the location has done a good job improving everything including staff wearing gloves and masks. Orders are made hot. There are a few gremlins here and there, but it is much better now. I will continue to patronize them so long as they continue to do a good job. :) read more

If only I could give this place zero stars. Cashier No one acknowledged me for 10 minutes. Employees were so busy serving the drive-thru service that I almost wanted to hop back in my car to get quicker service. Shayla was the cashier and didn't acknowledge or apologize for not helping me. Rating = F Service Two customers came in after me and were already given their food after waiting for 10 minutes. Rating = A for the other customers. Food 1 Beyond Taco (soft) 1 queso and chips It took another 20 minutes to get my food ... for just two items! Beyond meat was refrigerator cold, chips were stale, and the queso was filled halfway. Not wanting to wait another 20 minutes, I decided to get a refund on my taco. Rating = F Cleanliness Shayla was the cashier and couldn't give me a refund so she asked the food prep. She asked the reason why the return and I told her that the Beyond Meat was cold. No response. She punched in a bunch of numbers and when the cash drawer opened, she asked Shayla to refund me. The food prep employee (didn't catch her name) immediately went back to the food station -- without getting new gloves -- and began to touch all the tacos that were laid out AFTER touching the dirty cash register screen. In horror, I told Shayla "she touches the cash register but doesn't get new gloves?!" Shayla is still quiet and doesn't respond but the food prep employee looked at me annoyed and quickly took off the tainted gloves and put on new ones. Tonight (9/11/22) I came to this location and ordered a chicken quesadilla and 2 chipotle chicken rollers and asked for everything to be well done. After waiting about 30 minutes in like after ordering to get to the window, I was greeted about 5 mins later by a little boy named Gilbert if I remember correctly. I've been seeing Gilbert here for a probably close to a year now and don't have a single good thing to say about him. He's rude, lacks common sense and simply has no customer service in any way shape or form. Doesn't even know how to say hello. Anyways, my food was complete and already put in the bag. I know this because I watched him, the entire time (5 mins) he was just standing around walking around with the food in his hand like he didn't have a customer to give it to. He then finally handed my food, I confirmed with him "the food is well done right" and he said "yes". He then forgot my drink which I reminded him and he then just handed it to me and I was on my way. I have a habit of eating in the parking lot cause I know they never properly make the food. I ate the quesadilla which wasn't even cut but I thought I'm not gonna waste my time trying to go back over the lack of effort to make a simple meal. I then got around to my chipotle rollers, like I said I asked for them to be well done twice. I open it and the cheese hasn't even melted. Didn't even bother taking a bite, I just simply got back in line and once I got to the order screen he says "pull up to the window". I went to the window (mind you I Haven't said a single word at this point). The overweight African American female then hands me the bag, doesn't care to apologize or anything just has an attitude about it as if I did something to her. She then takes the original rollers back which she didn't bother using her common sense on in the first place and slams the door. She had an attitude like I messed up her food but in reality she doesn't know how to read something that says "well done". Gilbert and the large women will probably stay working at del taco for the rest of their lives and never do anything better with it, I respect all jobs and all however these are the kinds of people that stay on the bottom of the chain since they can't even follow a basic order. Came to order late-night as they are one of the few spots open 24-hours & I absolutely love the food and workers. The line was especially long, with the wait time being 45 minutes and the length of the line reaching Chase bank across the way. When I finally got to order, there was a sign saying they weren't taking payment with cards from a specific bank, and that specific bank is the only cards I could possibly pay with. I have experience working in foodservice, so when I expressed my frustration to the girl taking my order I was being as kind as I could (because I know there are plenty of mean-spirited people) and even suggested they let people know a long time before getting to the order window, but she immediately was incredibly rude and didn't seem to care that I waited patiently for such a long time to find out I'm unable to place an order. She wasn't wearing a name tag, but her attitude and demeanor make me hesitate to come back. This was the night of June 2nd, and I hope no one else had to experience what I did. read more
