Had my first visit to Del Taco and was pleasantly surprised. While there are many places you can choose to have a taco this one is a little bit different. You can get any type of normal taco, burrito, or nachos but you can also get different things like cheesecake bites or mac and cheese bites. Both of these things were quite delicious as well. The mac and cheese was better than expected but the caramel cheesecake bites were something unique and delicious. If anything I will be back here for a couple of cheap tacos and a couple caramel cheesecake bites. read more

We came here last night in the drive thru about midnight. We were able to order our customized vegan order with no problems and the lady who helped us didn't take forever to put it into the system. It was completely painless and quick. We then received our order and it was correct!! Our food tasted fresh and hot! The service was so quick, even with customizations. We will be back again after late night Disneyland trips. (Side note: Their bathroom location looks like something I would avoid using for safety reasons.) read more

I'll admit that I came into this del taco with high expectations. Why? Because its a del taco but it somehow has 4 stars on Yelp. I'm happy to report that this location not only met but exceeded my expectations. Staff was nice, but more importantly the food was delicious. I got a soft chicken taco and a spicy chicken burrito, bold style. The chicken in both was very high quality and well seasoned, with little to no fatty parts. The cheese seemed fresh and the fries in my bold burrito were perfectly fried to a golden crisp - crunchy on the outside but soft and warm on the inside. I highly recommend this del taco. RUDE WORKERS!!!! One middle aged (probably around 40) mexican employee was so rude through the drive through. Then he incorrectly charged me 3 chili fries when I only ordered one. He purposely failed to give me the receipt in order to hide the fact that he did the incorrect charge!!! We did go around 3 am but seriously there's no excuse for being that rude. I just recently left del taco & a chubby man named "hector" was helping us. He was extremely mean from the beginning & only gave us half of our order as we were driving home we realized & turned around. When we came back the man was extremely pissed & rude he began shaking his head when we asked for what we were missing. My friend asked for extra green sauce again he laughed & threw the sauce back in the car because he was so mad . He was so upset to something that obviously we did not do, we asked his name and he yelled "hector" we knew he was lying because he hid when he said the name , but he was very rude & did not care about us having to drive half way home and turn around. I swear Del Taco is stalking me. They built one right across from my house a few years back and now we just moved to our new office and there's one like half a block away! But I'm okay with the stalking. best del taco location ive been too. look i go to school around here and when i need a quick, cheap bite i come here. drive thru is fast and convenient. no problems with that. when i go inside, parking is great. lots of spots and i dont feel like its super crowded even during lunch. inside theyre quick and clean. not all chains are the same. i love del taco and this location is very clean/new, but has the worst deomcraphic. the people that go to this del taco are scarier than the del taco in crenshaw/baldwin hills. i couldnt wolf down my food fast enough so i could GTFO! first, there was this creepy looking man who did not buy anything. he came in and sat down. Then, with the dirtiest used water bottle, he went to the self-serve soda machine and tried to fill it with big pieces of ice (obviously didnt fit and he made a big mess). then he filled it up with soda and made a big mess since the soda machine is made for CUPS with large openings, not water bottles. used dirty gross water bottles. workers there did nothing even though it wasnt a busy day. he then started to eat food he bought from the local 99 cent mart. didnt buy a thing from del taco. gross. One of the best places to eat around CSUF. Amidst an abundance of low quality and unsatisfactory food experiences that accompany the life of a college student, Del Taco is a beacon of light. It is located a short walk from CSUF's campus, and has fast service. The restaurant is cleaner than the average fast-food restaurant, but that is saying little - the food at Del Taco is far ahead of the realm of fast food. I came there with an e-foodie coupon for 2 Shrimp Tacos and a small drink; my order came swiftly, yet fresh, hot, and tasting very good. So good that I ordered 2 more Fish Tacos, which without a coupon is $4.00, an excellent price. What surprised me most is that the food here felt like authentic restaurant food - as a college student who has seldom chance of finding good food, Del Taco, despite first assuming it to be typical fast-food, is a place I will come back over and over again. Thank you, Del Taco, for giving me hope in good food. If you do the math, I believe eating at Del Taco everyday for a semester of school is cheaper than buying a meal plan at the Gastronome (ugh Aramark dorm food). I came here last night and had the rudest man take my order. I was heading home after a long shift and wanted to grab a quick bite. I noticed while the car in front was ordering, the man taking his order was in his car parked outside and was walking in while he talked to him. When it got to my turn he didn't speak and after some awkward silence he finally spoke with "Are you gonna order?" I ordered my food and he was just as rude at the window. He rolled his eyes when I gave him my card and threw the card back at me without a receipt. He clearly didn't want to be there. He moved away from the window, pulled out his phone and started texting and playing music over the intercom. After about 4 minutes, I finally tossed my food into the bag and me yell over his music since I wanted some hot sauce. My order was correct (Not that I could have say anything if it wasn't, he closed the window and walked away before I even got the bag through my car window), but that was the least of my concern. I get it. I work in the service industry too and there are times I don't want to be there, but that's no excuse to take it out on the customer. He didn't have a name tag so I don't know his name. This is probably one of the best Del Tacos to go to. Some of the employees here, well, I have been in town a long time and I can't remember when Alijandro wasn't there. Heh. All Del Taco restaurants are generally worth the price for the food you get, but what is going on with their fish tacos. I can't remember the last time I had a good fish taco at any of the stores. I don't normally review fast food places (seriously, does anyone?) but this place deserves a review. I've been to this place for the past 5-6 years and although I don't go often, EVERY single time I've gone, they've always done it right. The food is as good as it gets for fast food, the amount of meat they give you in the tacos is easily 2x as much as any other Del Taco location I've ever been to, no one has ever gotten my order wrong, and the people who work at the drive through are amazing. Most recently I was there to pick up a free birthday premium shake - the guy at the window asked if I wanted whipped cream on it and also actually passed it over with a huge smile. Whoa! Talk about unexpected great customer service. Del Taco offers the birthday shake if you sign up on their website, you also get emails about their new items and coupons, which...I mean, it's already the cheapest fast food place, I'm not even sure why they offer coupons. (Side note: for a long time, I actually got coupons at my house for a buy one get one free Double Del Cheeseburger. So basically you pay $3 for two double meat, double cheese burgers. I don't even want to think too hard about how that is economically feasible, because it was delicious, end of story.) So, one long review for the best Del Taco around and I hope it always stays that way. read more

I have never ever been disrespected like that in my life from a fast food worker. We came in around 2ish, ordered food, but we miscalculated how much it was going to be. I do apologize that we didn't have enough money. I know how much it sucks to have to cancel the order (I worked in the food industry myself) I know the hassle I really do but I didn't do it on purpose or out of fun. But having not enough money does not allow for a worker to make a humiliating and offense comment. They spoke Spanish like we didn't understand. She said very loudly "porque vienen si no tienen dinero" with an attitude. What kind of attitude is that. The first worker who attended to us was very respectful. The second was alright. I will not say what he did because I have seen him work there for a very long time. I can tell he's a hard worker. I will like him to keep his job. However that lady "Fransica" was very rude and disrespectful. I never ever, ever, in my life had to ask for a managers number. Never until today. Like I said I worked in a food industry myself, I understand the hardships and annoyance of stuff but disrespecting someone for not having enough money. In fact I would sometimes use my OWN TIPS to help someone who needs it to pay their food bill. I don't expect the same from them but don't a comment a like that.
