As we were enjoying our meal, I was thinking about popping on to Yelp and giving this Del Taco a 5-star. Because as far as fast-food places go, this place was a 5-star .... on my first visit. Fast, efficient, great customer service at the drive-thru and the food was prepared exactly correct. They have a value menu with crunchy or soft tacos for 69-cents and mini quesadillas for 89-cents (we got some of each). We parked and ate. The quesadillas were actually really tasty; the cheese was buttery and delicious, and the cook on the tortilla was just right. We enjoyed it so much that we got back in the drive-thru to order a couple more (they aren't that big) and the $1 donut holes. Again, the service was fast and efficient, and the gentleman who took our order and presented it both times was great. However, this time the quesadillas were cold. And the cheese was not at all melted. So that was a bummer. My daughter raved about the $1 donut holes tho. read more

15 Jan 2020 drive thru is unacceptably slow. I am seriously starting to rethink ever going through the drive thru if I don't have plenty of time. Not very fast food! And we got no napkins but order is right. I'm shocked that I haven't checked in or reviewed this location because I've been here so many times. Fairly new to Nampa area. Have stopped by this location approx 6 times..there has only been a couple times that I recieved great service Usually go thru the drive thru. Last evening around 6 pm( Sunday ) and was asked if I could wait a few minutes before they could help me. Safe there for 5 minutes before they took order. I paid the they had me pull out in the waiting area. Sat there another 15 minutes before they brought out my food. Was only 2 cars parked out side and a couple more that went thru drive thru while I was waiting. So not real busy. I only saw 2 employees there. Asked them if they were short handed and he said yes and wondered back into the restaurant. For God sacks owner or manager hire more people to work because your losing business because of that. Oh another thing the guy that took my order and payment was wearing the plastic gloves on both hands and as soon as I drove from the window he went back and was making people's food with his unsanitary gloves.....health department would probably not want to hear about that. The food is good, unfortunately with delivery they use DoorDash. DoorDash does not seem to be able to ever actually deliver to the correct address. My neighbor actually told him wrong door and the driver smiled and set it down on the neighbor's porch. I know this because my neighbor sent me their video surveillance of the delivery. For the past few xmas I get a del taco GC and usually some coupons for free chicken tacos. 2020 had an online deal where the chicken tacos were swapped out for a free small combo. The coupons expire in March 2021, but I wanted to use one after work today. The person manning the drive-thru told me that the coupon systems doesn't work anymore. I've eaten there many times before. Over the past half dozen visits at the 12th Ave location, I have noticed a dramatic change in quality and not for the better. I do understand it is fast food and you get what you pay for but I have grown up with this food chain for over 30 years. My last visit was my last visit due to the fact that a person's hair from their head was found in my food. I'm just glad I was able to find it early on so i could just throw my food away and not endure heaving my lunch. Although I have not made any formal complaints with that store I felt obligated to share my latest experiences with all of you. To Del Taco, review your stores and make changes as needed. I remember when this Del Taco location opened. Drive thru was fast, folks were friendly, food was pretty good and always delivered with a smile. They put a little Mom and Pop place called Yoli's out of business. It's too bad to because Yoli's was always super good, but I understand that's how business is. Anyway, after years of going to this Del Taco I finally realized that the quality of their tacos has reached rock bottom. Updating and downgrading my ratings. While I am still a frequent customer, I have to concede that the drive-through has issues. The last few times I have been through there I have been rung up incorrectly and had to knock on the window to get their attention and let them know. I have also received food that was less quantity/quality than expected (half full and soggy fries when I asked for well done to avoid the soggy).
