A very clean and nicely decorated restaurant. There are some TVs with sports going and plenty of seating. This used to be Goodwood BBQ. They have a selection of hard liquors and Modelo on draft. Service was excellent but there weren't that many people in the place. There are specials of the day, make sure you look at the little card on the table. We didn't see it until after we ordered. There is a happy hour from 2-5PM if I remember correctly, with 1/2 price beers and $1 off drinks. I decided to go small and had two chicken and one fish tacos. Chicken tacos were only $2 a pop, while the fish was $4.50. The squeeze is doing her own rating. The chicken tacos were good, with plenty of meat and topped with a good amount of onion and cilantro. The food was the best I have had in the area so far.the out side looks like it would be fast food but it's not. Sit down and nice Atmosphere. The staff is so friendly and very helpful full with the menu. I had the chili Riano's, which were fantastic, came with rice and beans. My wife had the wet burrito with ground beef, and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended, and we will be going back. read more

I ordered some tostadas de camarón and was disappointed. Here are a few points that made it bad. *it had no flavor whatsoever *they just added chunks of Serrano to make it spicy but has no taste *didn't cook the shrimp so you're eating raw tasteless shrimp that didn't even get marinated in lemon before mixing up the ceviche. *didn't include lemon. Truly l've never had such disappointing tostadas in my life before. Even down the road on Greenhurst there's a place that sells them way tastier. Actually 2 places on southside blva. And going down on 12th you have el Guero. Which are also way better. I expected more from a dish that so simple and such a staple in Mexican food. But it almost seemed that a complete newbie 12 year old cooked this up. The chunks of veggies were all uneven and large. And the shrimp were cut in what appeared to be thirds. Simply bad. Please fix this. It's not difficult to make a tasty ceviche. Make it right. Do better guys. read more

We've been wanting to try Taqueria La Flama for a few months since they opened. We almost didn't come because I couldn't find it on Yelp to verify hours. It's hard to describe but this place has a cool vibe. We joined a large group of people watching Sunday afternoon football. Everyone around us was friendly. Our server got us chips and salsa right away along with drinks. The food came out really fast. I had the Quesabirria tacos. The meat was tender and juicy. I'll rely on other Yelpers to post pictures of the menu but they have a respectable selection of authentic Mexican cuisine. Taqueria la Flama makes some very tasty tacos at a very reasonable price. My family was visiting our extended family in Nampa and decided to give this place a try. We are from San Diego and were pleasantly surprised. The tacos were just as good if not better as many that you will find there. Service was efficient and friendly. It's always been so hit and miss with their carne asada that we started just getting ground beef instead. But now they have a new menu. Of course with higher prices, but you can no longer get individual tacos. They only come in 4 per order. That was the one thing I liked about them, is I could order the number of tacos I wanted. These folks have filled in a nice spot with good food and sports vibe. We wanted Birria and Tamale and they had both. This is a fairly new restaurant, so we thought after a long, hot day we'd give it a try. We weren't disappointed! We were seated just a couple of minutes after going in. It wasn't busy, only 2 other tables were occupied. Our server came to our table immediately with chips and salsa and took our drink order. She gave us a few minutes to peruse the menu. I ordered the chili rellenos with refried beans, Mexican rice and a choice of 3 flour or corn tortillas. ( I got corn). It came out about 10 minutes later, bubbling hot and yummy. I ended up taking half of it home! The restaurant was clean and had several tv's with sports games on. Lots of neon signs. I'd definitely go back and recommend it to anyone craving good Mexican food. table booth was way too small for most people to sit in. The margarita on the rocks was blended. Long wait for the food. The food was cold. There was probably less than an ounce of chicken that it was all dried out looked like it had been sitting out for a while. Flavor was not good, food was cold. The rice was hard and crunchy then they messed up the other meal. Served it with beans when we'd ordered it with no beans. the food was cold not good and then they charged us for it even still we did not eat would not recommend this place at all. Several people working but to busy talking to each other to take care of the customers. Can't imagine this place will be in business long. What an upgrade from Dicke's Barbeque to Taqueria La Flama! The food and service are great here, and the pricing is reasonable. The decor is austere but not cheap and there is Mexican music playing at a comfortable volume. The wait staff was friendly and took the time to answer all our questions. We ordered a small queso dip and it tasted good with a slight hint of jalapeno pepper. The salsa is outstanding; very flavorful with a medium kick - they are not afraid to spice it up with heat, love it. I ordered the Mojarra fried fish which had a good flavor although I did not eat the skin. The beans were very tasty and the rice nice and fluffy. I liked both of them. My wife ordered the Fried Taquitos with shredded beef. They were fried perfectly, topped with cotija cheese and the meat was tasty. They came with a tasty guacamole dip which paired with them well. Portions are large. This is a reasonably priced Mexican restaurant with good food and service. read more

I was eager to try the birriaquesadillas as they seem to be elusive in so many restaurants. Taqueria La Flama did not disappoint! Full rich flavor accompanied by a delicious consume. Friendly service with a fast turnaround from the time we ordered till she brought out our food. Sports bar atmosphere with booths and tables and chairs. Such a nice surprise for quality authentic cuisine. I can hardly wait to return with more family to try the rest of the menu. Great job! read more

While the service was fair, the food is nothing to write home about. My base for any Mexican restaurant is Pollo a la Crema. This is the first time I have ever had that dish and it didn't come in any sort of cream sauce! It was an oily tomato based sauce with hardly any flavor. My husband's steak fajitas were not much better. We had hoped for a New Mexican spot for those nights when our regular is just too packed, I guess we will just have to look further or resign ourselves to a long wait. read more
