It's pretty clean here every time I go and their fish tacos are surprisingly much better than actual restaurants. Although it takes a long time to cook the fish you know it's fresh every time. Service is also pretty good and there is a good atmosphere for this del taco. read more

Not a fan. Stopped here today for the first time since I figured I should give it a try. My beef queso crunch taco, was ok but nothing special. What I really disliked was my Mexican chopped chicken salad. The chicken tasted like something, but it wasn't chicken and that's not a good thing. The lettuce in my salad was wilted, the avocado was browning and the mix of ingredients were just off. There was a decent line to order and then I waited a bit for food. I will never come here again. I only have 30 minutes for lunch and this is the third time I had to walk out I already paid for my food and because I took too long. So now I have to order food and get it delivered and pay more money. this place used to have some really good managers but they don't anymore. They used to have a lady named Rosa which was really good she had that place running like a Swiss watch and there's another girl I forgot her name she has really short hair and she's good too I wish they were still working there. But right now it takes forever to get your food. So now I'm out $7. . So even if it's a little busy and you're in a hurry just walk out. 3 stars for entertainment value, oh heck 4! I went to drop off fed ex package at the neighborhood post box shop on deep canyon. I walk to the gas station next door to get a big ice tea. But low and behold the cold soda fountain and ice machines are down. So the next best thing is a quick iced coffee from del taco across the street....lol. I order my iced coffee and ask for an extra cup of ice because they never put in enough ice. She hands me a tiny cup and I ask if I could have a bit bigger. I'll pay for it so she adds an additional 90 cents and says I'll give you the senior cup. Thanks really? I pay for both and as she is making the drink the other woman expediting asks her in Spanish why she charged me for the ice. She replies back in Spanish because Carlos says we have to charge for the larger cup. The woman replies back in Spanish, does it look like Carlos is here !? I'm not Carlos so don't when I'm here. I guess she is mgr???Lol. Of course I'm sure they assumed I didn't understand, I should have said adios or replied in Spanish but my verbal Spanish is not as proficient as my understanding, although that may have made it even funnier. I do not like eating at these corporate restaurants, but at 10pm midweek in summertime there are not a lot of places open at this hour around here. I ordered a combo burrito with fries and a drink. It tasted just like I thought it would taste like, an average corporate burrito, oh well better than starving. Way too salty on their chips. I have the nachos and boy did I regret it. The toppings were fine, but the chips had way too much salt. People working there were friendly and polite. But did I mention that the chips were salty? Seemed like they pulled that prank where they unscrew the top of the salt shaker and wait for some poor unknowing victim to use that salt only to pour the whole shaker into the batch of chips. 2 1/2 stars. Cashier was good, but food was tasteless(yes I know it's del taco). I would really like to know how they make brown water (supposedly tea) tastes less tasty than water. Bathroom was really smelly, and why do they buy those huge rolls of TP but not put them on the roller? Last thing, why can't they put up a hook for your coat or purse? One of the best Del tacos in The desert in my opinion. Typically always clean inside. The same core employees still work here after years. That tells you something about the ownership in my Opinion. Food is always consistent and fresh. Best Mexican fast food around. Couldn't believe this location charges $0.50 for adding secret sauce. The least they could have said is sorry we charge for that or give a warning. Not at this store. Charged 2 extra quarters to squirt out some sauce without any warning to the customer. I only found out after I left the establishment and reviewed the receipt. So disappointed. read more

THIS IS THE HOLY GRAIL OF DEL TACOS. Screw any bad reviews, obviously the only time people come onto yelp is to talk trash. But this place is CONSISTENTLY thee best. Freshest, most filled, look like the advertisements tacos and chili cheddar fries. And I eat a LOT of Del taco. This one is even better than the OG Barstow one where they put fancy full slices of tomato in their tacos. My parents live in indian wells and anytime I visit I have to make a stop because the owner, managers, cooks are emblematic of what Del Taco should be. I know it must be a thankless job, but please take pride in what you are putting out, you are doing the lord's work. read more

Let's be real, I'm not expecting 5 star service from Del Taco of all places. But here's what happened on my recent experience: I got the completely wrong order. Not like I asked for no tomatoes and they were sprinkled in, or asked for sour cream on the side and didn't get it. I ordered a chicken burrito (no beans) and 2 chicken soft tacos. I was so excited to get home and indulge on these delicious items (you know you find chicken soft tacos irresistible as well) and you know what I saw when I opened the bag? These fools gave me a bean and cheese burrito and 2 hard shell BASIC tacos. I had to just toss it all away. I would advise you drive to a different location, but if you find yourself stuck here, def check your stuff before you leave. Clearly the people working here could care less. read more

Upon walking into the kitchen for the first time today I observed that the dishwasher was empty, but there were dishes, glasses and pots in the sink extending over the entire counter. This called for only one course of action: go out to eat. I called to my partner in dine, "Want to go to Del Taco? Figuring that Del Taco is better than no taco at all, the answer was, "Sure." I find if you ask a question in a loud voice and with great enthusiasm you are more likely to receive an affirmative answer. Del taco is more or less a staple with us. We hit it about once a month and it is useful when you don't want to cook or spend. It is possible to eat there hugely for a pittance. My only problem with it is, it's not consistent. Most of the time it is more than satisfactory, but sometimes on the special price taco nights you are liable to get an almost empty taco shell. I really blame the employees for this and not the company, but when it happens it is maddening. Not so today. Everything was fine and for a little more than $7 two of us ate and brought home leftovers. So, thanks for being there, Del Taco. We'll be visiting again when we have a big appetite and little money. read more

We went to this Del Taco Sat. night on Thanksgiving weekend. It was not crowded, but about half full. We got in line & ordered & many people came in behind us. The problem was that orders after us were being filled & I went up to ask where was our food. They said that a particular person was supposed to be doing our order. I guess she was just slow. The person handing out the orders was an old woman who put her face into the bags & was always hunched over breathing on everything. It grossed me out. Eventually our food was ready, we had a big to-go order for 4 of us. I really love Del Taco (more than taco bell) & I was disappointed with the food as well as the service. The tacos were really empty, my daughter got dirreah (not bad though) for about 24 hours. I hope it was just a bad night for them. I was really unhappy with the whole expereince. It took forever to get the food & then it was not very good. I also don't like getting about 1/2 a taco. I would have to try this location again before I could recommend it. Coming from L.A, and arriving to "Indian Wells" we had no idea what was still opened at 10PM. And of course we found nothing whatsoever opened at that time, only in L.A something would be open till 1AM. Anyways, this Del Taco happen to be open, and saved us from hunger. And boy did it fill me and my family up! I ate only ONE fish taco, and I was so full. They made everything in bigger proportions. Our order had problems just like our last visit a couple weeks ago. This time we had a bag in a bag and the first bag had something we didn't order the second bag had our order.
