One of my favorite places in town to get a chicken sandwich. I like the fact they dont cook it until after you place your order. I love the grilled chicken with carmelized onions. Let me start by saying that the burgers are the reason why I come by for my lunch burger. But the wait time has only increased over the last few months and I cannot wait nearly a half an hour for a to-go order! I'm on my work lunch break: 30 minutes. Today marks my last visit: 25 minutes wait time for a BBQ Bacon Char and a strawberry limeade to go! Previously there were a couple more people working the grills, today just two people, one woman on the drive thru window and a woman in a manager. My last three visits here (Dinah Shore Drive) have lasted 20 minutes, 25 minutes and 25 minutes again, today. They clearly need more people working there. But that's beyond my control. What I can control is no longer wasting the little time I have waiting for my lunch order. Also, when I pay my bill upon placing my order, the screen always asks for a tip and I always tip 10% on my to go order. This is obviously a hangover from the Covid era, as a way to show support for the temporary inconvenience and increased worry for public-facing workers. Why is the counter service restaurant asking me for a 20% tip when I pay for my $30 fast food meal? You literally set my food on the counter and expect me to retrieve it from a plastic tray. What service am I receiving? Why are the peppers in the cardboard trays drying out? Why is the soda machine locked out but they're telling everyone it's broken? Why is the cook eating food while she cooks? Does she not have a food handlers card? Why is the girl touching my food touching her face? Why did I watch her pick a plastic cup lid off of the floor and put it back in the lid holder? I entered your restaurant at 8:37 PM. I realize your people wanna leave and start cleaning up for the restaurant closes but if we're going to shut the soda machine off and put the peppers in a cardboard tray and start eating dinner why not just close at 8:30 so you can do all that by 9 PM? I don't want anything free . It's crazy that you're destroying your brand by allowing these things to happen. Please do better. read more

Worst burger ever. Cold, soggy, inedible. Sides were inedible. Health concerns as well. I placed an order through Uber Eats at around 7:20 pm. Uber messed up and the courier did not pick up the order from Habit. When he arrived at my house about 35 minutes later he tried to sort it out but ended up having Uber cancel the order. Once the order was cancelled I reordered. This time it was delivered right at 9:00 pm, but when I opened the bag, the bottom was wet, the burgers were cold and the wrappers were wet and the sides were soggy. I checked the receipt on the bag and the time on the order showed 7:23 pm. Over an hour and a half it was sitting in the counter. I am not sure what Habits' health standards are but most fast food establishments it's 15 minutes and the food is disposed. This burger was around 100 minutes. If Habit disregard food standards and customer service on my order, don't be surprised if they carry their lack of serve and integrity across the entire enterprise. Habit has changed. The chocolate ice cream sundae went from around $3 to over $5. We were in Palm Desert and looking for ice cream and habit fit the bill. It's not the same habit. A little more streamlined, less staff, more hurried and less quality. The self service kiosks are convenient, but reflect the state of food services it feels. read more

Front counter service was fair at best. The place was dead inside, no other customers- never a good sign for dinner service. The prices were kinda high. The wait time was long, but we figured it would at least be fresh and hot. I ordered a club chicken sandwich, which looked okay, but then noticed it was missing the avocado. Took it back, and was told "well I can give you some on the side". Give me some? It's part of the sandwich! We probably won't return, but gave them a shot. I stopped in last Thursday, approximately between 11:45-12:15...there was a lunch rush and the place looked understaffed. The kiosks were open for patrons to order since there was a wait to order at the register. This older man was so upset he had to either wait in line or order at the kiosk...so he felt he had to let the manager, and everyone else, know he was doing a bad job. He said he was in the industry and would've handled it better. Also made sure to tell Luis, the manager, that he was going to call corporate to let them know. It was so rude and unnecessary of him to say that. Luis, the manager, and his staff were doing the best they could with the line. I am giving this location 5 stars because the Food was perfectly prepared and cooked - even during a lunch rush, they took the time to prepare the food correctly, and you could taste it! We ordered the classic cheeseburger and fries' meal and their new Spicy Crispy chicken sandwich. OMG! if you like crispy chicken sandwiches and coleslaw and pickles and spicy sauce! You're going to love this one! Luis also suggested the Banana Wafer Shake and it did not disappoint. They use real ice cream! and Nilla Wafer pieces! Given it was lunch rush, Luis and his staff did an amazing job, even when encountered with impatient customers. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and the place was clean. Condiment bar and drink fountain was also clean. Lids and straws were stocked, and the lemonades looked refreshing. Definitely returning for the great service by Luis and his staff - he also suggested the Oreo shake so I want to try that one next; the perfectly prepared food...and hopefully there won't be anyone there to ruin the atmosphere :) read more

My daughter stopped at this location at 7:45 pm after an 11 hour day. From the get go, she got attitude from Brenda, who insisted she pull up her mask up over her nose before taking her order. Gov Newsom said the mask mandate is over June 15! So why the attitude? Brenda repeated the order 3 time with attitude. My daughter clearly ordered NO Mayo, no tomatoes, no lettuce!! Only cheese and avocado was requested!!! Why did Brenda repeat the order back 3 times? SERIOUSLY?? I got an overload of Mayo gooey lettuce, tomato, pickles, and it looks like vomit! I see why Habit has such awful reviews. Will never eat there again because of ONE employees' bad attitude, Brenda! I highly recommend downloading The Habit Burger app since you can order your food custom and they seem to get it right every single time. The menu here is very good, along with the excellent taste and quality of the food. Ordered dinner via the app on March 23rd once I arrived at the location. There was a handwritten note on the door that said, "Closed due to staffing." I understand staffing issues arise, but to be able to place an order, get a confirmation, payment taken out of my account, and receive notification that my order is ready is frustrating. I gotta say the quality of their burgers rivals IN N OUT!! It was soooo good! I got the Double Char Burger with a strawberry drink and also a coke. I also got some really great fries! I was out of town and haven't had any new foods lately, but here in Palm Springs was my very first time trying a new burger. I gotta say it did not disappoint!
