Literally today again like many others my food is crap. I asked for well done fries and still out of the last few months they are always soggy and raw. It's Del Taco, not expecting anything fancy. I typically order the tacks, which are always in point. Sometimes I order for the family and my wife likes the tacos, burgers, and fries. My kids enjoys the chicken strips and fries. Drive thru... how often do you choose to go to the drive thru and get home and turns out they got your order wrong? Well this is my first... starving and craving for crunchy Del Taco. Ordered three crunchy del taco and one chicken soft taco. Got back and they got the order the other way around. They gave me three soft tacos, and value crunchy taco. This one have a dollop if shredded cheese and the chicken soft tacos have dark meet :(. I called and they asked me to come back. This location has an Nordstrom-level customer service and is In-N-Out-level clean. The best all around DT experience in my 35+ years of eating DT regularly. These guys set the standard. Too many locations are dingy, faded, tired, dirty, smell bad, are worn thin, and otherwise gloomy... This place is vibrant, upbeat, energetic, spotless, etc. Almost too good to be true. Great place. Drive thru orders are now a gamble and we leave crossing our fingers that the order is correct. Today we surely lost, which seems to be the norm now with our orders. Please, please get your acts together. If you're not understanding the order your taking, then take a few seconds to repeat it to the customer instead of tossing in whatever you'd like. Today's order had to be taken again, only because we asked Ms. Saray - the drive thru hostess - at the main window to have the order repeated back. This is a great Del Taco location and my favorite quick-and-easy food spot in Sylmar. I eat here once or twice a week. The food's always good, ...they're fast, and the place is spotless inside. They have a nice little outdoor seating area, too. The people that work here are very kind, and always friendly. Oh, and someone here has great taste in music...they play a lot of '80s stuff. I grew up in California and we LOVE our Del Taco. It's gonna be the same wherever you go, it's familiar and it's good. TIP: the fries are solid and the tea is only a dollar! So, what makes this Del Taco different? The service from a young man named Colton. He goes above and beyond to treat every guest with respect. He remembers things he's discussed with us and always knows our name. It's like CHEERS, but if Cheers Bar was a fast food Mexican joint. The employees are very fast with the food and I've never had my food messed up in a year of eating there. I don't even check my order because of how much I trust them. It's fast-food that is pretty decent. This location has a small and slow drive-thru, decent food, and more than reasonable prices. I recommend their quesadillas and french fries. They have to be using cheddar cheese because it's just so smooth sharp none of that Kraft American stuff. The only downside to the quesadillas is that they are extremely greasy! The fries have good texture not too crispy and not too soggy. They have good flavors and get the job done. Decided to stop by my local del taco for taco Tuesday, I checked in on yelp as soon as I arrived and I was able to redeem a dessert item... just for checking in! Cool right?!....... well, I placed my order and mentioned I had a free dessert for checking in on yelp and person taking my order said they don't accept those?!..... so at the window I showed him my yelp coupon and it has a timer on when it will expire. His response was " I need a physical coupon" ... like this one: and he goes to show me what a physical coupon looks like. Really?? Like I don't know what that is. He suggested I checked in, got coupon, drive back home, print it and then come back to show him. RIDICULOUS! This kid probably isn't familiar with yelp because I have used plenty of yelp deals at establishments and all they have to do is look at my phone and redeem. I was told that the burgers were pretty decent here. They're beyond decent . Pretty darn tasty and you get a good sized burger with crinkle fries and a soda. They remind of the Astro burger in Tomorrow Land back in the day when they were delicious or the Fedco burgers if you're old enough to remember how tasty they were. Bottom line you're getting a great meal and a good deal. Del Taco is definitely a must on Tuesdays and Thursdays, for their taco specials, very good and cheap. Make sure to try their bean and cheese burritos with green sauce very delicious. Del Taco also has ridiculous upgrades, their macho size is just ginormous. The employees at this paticular Del are very nice, and always hook it up with sauce if you ask. I wrote to the business before yelping about it, but was wondering if anyone had a similar experience. She acts like she can't be bothered to care about the customer, and has even lied about the price of a drink to me. I get dollar iced teas everyday (well before I bought my own) and a week ago it was $1.99. I let her know I wanted the dollar one, she said it wasn't a dollar anymore. No biggie, promotions end. But the next day in the afternoon... it was a dollar again, and has been a dollar at others. She was so lazy, or spiteful, or WHATEVER, that she had to LIE about a dollar to me. How ridiculous is that! Also, don't bother getting anything with beans if you're hear in them morning. They are never fully cooked and taste like crap. Food selection is there for their customers. Customer service is there as well. Prices are fair for what they offer. Plenty of parking so you have the option to eat there or get it to go through drive thru or pick up. My go to when i come here is their steak and potato burrito hits the spot when I am hungry. Although there is a Del Taco near my home (not bad), I drive all the way to this one because it is special. Perhaps because it is located in The City of San Fernando, it just seems more authentic. The pico de gallo is always fresh and crunchy. (It is also mild, for those without a need for heat.) Big dining room, clean, plenty of parking, patio dining too. Bright young staff had an interest in a recent election. One young man was a student at Cal State Northridge, and thinking about majors and careers. Mirrors the younger population of the Northeast San Fernando Valley, which is on its way up. The staff also enjoys making good food, and serving it with a smile. The whole place just feels right for my part of the Valley. I love the Epic Chorizo and Egg breakfast burrito meal, with hash brown sticks and a generous coffee ($6), with three 40 cent plastic cups of pico de gallo added. Total is $8 with tax, and it is served anytime. They voluntarily make new coffee if the pot isn't fresh. In May 2017, the dining room is open until 10:30 pm, and until 2:00 am on Friday and Saturday nights. read more

Not really someone to write a review but stopped here last Saturday on my way home from work and I got some 49 cent tacos they have and it was pretty busy in the afternoon but this one gentlemen really gave me a great customer experience. He greeted me and told me he'll be with me shortly and helped me out right away. For a fast food chain this place has great service. Came here with my wife on my way home from six flags to get a couple Bold burritos. When I parked to eat I notice there's one fry in each of our bold burritos and they're extremely skimpy. Usually when I get a bold burrito they're half pound with lots of fries and secret sauce. We took them back in hope to get some fries in there and the manager said they usually only put one or two. I have never had a bold burrito with one or two fries. On top of that, no napkins. Lol fun times. read more
