Very cool vineyard! The tour was amazing and very interesting to learn about. I got the tour tickets from Groupon, which has a great deal for couples. Part of the tour is wine tasting and that was delicious. We tried 5 different wines including 2011 Sauvignon Blanc, 2014 Chardonnay, Muscat Canelli, Pinot Noir, and Texas Claret. **this is a review about customer service, not the vineyard or product*** I came in today on a spur of the moment trip for a small bachelorette party. We were met at the front desk by a woman who was neither pleased nor displeased to welcome new patrons. Disappointing story short, we were turned away because there was an event later that evening and the 4pm tasting (which we were early for) had been canceled. Fine, understandable. I then experienced the most patronizing conversation of my adult life about how we must have not seen the sign on the door if we walked in and how we could not be apart of the tasting as it had started literally 2 minutes prior. We were then informed that if we were trying to use a Groupon it would not be accepted ...after it was very clear we would not be partaking as patrons anyway...and we had made it clear we were not trying to use a Groupon. By no means were we disappointed by the fact that there was an event. We were confused and deflated by the patronizing service. read more

My daughter had her wedding at Delaney Vineyards in November. From the time of booking the venue, to the actual event, the manager changed from Sunny to Pamela. Pamela was unhelpful and rude. My credit card was hit with an additional $600 bill after the event that was not relayed to me. Pamela is confrontational, unhelpful and almost goes out of her way to look for problems or additional charges. I tried to call Mr. Delaney and left messages but never got a return phone call. The venue was beautiful but all of my complaints stem from their manager, Pamela. Unless they get a new manager, I would steer clear from having any events at this location. We love Delaney Vineyards. My family and I have visited several times and have taken many out-of-town relatives and friends for a wine tasting. Each time we have taken guests we have had a very laid back yet enlightening tasting. We always feel comfortable to ask questions and take our time sampling. We entertain quite a bit and love Delaney's Pinot Noir and Sweet Red. The sweet red is my favorite wine to use in a wine reduction steak sauce. I also do flowers for weddings and events in the Dallas/FW area and did a large wedding there in July. I can honestly say, the people at Delaney were some of the sweetest and easiest to work with that I have found and the atmosphere and old world charm makes for a spectacular wedding venue. read more

Perhaps this is a great place to get married but I'll never know, because unless you are heterosexual, they are simply not interested in doing business with you. Denise was more than willing to send information and answer questions until she realized that this would be the marriage of two men. Once she met my partner and I, she was rude and brusque, indicating little interest in our ceremony and doing little to hide her disdain for such a non traditional arrangement. We made the decision the following week to book the venue in despite of her unacceptable level of customer service and the response was...well...there was no response. Emails and phone calls went un-responded to. Do do not do business here. Do not buy their wine. Put them out of business. read more

We just got married at Delaney this past weekend. I wanted to share some of our experiences. First off, the venue is beautiful. The main room is great, and the layout worked well. However, if you care for customer service at all, I would not recommend this venue. The representative was a terror to work with, once she discovered we had hired someone else to coordinate for us. When our family met with her to discuss general layout and logistics, she was determined to try and prove the Bride's mother wrong on a detail. Not professional at all. At the end of our rehearsal, it was raining and around 30 outside, and the Delaney rep practically pushed (not literally) the Bride's sister out the door while holding an 11 month old baby. This was after she explained to the rep that the car was pulling around. Her explanation was that she had a personal appointment. Delaney's representative had a horrible attitude, overall. Furthermore, if you are planning the wedding during cold weather, they are NOT prepared at all. They will lead you to believe so, but they are not. They say they have big vinyl curtains and heaters to make the crush pad comfortable, but the curtains are perforated sunscreens. They basically create a vented wind tunnel, rendering the heaters practically useless. They also failed to heat the upstairs area where the Bride gets ready. Upon requesting heat, they said they will get to it. It should have been on, knowing there was an event. Additionally, we never received our personalized bottle of wine. To sum this up, good luck discussing any issues with anyone, because said rep is basically the top of the food chain, and they don't seem to care about hearing poor performance evaluations. Please, do yourself a favor and avoid this place, no matter how nice it may seem. At least until they replace the sales rep. They have now contacted me and threatened to sue for defamation. I tried to tell the staff about our issues and they ignored me. This is what happens. Funny, how am I supposed to warn others? Like I said before, good luck if you deal with them. read more

POOR customer service. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding here recently. Gorgeous, beautiful venue. But if you're looking for stress free accommodating service on your big day (like most brides) RUN. This is not the place for you. The coordinator was very rude before, during, and after the wedding. Unorganized, understaffed, inexcusable customer service. She wouldn't let the bride put flower pedals she purchased specifically for putting down the aisle like they discussed prior because "it's too much to clean up". Even if we all cleaned it ourselves ! During food service there wasn't any water on the tables so after guests wait in line for food they had to go to the drink line where they took orders one by one! What's the harm in having extra water set up on the bar ? After they cleared the tables of drinks guests went back to the bar to get another one, where they were aggressively told bring your glass back (but they took my glass), well then I don't know what to tell you! What a way to treat your guests who traveled overseas for your wedding. The coordinator was rude to guests, bride and groom, and even the brides mother ! Threatening to make the bride come back after her send off to settle an extra case of wine that was opened (even though they had her card on file). Unprofessional. I would get new management ASAP if I owned such a gorgeous venue. read more

I had an email from special deal possible 20% less on a venue and she acted like she has no idea but i still have the email. She basically wanted us to leave and not book this venue! Not the best experience for a winery. We were directed to a huge room with tables and told someone from the bar will serve us. No one came to the table for about 15 minutes and then when she did; qshe poured and told us which wine it was and she would be back with a menu of each wine we would try. Noone explained what to expect or their wine experience process(for example if we would tour and when and the process of picking and if any were local wines). I had to ask details...the flow wasn't good. We went for a girls birthday weekend getaway. It's leaves much to be imagined, we left early. read more

I have been to all of the other tasting rooms in Grapevine and had the most pleasant experience. I had really been wanting try Delaney and finally stopped in yesterday. The reception we received was the absolute worse greeting I've ever experienced. The lady at the counter was rude and had the most unpleasant attitude of anyone I have ever encountered. I was really offended by her uppity, look-down-her-nose, unwelcoming greeting. They did not have any time for tastings as they were already booked but I can honesty say I would not have stayed if they did. Come on people, what ever happened to first impressions? Shame on you. Looks like you lost another customer. I guess I should have payed attention to the other reviews and saved myself the trouble. read more

After calling the same week to confirm we didn't need a reservation- we were turned away at the front door at 3:00 pm on a Saturday- they said they only have one person working?! They either need to get more help or start taking reservations for parties under 6. We won't be going back. read more

I will never go back to this place again. I saw an ad for custom labeling and wanted to get my mother one of these for mother's day. I went in and wasn't even greeted. The lady up front looked at me and then went back to what she was doing (I was the only person in there). I then got her attention and inquired about the wines and custom labeling a bottle for my mom. She simply handed me a sheet to fill out. I told her that I didn't mind paying for a tasting but at least wanted to taste the Texas Rose before I bought two bottles of it. She simply said "well it tastes like Chardonnay." I said that I understood but I didn't want to take 2 bottles of wine home to my mother that I'd never tasted. She seemed obviously irritated and handed me a small plastic container and poured a sip of wine in it. The wine wasn't great and the customer service was by far the worst I have ever had (and I'm in the customer service industry). Afterwards, I decided to try a different winery and had the complete opposite experience. Delaney Has lost out on all future business from me and lost out on the nearly $80 I spent at the other winery. read more

Toured the 'winery' as part of a three-part tour. We were promised that this was the only real winery in the area - which only means that they grow their own grapes, process, and bottle their own wine on-premise. i think Delaney might have made a nice start, but we'll see how it fares after decades of experience. He came out of the cotton business (info courtesy of our tour guide). The wines were mostly blends, which to me, gave them less notable character. Like others noted, stingy pours, and very little information about each wine. We could have just as easily read the same thing on the little slip of paper they provided. The 'tasting room' was a ballroom. This was not set up to facilitate Q&A. The tables were all set with decorated chairs - to seat around 200 people, yet they squished my husband and me into an already-cramped table - maybe so the 'guide' didn't have to repeat what she was saying yet another time. There are reviews that state that the staff was friendly. They were not. They were cordial. They ought to consider hiring some overly-friendly southern drawls to even out the brusqueness of their other staff members. If you're looking for a friendly afternoon of sharing wine and good conversation, buy something at the local wine shop and share it in your own backyard. At least you know the company is good. read more

We went to a wedding at this place and although it was a stunning location the wine tat was served was the worst wine I have ever drank. It is quite expensive as well. The building was very hot, and seemed a little dirty. The bathrooms were not maintained. I actually walked outside to look at the vineyards and a large rat ran across my feet. We went to the Thursday night wine and music. For $16.00 dollars you get a very small glass of wine and less than great live music. Maybe my expectations were too high.....but we won't waste another evening there. The only food was overpriced and very small cheese trays. Two stars is probably one too many. read more

As vineyards go, Delaney is ok. I've been to better and I've been to worse. I'm sure the drought has a lot to do with the quality of the wine and I can't fault them for that. But the place itself isn't what I expected. I think they were trying to go for that "old world" feel but it just looked raggedy to me. I was there for the Grapevine Vineyard Run. The run was great! I bet this place is good for weddings or other gatherings but I honestly can't say I would book it. The pricing of the wine was a bit over my budget considering the quality. If you are a wine connoisseur, you won't like it either. I can't say I will return for anything other than an invitational event. read more

Who knew an entire vineyard & winery could be nestled in Grapevine right around Colleyville & Euless?! One of my girlfriends was wanting a weekend away at wineries in Fredericksburg for her birthday weekend. However, due to some planning reasons this was not a possibility. I found Delaney Vineyards while I was driving on 121 one day & thought I'd check it out. Sunny Abercrombie helped me set up the most perfect surprise for my friend!!! We had a larger group & they accommodated us perfectly. Sunny went above and beyond to communicate with me even when I changed the plan multiple times (oops!!). We did a 5 flight wine tasting & tour around the vineyard! Only $10/person!! All the wines were DELICIOUS!!! The entire group was so impressed with the venue & activity & not to mention price & how wonderful the entire staff was! Thank you 1 million times Delaney Vineyard for making such a wonderful day even better! I will for sure be recommending this winery to everyone who comes through! read more

Had my daughters wedding reception last night. Great venue. The look is spectacular. We had so many people we set up tables outside. They worked with my wife and daughter for weeks meeting with them multiple times to go over table placements and changes. Sheridan was very nice to work with and responded quickly to every request. Wine isn't the best but that is not why we were there. A great day. Would highly recommend Delaney Vineyards for a wedding reception! read more

I was married here in September of 2014. There were a few changes in the staff from when I signed all the initial paperwork up until the wedding day. It worked in my favor because it allowed for some flexibility with bringing in my own sparklers, champagne, using their rentals, etc. My wedding day was beautiful & my photos turned out wonderful! Denise was easy to get ahold of & I even met Mr. Delaney during my bridal portraits. I would pick Delaney all over again to get married. My guests all raved about how beautiful it was! read more

I came here for a bachelorette party. The inside looks ok-- a little more lighting can be used. The wine selections were decent. Nothing to rave about in my opinion. I didnt purchase a bottle. The tour lasted less than 30 minutes which is pretty short. The sommel5 pointed out some good facts about the vineyard-this was the best part about the visit. While our party was seated and sampling 5 wines, we didn't have a sommelier solely for our party. They juggled other parties as well as ours- which made it difficult and delayed. The place looks good to have a wedding, however I wouldn't want any of their wine. I can't say that I will be back. It left a mediocre taste in my mouth. read more

This winery is terrible. I can't believe it's gotten any positive reviews. I live in CA and have tasted dozens upon dozens of different types of wines, both American and European. While I don't think my personal taste is the end-all-be-all and I know everyone has their own taste - these wines ALL taste like vinegar. The three family members that were with me all agree. As a matter of fact, the event I was at gave two tickets for two free glasses of wine and people were leaving and giving strangers their left over tickets. It was that bad. Not only that but when I poured out their Claret, the woman serving me got offended and treated me like an idiot as if I I didn't know anything about wine. While I should have taken the opportunity to explain the wines were simply vinegar, I was guilted into choking down their Chardonnay as to avoid being treated terribly. Save yourself and avoid this place unless you bring your own wine. read more
