After taking a friend's suggestion to visit his extended family's business, we are so happy that we did! Came for breakfast on a Sunday morning around 10 to see lots of takeout orders on the counter and full restaurant. We were not sure what to expect pulling up to the strip-mall location by our favorite Aldi, but we found a cute, clean, COVID-19 safe environment with friendly staff ready to take our name for dine-in. It was only a 15 minute wait for a table and there was plexiglass between all booths. It was plenty spaced-out and sanitized. The breakfast food was amazing and very well-priced. It came out quickly from the kitchen and we had a very pleasant diner experience with coffee refills. We were carefully attended to by our server as well. I think we just might have found a new go-to diner SO close to our house, and right by the grocery store. I can't wait to try more food and the lunch options next time! read more

I was SO pleasantly surprised at this place! We are staying near Easton, but this diner was worth the drive! The corned beef hash lived up to the rep of "Best in Town" with thick, diced pieces of corned beef mixed with diced potatoes and your choice of eggs. And the French toast may be the best I've ever had! The food came out super fast and the server was so attentive. Definitely a repeat visit is in the future! read more

So I've only had the Pasta Salvi here. I had been dreaming of this little loaf of deliciousness since Salvi's went out of business several years ago. It truly is such a unique piece of awesomeness and I wasn't sure if I'd ever get one again. I loved Salvis for this one food menu item. I had my rehearsal dinner there for this one food menu item. It's that good. I'm so pleased I can enjoy it again at Delaney's Diner. And to me, it tastes exactly the same. My mom said she thought it was slightly different, but I was in pure bliss and didn't notice any difference. She ordered a humongous pork sandwich, I tried it--very good. Other than that I cannot comment on the food. They had a good crowd, so they must be doing something right. One thing to note--it seems kind of odd that this item isn't in a traditional Italian restaurant...but who cares as long as I have a place in the Columbus area I can get this little loaf of heaven! WOW... this place is really great. You would not think's so - it is one of those book by the cover things - this place is almost hidden in a beat up strip center. We had about a 20 minute wait on sunday morning but it was well worth it. I had the Reuben with their fried pasta block which were both awesome. The Reuben was very well made not just thrown togather like most reubens are. The fried pasta block (they have a cute name for it that I can't remember) was unique and very good - well worth trying. Wifie had their indy 500 breakfast which is a lot of food - the pork loin was awesome - what a great combo of sausage gravy and fried pork loin. Has brown's were good and the eggs were eggs. Westerville is really lucky to have a wonderful, family style breakfast diner that really revels in old fashioned design and fantastic service. Not only was the greeter friendly, our waitress was friendly (and fast) but the manager also came over a couple of times to check on us as well. This shows they really care what people think about their food and is a sign of a really terrific establishment. Now as for the food, it's huge portions of delicious, home cooked style traditional breakfast. Be prepared to get a doggy bag if you're not a big eater but the nice thing is their prices aren't large like their portions are. Everything in our meals was spot on, cooked and dressed exactly like we asked for and it made for a simply delightful breakfast overall. I really like Delaney's Diner. This was only our second visit and it confirmed my initial feeling. Delaney's is welcoming, the staff is friendly, and the food is good. I ordered the Hoosier Pork Tenderloin ($12.99) with sweet potato fries (+$1). My husband ordered the Reuben with apple sauce. The pork tenderloin is one of Delaney's specialities and it's big enough for multiple meals. The tenderloin is pounded thin, has a nicely seasoned breading and is served on a soft bun with lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard (& maybe mayo). So good! The sweet potato fries are seasoned and crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. Nicely done. The Reuben is served on rye and a nice balance of thinly sliced /stacked high corned beef, sauerkraut, thousand island, cheese, & toasted on the grill-top bread. Again, tasty food. I also ordered a side of French toast which was just awesome. The fried pork had a bit of spicy kick to it (but not overwhelming), hash browns were crispy yet tender, challah bread for the French toast was...well...I could have eaten 10 of them! The place is crowded (came here on a Tuesday morning) but the service is fast, though I never felt rushed. The service is great and the waitress was super friendly, helpful yet not invasive. The place is clean and the customers were happy and also friendly. Customers on both of my sides talked to me and told me how much they love this place. As I travel the country I search out the best local establishments in the towns I visit. Today I found Delaneys diner. This place is a diamond of a diner. I was greeted immediately and offered a seat at the counter for fastest service. Less than one minute and Cassie greeted me with a smile and whatll you have to drink. I watched the cook team prepare meals for customers. They were all enjoying their jobs, being friendly with customers who were at the counter. Everyone in the place who worked there made you feel welcome and appreciated. I asked Cassie for her recommendation between the pork tenderloin, the fried bologna, or the burger club. She emphatically recommended the fried bologna on texas toast. It was beyond delicious. Over 1/2 slice of bologna with a slice of provolone with pickles, onion, and mustard. An amazing combination. The food was okay, but I just didn't feel that it lived up to the hype and the wait. Our server was perky and friendly and was quick to refill our drinks. The biscuit breakfast was good, but it was served lukewarm and didn't blow me away. The pancake had very dense texture, not light and fluffy. I had trouble cutting it with a fork, but it was so dense that it did fill me up. The prices were fair for what we ordered. I've been to Delaney's twice now and I've been satisfied with my visit both times. It's kind of a hole in the wall place, but it's always busy on the weekend, which is a good sign. There aren't many local breakfast/lunch places left so it's nice to have this option. The restaurant is split in two different areas and each side has its own feel. The left side has a breakfast bar with booths that make you feel like you're in an old school diner. The right side gives more '50s diner type vibe with mostly tables and some 1/2 table 1/2 booth seating. On this visit I had the Delaney's Breakfast with Pancakes and everything came out as ordered. I also added a side of hash browns which were crunchy and soft at the same time, which is hard to do for some places. My only complaint was the coffee which wasn't very strong, but this could be for my own a personal taste. Overall, we'll be coming back for more delicious food. read more

This morning was our second time at Delaney's in Westerville. Both times have been fantastic. The hashbrowns are cheesy and delicious. The pancakes are the best diner pancakes I've had. The French toast is good but not great. Same with the sausage gravy (needs more sausage). The meat lovers omelette is fantastic, chock full of bacon, sausage, ham, and cheese with just enough egg to hold it together. Delaney's has quickly become our favorite breakfast place.
