She was wearing gloves to prepare food; however, she would touch the phone she was balancing on her shoulder and then touch another ingredient... this happened multiple times for multiple different orders. Our office placed an order via uber eats this afternoon for lunch. We ordered specific sandwiches, such as #25 Salami, avocado and sprouts. I didn't get the avocados or sprouts. Another coworker asked for NO peppers and they put extra peppers As soon as we noticed our sandwiches were not made correctly, we called and were told that they would make them again, but we'd have to pick them up. Clearly we can't, we're at work and only have 30 minute lunch. We asked for some kind of a refund and were told they couldn't do that, because we ordered through Uber Eats. Which that isn't true. The receipt clearly states (#25 SALAMI, AVOCADO AND SPROUTS). Needless to say, very disappointed in the poor customer service. We used to really like this restaurant and would order from here all the time. Today was just incredibly ridiculous, we ordered well over 30 minutes before closing and we receive sandwiches that we're just not edible. The bacon is see-through and appears to be raw, there's so much mayonnaise that the sandwiches drip clumps if you pick them up. Completely soaked, This turkey and bacon sandwich almost has no turkey on it at all. Keep in mind it's a $12 sandwich. This order was 60 bucks. *****When I called, all the girl did was yell at me, telling me I ordered 10 minutes before closing and that's how they make all their sandwiches, I told her we've never had sandwiches like this before these were just not right and that she did not try to make anything correct, I had to ask several times for a phone number to get anything done. We walked in at around 3:30 on 12/2. There was only one worker in the store and she was sitting down on the phone, which I didn't mind because me and my friend were still looking at the menu. She started taking his order while beginning to make it instead of on the register, which wasn't weird to me either. Me and my friend were paying separately and she was asking if there was anything else and we figured she was referring to his order. After she finished making his, I said what I wanted to order and she started laughing at me. She told me she asked if there was anything else so she could speed up our orders and not have to wait for her. I understood, but she kept laughing to herself about it. Owner/manager was so rude to her employees. Yelling at them. Correcting them so that all of us heard. We were so embarrassed for her staff. The employees were so kind to us. You could tell they were afraid of her. I've always loved the toasted bread. None of our 4 sandwiches were toasted. We were afraid to say anything for fear the staff would pay the price. Beer batter fries are hands down the best, and this location serves the most crispy fries, fresh made to order sandwiches among the other Deli Delicious I've been to. Since I always come here early in the morning, which makes me the only person waiting for food to come out, I haven't experienced any of the long wait or bad customer service that other people complained about. Everytime I was there, workers took extra time to explain or recommend what I haven't tried and made sure what I ordered is exactly what I received. I really appreciated that. This afternoon I went in to order a sandwich, there was only 2 young ladies working. One young lady started preparing my order from the back where the bread was. She was nice and polite, asked me what I would like. After she put my bread in the toaster oven she began placing the lunch meat and cheese in a pile on the cutting board. Then she began to stack the lettuce, tomato, pickles in another pile on the board. I asked her if I could have lunch meat that wasn't placed directly on the board, she informed me this is how they always make the sandwiches. She also stated that the bread is placed directly on the cutting board as well but it's ok because the board is sanitized. The board did not look clean and a white towel was in clear view. I watched her utilize this towel to wipe the board down numerous times while I ate my sandwich. Never switching it or rinsing it out. After a discussion about how I've never seen anyone do that before and the fact that I didn't feel it was very sanitary the worker made my sandwich with fresh products. I will never return to this store if you feel/train your employees to handle food this way. I highly suggest you give your staff training in proper food handling and sanitation procedures. read more
