It was just okay. I wouldn't come back though. Nothing special. When I ordered, the person at the counter look bored and didn't smile. I told him 1 drink and he was about to charge me for 2 drinks until I told him to please remove one of them before I paid. The seats were uncomfortable and the tall tables were wobbly with uncomfortably smaller seats on the stools for them. I got the clam chowder bread bowl with a drink. The clam chowder tasted like it was from a can. I'm sure it's probably not from a can, but I'm also pretty sure it's not made in-house. I really liked the toasty sourdough though. I was starving and running a little behind on time; so I was instantly bummed when I saw a small group of people off to the side and waiting for food. The counter person waved me over and stated they were all waiting for their online orders, "OK... cool?" I ordered the 6-inch tuna with lettuce, tomato, pickles, jalapeno, and banana peppers, along with a drink. By the time I had filled my drink and walked back to the pickup counter, my sandwich was already done! Apparently, online orders have to be made close to the pick-up time so they sit for too long. So, if five or more people order a sandwich for pickup at 12:30pm, your ass is waiting and walk-ins get taken care of first! They gave me a large tuna portion for my sandwich. It was very fresh and not too heavy on the mayo either, which can create a drippy sando. Loved all the toppings except that they put pickle spears on their sandwiches and not pickle chips... why? The sandwich came on dutch crunch bread, which I normally love, but it was hard a little hard to bite through. The crust was more chewy than crunchy, but still soft on the inside. The restaurant was clean. The bathroom could have used a cleaning. There is only one bathroom as well. The sandwich prices are a bit more than Jersey Mike's or Jimmy John's. Deli in the Vons plaza near Batter Up at Fowler and Herndon area. Friendly service. They have chowder bowls, soup of the day, salads and sandwiches made with yummy crisp hot sourdough rolls. My husband ordered the dry salami and turkey sandwich with clam chowder, and I got the Cobb salad. He said his sandwich was great with the roll being the best sourdough roll in the area for him. I ordered the Cobb salad, and it had plenty of chicken, blue cheese, avocado, bacon and egg. Unfortunately, I didn't like either of the dressings I picked, the jalapeño ranch or the Greek. I would try either an Italian or just oil and vinegar if I go again. I ordered a large salad but couldn't finish it. I would get the small if I go again. The clam chowder was fresh and you could tell it wasn't just out of a can. Better yet, I will try a sandwich next time since my husband raved about his. You also get warm bread with your salad order. We ordered door dash delivery of a Rueben & a French Dip on toasted sourdough along with 2 cups of their clam chowder. Chowder is made fresh daily. We felt like we were at the coast it was so good. I'm so glad this deli/restaurant came into Clovis!! I've been here numerous times and every time my food is hot, tasty and perfect portions. Today I got the spring special Greek grilled chicken sandwich, I added on the soup & drink to make it a meal! Of course I got clam chowder- amazing as always!! I usually get the garlic turkey pesto sandwich, I've had the French dip as well- ALL great options. The customer service is so good, friendly and professional!! I absolutely love how this restaurant is decorated, it is so stylish, the artwork is really cool. I really like the wood and metal accents. Clam chowder was just ok. Pastrami sandwich was horrible. If you're looking for a good hot pastrami sandwich don't go here. The sourdough bread was ok. Minimal meat that was thin lunch meat pastrami. We are new to Clovis and received a mailer which brought us out to the location. It's tucked away in the back corner but don't let that overlook this place. The food was amazing. We were greeted with a smile upon entering and everything after that was amazing. We had the Pastrami and the BBQ Brisket and neither was a disappointment. The order taker/cashier was very nice, however, i could barely understand him with his heavy accent. That's not good for the first person a customer talks to at the restaurant. The pictures on the wall show sandwiches stuffed full of veggies and meat. Then you open your sandwich and is a fraction of what is pictured. Clean and safe. Greeted and let worker know. Only waited a minute and it was ready! Lunchtime! Sandwich split. My half was really Great! What can you improve on... where do I start. Turkey and salami. On a 6 inch and 1 piece of salami and the turkey was almost non existent . I paid for hard bread, mayo onions Ana tomato. The sandwich was supposed to have mustard, no mustard but a crap load of mayo. Asked for a pickle in the sandwich, it's still waiting to go on someone's else's sandwich . The bread is so hard that we peeled the top layer of the bread off. 3 sandwich orders and bread could be used as a deadly weapon.Definitely this is not a place that wants to stay in business. Subway is gross and it would have been a better decision than this place. I've eaten here several times and it was great at the beginning but it has steadily gotten worse. I happened to email the address on the bottom of my receipt with my experience. Here is the email. I'm reaching out to let you know about an unfortunate experience. My husband and I went into the West Coast Sourdough tea for the first time because the Cobb salad looked appealing. We waited while the person at the register took the order of the lady in front of us. As I walked up to order I was happily smiling and said hello and was abruptly ignored. It caught me off guard and I looked at him again and his face was very straight almost on the verge of angry. My husband said hi and then he turned towards me so I said hello again. It was the most uncomfortable experience. He never smiled and very flatly asked after my order if that was all, as my husband stood next to me, so then my husband said his order, which was followed again very flatly with "is that all". Both of us were very concerned that our food was going to be messed with by the behavior of the guy. I found myself and my husband watching through the glass to see the other worker putting the salads together. The other guy there was very friendly and smiled. But I think the employee "Pritpal S" needs a refresher on customer service which starts with a greeting. Here is a copy of our receipt. While we did enjoy the salads we do not plan on returning. I couldn't make up my mind, as usual, but he let me know which sandwich was most popular. Apparently it's the French dip! I love a good French dip. You can get different combos like with chips and a drink, Mac n cheese and a drink, salad and a drink or soup and a drink. I love soup so I was interested in that combo. Their daily soup is clam chowder and their Friday soup is chicken and poblano chile. He gave me a sample of the chicken and poblano and yes, I had to have a cup! It was so delicious. I ordered a 6 inch sub and with the soup and soda it was sort of pricey. Like $18 for a lunch combo! Next time I'll have a coupon haha! And I say next time because I'll be back for sure. One of their newer locations as I had to add it on Yelp. Nice change to the usual sandwich shop with a California twist. Had previously been to their river park location and service there was amazing. This location needs a little improvement but the young lady taking the order may or just been having a bad day. The food was delicious. Takes a little longer than your usual sandwich shop, but as they say, good food takes time. I tried the French dip, and it was tasty. The sourdough gives it a nice chewy crunch and the meat was perfectly cooked. The store is clean and well stocked (chips) and the bathrooms are clean. Good place for sourdough sandwiches. A little on the pricey side but might just be inflation. Will def be going back and trying out different sandwiches. read more

I stumbled upon this place less then a month ago and have been to it three times since. I didn't know there was one in Visalia. I was super stoked about that!
