Let me start off with the GOOD stuff. This place is by far my favorite to come to for my sandwich needs. Some people complain about the price but not me the quality and taste makes it worth it. The place is always clean and a couple people in the staff are cool ass individuals. The fries are hella good and made fresh to order and the bread is the best thing there. Now on to the BAD part. A few times I have been in recently I have noticed this place is under staffed they need at least 4 people working at one time. And new employees need to be trained better. Today was ridiculous the new guy made so many mistakes and has a problem hearing what u say when u order. We went in today during lunch and t took about 25 minutes for our food to come out. The fries were cold and the sandwich wasn't made to my liking and the order was still wrong after the nice lady asked us if it was right. I don't care what anyone has to say waiting for a sandwich for more than 5 minutes is ridiculous. And although the staff was apologetic about the long wait I don't find it to be acceptable. There were some customers who waited in line for over 20 minutes. Hope this problem gets resolved or I'll just have to skip the quality and take my business elsewhere read more

First time visitor to this establishment... i am very pleased. The chicken is grilled and sliced, the veggies fresh and bread is delicious. The beer batter fries are amazing. Middle of the pack as far as sandwich joints in modesto. Pros: Very large portions. I got a medium and it was easily enough for two meals. Granted I am a huge dude that is pretty rare for any food place. Excellent fries. By far the best I have had in town. Tried the beer battered and was loving life. Good customer service. Staff was very patient with my inquiries and fairly cheery. Cons: Dutch crunch/crust bread is straight bogus. You know the crackles on the top of a dutch roll? They are like drawn on a regular french roll or something. Negative crunch, super soft bread. Overall flavor was rather bland. It reminded me of a sandwich from a grocery store but twice the size. Sure, I have enough food to feed a family of 4 but if its not that much tastier than something I make at home what's the point? Prices. If I go again I will go enlightened that a mini is not a mini, but a feast for a large man. I didn't know this sadly, and a medium was around 8.50. Which is alright, a lil high end, but to make it a combo with fries its another 4 bucks. Wayyyy too much imo even though those fries are straight bangin. Overall, not a jimmy johns fiasco thank god. I would put this place on around the togos/savemart deli tier. I think Mr.Pickles is still king of sammies, but deli delicious provides a decent alternative with some amazing fries. It's all in the name...It is a Delicious Deli! The BEST sandwiches in Modesto! This place has given Mr. Pickles & every other sandwich shop a run for their money! I can't even put into words how incredibly delicious the sandwiches are here. My little brother is a simple sandwich person: ham, lettuce, cheese & mayo. He tried the Monterey Ranch Chicken sandwich here and is now hooked! I am a fan of their Chipotle Chicken & Jack sandwich. The chicken in the sandwiches is well cooked and seasoned. The breads all seem freshly baked. There is a good variety of toppings for the sandwiches as well. One of my favorite things is that they have sprouts! I absolutely love sprouts on sandwiches and this is the only sandwich place I've ever been to that has it! Along with sandwiches, they have salads, a variety of fries & chips. The two times we visited (twice within 3 days) I saw a few people getting their salads and they looked delicious! I will give it a try next time. Something Deli Delicious has that sets them apart from every other sandwich shop is that they have fries. They have four kinds: regular, beer batter, curly & sweet potato. I had read about how great their beer batters are and they did not disappoint! Last night I also tried their sweet potato fries and they were just as delicious! The owner and staff here are very sweet! I really enjoy their company every time I visit. It is a nice location to come and eat at. They have quite a few booths and tables and it is always very neat and clean inside! I saw on their menu that they do catering as well and I would love to have a few sandwich trays from them in the future for school PTA meetings or small get togethers at home. This place is a great alternative to the Subway sandwiches you consider getting. Up and down the board, the sandwiches are really good. I come in all the time for chicken and turkey sandwiches while my boyfriend comes in for cheese steak and salami sandwiches. The staff is friendly, though theyre usually swamped with orders when I come in for lunch, so they always seem extremely busy. As sandwiches go, they have a lot of variety and theyre generous with their portions of whatever you want, but bread wise, they have thick bread. Now I love bread, I could eat bread on its own, but in a sandwich, you'd expect less of it to get to the good stuff in between. If you like bread, like.. A lot, you'll love this place. If you move past that, this place is still great. Highly recommend the beer battered fries, as well as their sweet potato fries. Those are what bring me back every time. They offer Pepsi products. The seating in the restaraunt is great for groups and families booth seats and high tables made for two. Haven't tried their cookies but they offer those for dessert. Visited today around 1pm & the food was great! However, the service made me sad a little bit. The older latina woman was fantastic. In fact, she did everything while the other employee did nothing as the lunch rush grew bigger & not to mention she went to the bathroom with her apron on...twice. The older woman took everyone's order & made all the sandwiches and didn't show stress once in a most definitely stressful situation. I will say that the sandwiches here are pretty good; fresh ingredients and huge portions are always great. However, the staff needs some work. I understand that the people employed here are younger, but there needs to be at least some kind of professionalism. The young man taking our order barely gave us the time of day. He simply pushed the buttons as we ordered, but otherwise was very distracted by something on his hand--by that I mean he was leaning up against the counter closely studying his hand while rotating his wrist. He seemed lazy, uninterested, and all around disconnected from the environment around him. It was quite strange and pretty rude. Even worse, though, while we were eating an employee (who was apparently off that day) came in with her younger sibling and was wearing flip flops and had her long, dark hair in a loose, unkempt ponytail. She shouted from the entrance at another employee to make her a sandwich, and proceeded back into the kitchen in just flip flops. This is not only dangerous for her, but completely gross and unsanitary for her to be in a kitchen setting in flip flops. Walked in, wasn't greeted at all. People in front of me were still ordering. They finished. Still wasn't greeted or given a "Hello , be right with you" basically I was non existent. The person who had taken the previous persons order just walked to the back to make sandwiches with his coworker using the SAME gloves he was already wearing. I didn't mind him helping his coworker out with the orders but at least acknowledge that I'm standing right there. I stood there for 5 mins before the other worker came to the front to input a DoorDash order into the system. Didn't look at me once until finallyyyyy she helped me. She seemed very distracted since I had to keep repeating my order. I want to add to that the other worker who was using dirty gloves to make FRESH food. I included special instructions and after completing order I called the store to ensure the special instructions were followed. I spoke with Victor and he indicated he had already received the order and made one of the sandwiches with the instructions. When the order arrived, we had 4 of the 5 sandwiches with wrong ingredients completely. The chips were missing also. When I called the store, Anthony indicated that it was "lunch time and they are really busy". Never offered a solution and made excuses. Blamed the mistakes on Door Dash.
