Delicately Delicious did it again! Needed a pickleball themed cake for my husband's surprise 60th. Ordering online was easy - just told them what I wanted, gave them a date and time for pick up, and we were ready to go! Pick up was fast and friendly. The cake was so amazing- Chocolate with raspberry between layers. All of my guests commented on the fun cake that was so moist and delicious! And every time I serve these cakes - I get asked over and over again where I bought it! It is so good to have such a great establishment nearby! I'm so lucky! read more

We've used this bakery for my baby shower cake and my daughter's birthday cakes every year. So I've always LOVED their cakes and products. The best cake/frosting I've ever had. And cakes are always beautiful. However; today was the first time I've ever experienced a "customer service moment". Due to error more than likely on my part, my cupcake pick up order never made it through to them. The woman working, who I assume was the owner, was BEYOND amazing. The cupcake my pregnant friend wanted was sold out, so she on the fly put something together for her to meet her craving. Last minute. About to close. Other people walking in the door. Took time away to help me in my moment. And she was so so kind about it, again even tho it more than likely was on my error and not her fault or mess to fix. So was so helpful and really helped save an "oopsy" moment in my part. And she wasn't even annoyed with me for a second in my "brain panic". Was so genuine and light hearted. I truely appreciated it! I stopped in last minute for a birthday cake and expected only cupcakes - luckily for me they had full cakes too!! I chose one with layers of chocolate and vanilla cake. It had raspberry buttercream in between the layers and the outside was finished in traditional buttercream with chocolate flakes on the outside. I would have never picked this combination myself but everyone at the party enjoyed it!! The buttercream is real and does need to soften at room temperature but it's worth the wait! Guess who turned 50 & had no birthday cake despite ordering one 3 months in advance? Yep, that would be me. I emailed well in advance to make sure I would have a cake because I've had issues before when ordering a week in advance despite it being the bakery's policy. I gave the basics (size and cake flavor) but said I would decide on the decorations closer to the date. I received a reply email saying "We will save you a spot and talk closer to the date." I tried to stop in but the hours have been drastically reduced. (Who wants to pick up a cake on Saturday for the following Wednesday? Yuck ) Because they were closed, I emailed again and received a reply (2 days later) they couldn't make my cake because I didn't give them a week's notice. I responded by forwarding the emails from January (my bday is in April). Jennifer responded it wasn't a real order unless I had decided on everything. Seriously? The decorations made a difference? Then she said she was out of town that week and an employee had responded so... What?!? Apparently it's also not a real order if her employee responds. Jennifer reluctantly said she would make my cake with a whole lot of implied "this is all your fault" and "I'm doing you a big favor". She took ZERO responsibility for not recording my cake order when I first emailed I was so disgusted I didn't even want a cake anymore, which is how my 50th birthday went. The cakes are good but certainly not worth the drama and bs. Their cupcakes are pretty but always horribly dry. Find another bakery if you want to actually have a cake on your special day. read more

Attempted to call the bakery the following Wednesday (because they are closed Monday/Tuesday), and received a voicemail stating the business was closed for the entire week. I have to admit, I was kind of obsessed with getting an amazing wedding cake (I am a huge cake fiend!) I went to 6 different bakeries in the Milwaukee area, and none of them tasted as good as the sample we got from Delicatley Delicious. The only vendor that came even close to being as good was nearly twice as expensive! The best part of my wedding day was marrying my husband, but the best part of the day for most of my guests was this cake. I had numerous people come up to me during the reception saying that it was the best wedding cake they had ever had. The cake was 4 layers, each moist and delicious, with fluffy raspberry mousse and rich chocolate ganache filling. The buttercream frosting was light and not overly sweet-- it was perfect. Even my non-cake loving husband devoured his slice! They were easy to work with and the cake design turned out exactly as I had requested. I could not recommend getting a cake from Delicatley Delicious more highly. This is the BEST place ever to get a cake! We have been getting our cakes here for years, and recently Delicately Delicious has moved to a new location and it's better than ever. They now have a retail area with cupcakes and other goodies. I recently called and they had a cake all made up and ready to go... exactly what I needed. Not only are the cakes the best ever and the buttercream the best I've ever had (light, fluffy not too sweet)... they have online ordering that is super easy. Great choice combinations (I'm partial to the chocolate cake with mocha filling)... and I have NEVER been disappointed. I ordered a tiny (individual) birthday cake for my elderly mother's (89 years old!) zoom birthday party attended by her children and grandchildren spread across the entire country (we each made or purchased our own cake to eat). Those of us who live closer could not be with her because of the pandemic. The cake was absolutely beautiful -- it met the very highest standards for a decorated cake and to say my mother (who is herself a highly accomplished baker) was delighted and wowed is an understatement. I had a cake from Jenn for my wedding and man was it delicious! She even got the colors correct even though I never gave her sample(my bad, so many small details for the wedding this got lost int he shuffle). We sat down a few months before the wedding and went over what I wanted it to look and taste like. I had 3 tiers, 2 of white cake with strawberry ganache/jam and one with red velvet cake with cream cheese filling. I got nothing but compliments on the cake. It was not only beautiful but exactly what I asked for and it tasted wonderful! I had tasted cake from her and 2 others(eat cake in Milwaukee and sweetheart cakes in Port Washington) and hers was by far the best. The reason only 4 stars is because her communication is a little lacking. I understand she is very busy but there were a few emails that were not responded to and she also stated in at least 2 conversations that her email is at home and her paperwork for my cake was at the bakery, creating a disconnect with what I wanted and what the emails contained. Also, she stated her delivery would be between 3 and 4 when the ceremony started at 4 and the reception at 6. As I was waiting to have the guests seated in the ceremony room I had asked someone to make sure the cake was there. Not something I really wanted to be concerned with at that point. Overall I would definitely recommend her to friends who are needing a cake of any sort, but warn them to be on top of everything with details and such. I was planning my wedding from a different state so I couldn't just stop in and see how things were going. Her price was definitely reasonable and she had a military discount.! Score! read more

They were moist and had just the right amount of sweetness. We ordered vanilla with vanilla buttercream, chocolate with raspberry filling, and vanilla with mocha filling. My favorite was the chocolate raspberry but they were all delicious. The price was very reasonable and they delivered the cakes to our venue. Finally stopped by this place with my 2 yr daughter today after taking a stroll down the main strip. I never liked cupcakes because of the usual heavy hydrogenated oil gross super sweet frosting you generally find on cupcakes, but I promised my daughter a treat and we picked out a salted caramel cupcake. I decided to share it with her so her portion would be a little smaller than a whole cupcake and I'm so glad I did. It was the most delicious cupcake I've ever tried. Very moist, flavorful and the frosting was to die for. Made from real butter, not too sweet and in a perfect proportion to the cupcake.
