I went in for a couple of pecan bars yesterday. I ate one at home and I was blown away. I was afraid it would be too sweet but it definitely was not. Perfect. I can't tell you how many times I've driven by Delicious and thought, "I've got to go in there sometime." I finally went last weekend, and the minute I walked in, I couldn't help but smile. There are so many delicious goods to take in, ranging from cheesecake bars to M&M cookies to sticky buns. I picked out some cupcakes (because who can resist a beautifully iced cupcake?!) Delicious is the perfect little bakery, they are really doing big things! Small but mighty comes to mind! They have everything you could want or need from coffees to cakes and cookies! My daughters and I made the short trip over and we had three cupcakes! Cookies and Cream, an Easter cupcake with a cute little chick and I had the key lime! All three were very well decorated, you can see how much care they put into their products! The key lime was a flavor explosion but not overly sweet! Got a cake from this spot for our engagement party and it blew everyone away! The design was spectacular, the lemon raspberry cake was absolutely perfect. The cake was light and airy and the raspberry jam and lemon cream paired with a light buttercream was just perfect on a nice fall day. The name says it all but they are missing out on a TON of business by closing at 7. It's a dessert cafe...and it closes at 7???? We got cake and coffee a few minutes before 7 and took it outside to eat so the employees could lock up. Between 7:00 and 7:10 I counted 10 people who tried to come in for dessert. That's one person per minute. It would make more sense to open later (11 am) and close later (10 pm). Also they no longer have chocolate raspberry truffle cake by the slice. They did have the chocolate truffle cake, which was delicious but my hubby was disappointed because he likes the raspberry. My caffe latte was very weak -will not order that again. It tasted like steamed milk with no coffee in it!
