If you're not looking for brisket they also have tacos, enchiladas and all of the regular options you'd expect to see at a Mexican restaurant. My biggest complaint may be others favorite part of Delicious. Their salsa always tends to be very hot - the level of hot that can take away from enjoying the flavor. Beware! Open your to go order and check that everything is in there. I ordered the combo plate (chile relleno, taco, gordita, beans and rice). When I got home and prepared to eat, the chile relleno was missing. My meal was ruined. When you have your mind set to what you want to eat, you don't want it to be missing. I called and the owner offered 2 chile rellenos. I told her that wasn't good enough. The rest of my meal would be cold by the time I got back and I would be paying for the gas and the time to go pick up the two chile rellenos. I told her that any manager would refund the credit card charge (only $10.00) I felt that was adequate for ruining my meal. I mentioned YELP and she hung up. I guess Delicious Mexican Eatery doesn't respect Yelp reviews. I do remember while having a long wait for my order that the overhead vents were dirty and the cabinet that holds the tea needs repairs. This is a far cry from the old restaurant that used to get awards. Mexican restaurants are many in El Paso. I just won't be going to that one any more. They have no respect for the customers. Food was authentic and the chips and salsa was a good appetizer while I waited. Ordered a chicharrones plate, chicharrones burrito and a tamale. Chicharrones had great flavor, but the consistency is not what o prefer. It was very slimy and I prefer fried crunchiness. I would recommend trying their chicharrones and find out for yourself. Food is ok. Service is bad. If you call to order they never pick up and if they do they'll put you on hold forever. One time I was on hold the whole drive over there, I got there with my AirPod in my ear and call still on hold. I came up to the counter and employees were just talking amongst themselves. Although the food is good, the service is not. My aunt took me to try out the local cuisine and she ordered 2 Gorditas platter and made sure to let them know it was the platter that came with rice and beans. She did this because she has gone there several times and ordered the same thing and very often they do not include the rice and beans that come with the platter. So in this instance, she made sure to remind them about all the fixens that come with the meal. When she got her order she inspected the contents and sure enough, the rice and beans were missing. She mentioned this to the cashier and several excuses were given as to why the rice and beans were missing. "I didn't hear you", "it's too late to give you the rice and beans", we can't take the food back as there are no refunds". This is like going to McDonalds and ordering the #2 value meal and only getting the burger when you have already paid for the entire meal. You didn't hear that she wanted two Gordita platters but still gave us two seperate orders of Gorditas. My aunt didn't order 6 gorditas, she ordered two platters, how do you forget the rice and beans? Why not just say sorry ill get the rest of your order out instead of fighting with a long time customer that there is no way she can get her rice and beans unless she orders another platter. My aunt is a senior citizen, she visits this place because she likes the food and out of loyalty to the previous owners. I called and spoke to the catering manager about ordering food for a family party. She gave me prices of their platters and when I went into the restaurant to order, the platters were 20.00 above the prices she had previously given me. 29.79 to 49.99 was too much of an increase for me! She denied giving me the price of 29.79 and insisted I was the one who got it wrong. The person at the register agreed the manager isn't familiar with the prices. Okay, well why is she giving random prices over the phone. Not once did they ever try to make it right and correct their error. I've come back year after year and I got to say the quality of their gorditas has gone down. I exclusively always buy just the gorditas and they have gone from a fluffy crispy light gorditas to a hard thick grainy shell. Was disappointed the meat is still good a little over cheesed and salsa is still great but that's not what I go in there for. read more

Well this is the second time I go to Delicious in 20 years. My first experience was not to memorable. Today we ordered 2 Menudo'sa brisket burrito and a small rajas con queso. An agua de limón and a glass of water. My daughter had never been, so I thought we'd give it a shot. The menudo was good as was the brisket burrito. It took a while to get our food even though there was just one other table. Asked for tostadas for rajas and we were told they came with flour tortilla, we didn't get that either. We ordered a limonade and a glass of water. The glass of water I got was an 8oz glass which I had to refill four times. Lol I finally asked if I could have a bigger glass and Cashier said that's the only size we have. Hard to believe this is a dime in restaurant, she then offered to sell me a to go cup for .50 cents. They didn't any of the fixings for menudo either. We had to ask for it as well. (Onions, limes, condiments)I'd like to say that the service was not very good and it's not due to Covid. There was two cashiers several cooks and a bus boy. A lot of horse play and joking around minimal if not any worrying about customer service. I blame my parents for getting me hooked on their yummy burritos! Everything I have tasted here is - well, as the name describes - Delicious! My FAVE items are the picadillo burrito which is ground beef and potato and mouthwatering seasonings wrapped up in a tasty tortilla. The shredded beef/brisket is my second fave, again wrapped neatly in a tortilla. I also REALLY like their empanadas. No matter what filing they use, the sweet bread is just sooooo good! So my husband and I used to visit this place almost once a week. Then one weekend about a month ago a new cook was brought in. Everything we ordered (tacos, gorditas, rice , beans) was swimming in grease. Since we frequented it, I call to let them know . We were offered a credit. Not our money back. Some we used to go there a lot, we agreed. My husband went and we ordered slightly different items. We were only given credit for the tacos and had to purchase the other items. My husband drives all the way home- far away and the items we paid for were not in the bag. He called upset and this time we were given monetary credit. The owner Lilly didn't get the concept of the inconveniences. We won't be going anymore. There is only so much you can do with tacos you can literally squeeze the grease out of. There are only 2 occasions that swing by this restaurant, after I work through the night and when I party through the night. I always have the same two things from this place, the chorizo breakfast burrito and the Mexican breakfast burrito. They are both great and would recommend them to anyone. Soul food for me is a steaming bowl of their caldo de res. The meat is always tender, there are plenty of vegetables and not too many potatoes, and the rice is always cooked perfectly.
