First time here. Had green chicken enchiladas. It came with a side cup of caldo. Everything was delicious! I will be returning.

Their Salsa was amazing! It was not to hot with a hint of oregano! It was very Tasty!

The Menudo there is excellent best Menudo that I've tasted so far you should go and try it .

I love their breakfast menu and they are very thankful and I love their enchiladas. The sauce is so good.‍

I am an outstanding cook, almost always on Saturdays, when I mount my eBikeKit-assisted CruzBike and cycle to an outstanding eatery for takeaway! I've been extremely pleased to go to this excellent restaurant because it is relatively close to my home, which is good because this cursed COVID19 pandemic crisis has made it difficult for the staff to answer their phone--I cycled there to place my order in person. Regardless of that technicality, I was able to easily prefer a large/family style meal to go, ready for pick up within 30 minutes. And it was delicious Mexican food that lasted several meals! We Love going for the lunch special they have. It varies each weekday. On Saturdays my favorite is Breakfast Red Cheese Enchiladas (Enchiladas Montada) with 2 over easy eggs with Chili Colorado on top.... Oh! My! So good........ My daughter in law got me started. :) read more

My husband and I have been going here for breakfast every Saturday morning. We made it our weekly ritual to meet our friend here, and enjoy a simple, inexpensive breakfast. I always enjoy the food and the atmosphere. It's a simple looking place, not fancy. The staff is nice, and let me tell you, they get busy. By the time we leave there at 9 am, the place is packed. I've enjoyed lunch here, and had caldo. Yummy. If you like simple food, give this place try. We all need "that place" where a family can go and break bread yet not the bank. Las Fuentes is THAT place for our family. After church, we get my disabled mom and we come to eat. Its a traditional Mexican restaurant with that taste. Occasionally a TV is on yet mainly Mexican music is piped in from the radio. The same ladies have been servers here for years and they do a good job of providing customer service. The free chips and salsa are tasty and their breakfast is awesome. One negative, if there are a lot of customers, the orders take time and flavor might be lacking. We have been coming here for years and I highly recommend it. Really good food, large portions, low prices, and great service! The staff is very friendly and attentive. We got a Chile Colorado plate and it was very authentic and delicious. We also got a #2 that came with a chile relleno, a beef taco (incredibly good taco) and a cheese enchilada. This place was recommended to us by the guy working the Avis lot at the airport. We both got the #2 combo. The chile rellenos were not very good. In fact, everything on the plate was very average. A hidden jewel in the Eastridge neighborhood, Las Fuentes is a family place like so many of the best restaurants in El Paso and somebody in the back loves to cook because their food is way above average. My family had green chicken enchiladas and chicken flautas. I'm an enchilada snob and I learned from my dad so I decided to test our server. "How are your enchiladas?" "Very good: I like them." "Really? How's the green sauce?" "It's very good." "Oh yeah? How many cans of sauce do you use each day?" She stood up straight and looked deeply offended. "We NEVER use canned sauce. We make our sauce fresh every day." Then she walked away and I was thinking I probably pushed my luck too far when she reappeared with a purposeful look and a small cup with green sauce in it. "Here," she said, thrusting the cup toward me. "Taste the sauce." Folks I am here to tell you I have never tasted green enchilada sauce like that and I love me some green enchiladas. The sauce is light with small bits of chile and has a complex flavor that kept my pallet guessing for a few minutes. The food was as good as the sample and even my dad was pleased. This is the best kept secret in all of El Paso! The food is so authentic and delicious. Definitely not "unnatural" like another yelper accused. Their prices are very inexpensive without compromising the taste of the food. They have daily specials for $4.99 (or $5.99 if it's steak or fish) The staff are very nice and make the environment here feel like you're with family. I recommend the green enchiladas if you can handle the spice from the sauce. The green sauce they use is seriously from the heavens! I've been here twice and should have learned my lesson the first time but I believe in second chances. Now, first let me say the food is somewhat good but the service is not. The wait staff is hard to find and there is no organization or proper distribution of areas of responsibility for the waiters to concentrate on, its just all over the place. Just not good. 10 minutes to be acknowledged by server after having been sat by different server. One order at our table was wrong and server blamed the kitchen. Then 4 of the 5 plates were brought out. After 5 mins asked the server where the fifth plate was and seemed like they forgot. 5 minutes later the last plate came out and again, the server blamed the kitchen. Horrible service. We are part of a Radio Disc Jockeys group, a large group. The waitresses 4 leave us unattended while the restaurant remains empty and only our group. Lack of utensils at time food is brought out. Lack of napkins with the food. We ask several times to bring utensils and napkins. When food comes to the table its cold. The only thing hot is that wretched tortilla soup fit for a dog. I asked numerous times as we're a large group, for the use of their tv to plug a usb for a presentation we needed to do. The waitresses didn't know anything about the tv, if it was a flat screen or smart tv or if one could connect anything to it. I asked for them to ask someone else for info. The answer never came. Yet, they complain about their stupid tip when the service is horrid. The food is marginal the staff is terrible, the atmosphere lacks cooperation from the very staff that caters to customers or large groups. The next time I go to this monthly reunion at this place myself and several others aren't eating were just going to have something to drink but eat elsewhere before coming here. Went on a Saturday morning they where very understaffed. It took awhile for order to be taken as well as refills. When the food arrived it was good until we started to eat the pancakes. About two bites in we find a long black hair. I let the waitress know she just took the plate no apology or replacement, she then just brought us the check without removing the hair laced pancakes. read more
